Absolutely agree with you there. David Arnold composed it and of course went on to create arguably the best scores in the series since John Barry. I always thought this song would have worked wonderfully for a sort of direct follow-up to OHMSS (If they had made one in the 90's with either Dalton or Brosnan of course) with the song being all about emotional numbness. If I ever make a Bond fan-film I think I'll force myself into using it, there's a reason the rest of the Bond community loves creating alternate title sequences with this song, it's absolutely elite and perfectly suits the character of Bond even though it wasn't written about him! 🤣
Best song of Bjork. Its like you are in different world when you listen to this song.I remember when MTv plated her songs and they were all strange and then this one came along and it was like the best song of that year.
One of my favourites from the Nineties, along with Massive Attack and Tracy Thorn's Protection. Such emotional power in the vocals, the haunting lyrics and the soundscapes in both songs are extraordinary. They still affect me now. Magical.
I was UA-cam searching for this song based of a vague childhood memory of Bjork having a phenomenal song that sounded a little Massive Attack with that soaring Violin piece... I could never find. Until finally I found it on Virgin Atlantic flight to Cape Town before Christmas on a Bjork album that I searched through on the in-flight wntertainment system. I must have listened to it 20 times straight! 😂😅
I didn't realise this was produced by David Arnold. He worked on many Bondy films and Bjork could have song a main Bond theme. Sadly we only got a Cover of you only live twice by Bjork and David Arnold.
Nowadays artists and singers are not even up to the level of bjork she is by far one of the best artists in the last 100 years. She just exudes so much brilliant music
Man, underrated song, I had known Bjork as an eccentric and experimental artist - but after I first listened to this, I realized what an incredible voice she has, and a stunning performer, very fun artist to watch live!
One of the best films I saw as a teen highly underated and the trailers are rubbish. Nightmare to get ahold of on Blu-ray for UK and a film which became true decades later inlondin and UK and Bjorks best song
David arnold is truly 100percent a genius i love everything he does, he can take any song any artist and make it sound epic he does bond themes and othernthings but youll onow his sound when you hear it. Listen too the propellerheads_ on her kajesties secret service ft.david arnold and youll hear that thumping sound or charlies ajgels 2 soundtrack Pink real good time ft.David Arnold
Even without the video this song alone is a cinematic experience
I've never watched the video till now but I've always LOVED this song. 'Come to me' is also brilliant and beautiful
I Know What you mean!🥳
I always refer to this song as the best James Bond theme song never used in a James Bond movie

I'm so happy to find that I'm not the only one.
Fuckin A
Agree
I can totally see it as a Bond theme
One of the Best Songs from the 90s.
Damn this song is underrated!
Amen!
Very true same with the film its from Young Americans is a great movie.
Go listen to Sinéad O’Conner from the 90s, like, thief of your heart, still listening, fire on Babylon…
@lo6465 Thank You for the recommendations.
She like a Nordic Goddess singing her heart out on top of a mountain
Bjork's best surely

a bit angry I’ve never heard it before - beyond sublime
Me too! It’s ok I just discovered her recently
I have had this album since it came out and have listened to it a million times. I've never heard of this song in my LIFE until now.
Every Morning before going to school in winter January 1995 played at MTV .
One of the best songs ever written x Bjork is the business
Bjork's collaboration here with David Arnold is absolutely sublime.
Feel this within my whole soul. She makes you feel every word . Love her
How does this Masterpiece only have 45,000 views? Criminal 😢
This is going to be the soundtrack to my visit to Icleand in June 🇮🇸
Björk what a voice😍😍😍
Probably the most beautiful song ever sung, the Icelandic pronunciation is dazzling. Old viking soul of mine feels right at home.
I have been through what is happening in this song . Thank you Bjork for being such a genius.
Me 2
Totally brilliant. Visceral, sensitive and deep. Majestic piece of writing and orchestration.
Such a brilliant underatted song 🙂
Staggering vocal performance on a stunning song, one of my favourite artists of all time, bjork , bonkers, beautiful and brilliant in my opinion.
What a song.....
She showed these boys & girl bands of the 90s how its done 🫡
Best song of Bjork. Its like you are in different world when you listen to this song.I remember when MTv plated her songs and they were all strange and then this one came along and it was like the best song of that year.
Fun fact: Reykjavik is sometimes lovingly called the "City of Fear" (Borg Óttans). I belive it's nickname originated from this song.
At the time it had the highest suicide rate in the world; per capita.
A song actually ahead of its time. Applies so much to today's world. Amazing how she and her producers knew what they were doing.
This is her best track by a million miles
One of my favourites from the Nineties, along with Massive Attack and Tracy Thorn's Protection. Such emotional power in the vocals, the haunting lyrics and the soundscapes in both songs are extraordinary. They still affect me now. Magical.
Along with Portishead👏
Oh definitely, Portishead. Again creative soundscapes and memorable vocals.

Remember the song from my childhood and liked it. never saw the video until now. It's pretty good.
First time I heard this song, I think I stopped the disc and listened to it again like 5 times in a row. It floored me.
You should listen to the full album, its so good
SHIT sorry accidentally replied to the wrong person 😭
Literal chills
On paper, a collab between the loveably eccentric Bjork and the quiet, shy David Arnold should never have worked - but....... Epic tune!
Masterpiece! Sad that she didn't more songs like this!
So many to chose from, my favourite is Crying, those harmonies just send me into a Crying stuper, just amazing ❤
Nowadays artists and singers are not even up to the level of bjork she is by far one of the best artists in the last 100 years. She just exudes so much brilliant music
One of my all time favourite songs...Bjork.. in harmony with a symphony of music...
Man, underrated song, I had known Bjork as an eccentric and experimental artist - but after I first listened to this, I realized what an incredible voice she has, and a stunning performer, very fun artist to watch live!

The 1990s had a style perfection to it, unpresidented to this very day. This video reveals that.
