I had to share these results with you! The brand-new Volair Forza Mach 1 is an insane paddle. I'm all about spin numbers and this paddle is now #1 on my spin test ranking. Everything I do is for the community and I am trying to bring unbiased information so you can make a more informed decision on your next pickleball paddle!

So as you requested, I'm getting back to you after purchasing the Forza paddle based on your review. I have played a few times and practiced with it a lot (hitting several thousand balls) since I received it. Here is the bottom line about the Forza paddle in my opinion: it is very powerful and has excellent control. When serving hard you will have to take some power off the swing or back up a step or two. It is great for dinking and excellent for hitting specific spots when practicing on a wall. In addition, the paddle eraser that came with it really works. I would recommend this paddle. For comparison, my last paddle was a Selkirk Power Air. The Forza is better at everything. Thanks for the help.
Gotta compare this to SixZero DBD 16mm... probably a great side-by-side to show -- ESPECIALLY if the 6.0 DBD is backordered through most of 2023 while the Volair Mach 1 is almost immediately available as of mid-July '23
yes!!
That's a great point man. DBD is quite legendary. That's one of the paddles next up in my review, and along with the pulsar the only paddle that comes close to the forza in my testing. I think the forza edges it out just a bit in spin and sweet spot. I've been grabbing the forza more often over the DBD and the Pulsar. And you're right the fact that you can't get a DBD for a very long time in comparison to how quick you can get a brand new Forza and their fix for delamination is making the forza look pretty freaking sweet right now.
@stspickleball Hi, what about the Legacy? I get great spin, and I did not see it listed in your comparison. Did you test this one?
@@mlee9049 for me the legacy pro got 1873RPM of spin. So about 300 less rpm. Power is relative, legacy is more poppy in my testing. Slightly smaller sweet spot in comparison to the forza. It's a solid paddle but the legacy does have consistent delamination issues aswell.
@stspickleball I see. I may of missed it. Did you test the 14 or 16 mm Forza?
Great review!! How would you say it would compare to the Vatic V7 Pro.. I ask cos thats the only other thermoformed paddle Ive used and would appreciate your take on it. Thanks!!!
I would skip the Vatic no matter how it compares. Vatics are known to delaminate / core crush and I wouldn’t spend my hard earned money on their thermoformed paddles. The prisms are great though.
You still think this is a strong paddle choice in 2024? I know there have been other great paddles released since, looking to upgrade out of the base model paddles currently playing with the Selkirk Sport Latitude
Oh man coming from the paddle you’re using anything is going to be so fun and amazing for you. My personal favorite paddles right now are the Honolulu J2K, Spartus Apollo, and the Paddletek TKO-CX 12.7mm. If you just wanna get a paddle and not think about it too much I’d grab a J2K and just enjoy it!
Hey! This is an older test now. I have a CRBN 3X and am considering a 60 DBD, are you still thinking the Volair is better over all than either of these? Thanks!
I’d get a Honolulu J2K or a Spartus Apollo over either of those now days! Watch my reviews on them they are top tier and very current tech.
Super review and enthusiasm. Appreciate your passion and info. Geez, I want to buy ANOTHER dang paddle
Hahaha I have the same feeling every day 😂😂 I wanna buy every paddle I see and try them all! 😂 thanks for the kind words!
unfortunately found this video late but i love the review. I used your code as well when I bought the paddle! Still have to wait with the back order but I can not wait until my paddle arrives. Keep up the great video work and effort!
Thank you very much I appreciate that so much! The Forza is a freaking BEAST of a paddle :)
Wondering if you have tried the Mach 2 Forza (widebody, thermoformed) and wondered what your thoughts are. I am intrigued by the 14mm. I currently play with the Vatic Pro Prism Flash 16mm. Thanks and great reviews.
Yes and I honestly really love it. I think it's GREAT for drops and control and the 14mm has some solid pop to it. I think it out performs the Vatic Pro Prism Flash :). Go 14mm if you're ok with a smaller sweet spot but more pop and go 16mm if you want a larger sweet spot, more control, but a bit less pop! :) And of course you can use my code STSPICKLEBALL if you want!
@@stspickleball I have the 14mm Mach 1 Forza. Love that spin! How is the spin on Mach 2 Forza? It looks like the swing weight of the 16mm Forza 2 is almost the same as my 14mm Forza 1 I prefer a lower swing weight so I'm thinking of trying this 16mm Forza 2 now.
