Thursday 13th 2022. Halo servers were closed forever on Xbox 360 12 hours ago, I’m sitting on my bed, I played this game since 2009 on my Xbox 360 until 2018, and yes, I’m crying remember old the good fucking days with my friends and ranked games on TS TD MLG LW, i remember, that’s weekends, is Friday night, I’m arriving home after a day school, I’m taking the control to turn on my Xbox, putting matchmaking option and select TD, then, is 10 pm and passed a good hours talking and enjoying with my online friends. Time to sleep……how I miss that 😢
Anyone else have those moments of silence and like kinda reflection I guess? When you and your pals were all heading off, everyone's left lobby, left the XBL party and you just return to this menu and it's just you alone with this music playing. It just had this sort of isolated, end-of-the-day, reflecting-type feeling to it, and this music just bumping. I'd just sit there and listen for a while, just staring at the screen.
As a kid I didn’t even turn my Xbox off at night i just let the music play all night, I miss those days halo 3 is truly special, if only we knew where gaming was going too bad we couldn’t have it this way forever
First of all I didn’t even see the case I dug right into the game and was like no it’s a install disk but then. Then I looked closer to realize not only did I get odst but here we are with halo 3 and the mythic map packs WHAT as they were coming out to 360 store. What a steal. But man great times. Remember the skulls? Flexing that armor
Halo 3 was when the pinnacle of online multiplayer was around. When casuals and competitive alike could have fun together. I hope that things can get to what once was with Halo and other online multiplayer games. What too with all the clans that actually were fun to be in, LCU, KSI, Sangheili-based clans, and more. It’ll be hard to recreate what once was.
Sadly, every multi-player game today is so over-tuned with skill based matchmaking to keep player retention up that even if Halo 3 got made today it wouldn't be as fun. You never feel like you're improving when the game matches you with people who are exactly the same skill level to keep you tilted.
7 years later, This game created memories beyond greatful. The effort Bungie did to make something last, 117k views, i even graduated my class rank at 117. Halo will never be forgotten.
There was a special kind of feeling after all the buddies left party chat when I’d find myself alone again in this menu still grinning from the evening. It was a complicated mix of elation and instant nostalgia moving from chaos to thoughtful contemplation. In many ways, Halo taught me to appreciate peace and friendship.
I went back home for a visit. Me and my bro broke out the old 360 and played Halo 3 multiplayer for the last time before they shut down LIVE services for 360 Halo. It was a sad moment but one Ill never forget with my brother. Just hearing the music stirs something up in you, idk how to explain it, but I know you all know exactly what Im talking about.

I remember playing Halo 1 and 2 with my cousin, but I never had an Xbox so when I got a 360 Halo 3 ODST and Reach were the first ones I got. I didn't even know the Mythic Disc was with ODST. I thought it was the full campaign cause I didn't bother looking it up, but even doe I was disappointed, I was so happy to play halo 3 multiplayer. I knew the story of Halo 3 but didn't get to play the campaign myself till Halo 4 came out.
It’s nearly making me cry, just remembering the good ol days when I was a lot younger just gaming this halo game, I still have the disc to. I hold it as a relic of nostalgia. And good memory
Been putting this on almost every night at a low volume whenever I go to sleep, just due to how peaceful and at ease it is. really reminds me of the good old days.

my high school graduation gift was a 360 and a copy of Halo 3. it was one of the best summers i ever experienced. a conclusion to a journey i started with halo all the way back in 2001. what a journey.
Will never forget when i got level 50 in team slayer and lonewolfs. It took me 1 year and 2 months but i got there in the end 😂😂 Forever stuck at 49 in team doubles. It still bothers me i was never able to get 50 in dubs forever stuck at 49 . 😔 Thanks for the memories Halo 😢
Does anyone else notice that the Halo theme almost sounds like a goodbye, like, it's telling us to move on, but to also remember all the memories we made playing it 13:51
It's Called "Never Forget"
Yeah, I just wished that I could go back to the old days.
I got the chills dude
i too have very strong feelings for you because of this😂
I used to be in the lobby for hours hearing this music...and we would have people sleep on us late nights... AND we had no choice!!! Bungie never gave us a settings tab to use to turn it down. LOL
I remember hearing this menu music for the first time like it was just yesterday. Still sooooo good. I got my 360 in 2008 and ODST was the first time I got to experience a brand new Halo drop, so much nostalgia. Can’t believe it was 13 years ago now. I still think I have more play time in Halo 3 than any other game to this day
I will never be able to go back, man, I wish I could have just one day again. Talk to my old friends, see my cat, walk the streets I grew up on. Those were good years, I have different things to be grateful for now though. It's ok, I'll be alright. My life isn't over and I gain more to be happy about with each passing day. Thank you, for the memories you gave, the experiences I had, the friends I talked to, the games I played. This is a part of my life now, forgotten memories, and I suppose, someday, a long time from now, maybe I'll remember again.
Were my OG players still on 360
Man I miss being a lobby warrior
¡Excelente! Me gusta que este extendido el Soundtrack.

A soundtrack to great nostalgia for many of us. Smile because it happened gents 🍻 kids today don't know how good we had it.