It’s amazing man it’s my go to paddle right now. That one and the Ruby!
The 16mm Mach 1 paddle grabs the ball like a tennis racquet with strings! I’ve tried the Joola Perseus and Selkirk Invicta, they don’t compare. I’m only able to hit my tennis topspin forehand over the net and in the court with this paddle! It’s a game changer! Also the box it comes in and extras it comes with, it just feels like I made a quality purchase. Glad I was able get that $500 spent on those other two paddles.
Love this!! :) Glad you're enjoying it I honestly agree with everything you said it's a really great paddle
So stoked to try out my new Mach 1 tomorrow as a lot of my servers and drives with the Selkirk Epic are now going long due to the paddle face as smooth as it now become
@stspickleball keep them reviews coming, and thanks for the science on your spin tests!
@@oilerlord6513 heck yeah!! That’s what it’s all about man. I appreciate the positive vibes and the comment! You’re gonna love it. No spray on grit garbage just high quality materials 😊
After watching Johnkew’s video on carbon fiber. Noticed that Volair doesn’t use a more “premium” Toray T700 carbon fiber. Would be curious to see the durability of the spin of this paddle compared to the Ronbus/DBD a few months down the road. Great review by the way, some really high quality stuff.
Thank you man! Yeah I asked them about that, the owner told me it’s another top brand of T700. I’ll definitely keep you posted on longevity and I’ll do a follow up video later on down the road to confirm everything I’m learning from Volair. Thanks for the positive feedback man! I definitely welcome positive comments and criticism. We’re all in this together for sure.
Any updates on the durability of the paddle still!? Seriously considering this one since it has power but does well with the control aspect
Durability is top tier. I would highly recommend the Mach 1 Forza :) I am still using the same one and have had zero issues and no loss in spin since I posted the review a while back!
Great video and super enthusiastic. I just ordered my 14mm Forza. I currently play with the crbn 13mm which is a great paddle. Do you think this paddle 14mm Forza has more power than the 16mm?
Yes the 14mm will have more power and a touch more spin, at the cost of some control and some feel as it will be a bit poppier. You're gonna love it man!!
10 out of 10 intro 🤣
Lol dude I had so much fun doing that. I love being creative and goofy. Took me back to making some stupid ass home movies with my friends growing up. 😂😂😂 people probably thought I looked like a weirdo talking to myself in the car with the police lights on behind me 😂
I’m a 4.5+ player and still playing with the original CRBN 16mm. Just wondering if this is too much power for me? I already create alot of power but don’t want to have too much where it flies on serves and stays too high on dinks. Think this paddle is for high level play as well? I unfortunately jumped on the Joola Perseus train due to the control and low swing weight to have alot of power but re-thinking due to this and the R3 Pulsar amongst others. Kinda overwhelmed with so many choices and not being able to demo them like I do with tennis rackets.
I don't think its unmanageable but it depends on what you prioritize. If you're looking for a softer more control oriented paddle I can steer you in the right direction. I love the Forza and think it can do incredibly well in tournament play. I use it personally. If you wanna tell me what you want a paddle to feel like I can help you out!
@@stspickleball So I bought the R3 Pulsar but still open to suggestions if that doesn't work out. I am a tennis player with 20+ years experience so I would love a paddle thats soft and with great feel but can put away balls from the baseline or just come back very fast to my opp. I tend to steer towards the elongated paddle vs the hybrid ones. I have a one handed backhand as well and use topspin. Thanks!
@@MosesDas Honestly for now I think you nailed it. I would say the Pulsar fits that bill perfectly! The Double Black Diamond would be one to consider there for sure!
Great review! I really enjoy paddle reviews that have accurate stats b/c most of the time I can’t demo a paddle before I order it these days. Stats at least help me weed out some possibilities.
Do you know swing weight of the Forza? I saw the number for the Mach 1 but didn’t know if Forza was similar.
Thank you so much man!! So I had another comment on swing weight and I don't have a swing weight machine yet, but I emailed Volair and they said they are going to get back to me on it very soon. I'll let you know when I find out!
@@stspickleball ok sounds good! I wish that were a standard thing companies put on there. I saw an ad for 1 paddle( not sure what it was now but not something I had heard of) but they had it listed with their specs which was surprising.
@@shanewilson9906 That means they are paying attention haha. And yes it should DEFINITELY be a standard thing. I'd say any company posting that is a good sign generally speaking haha.
If I had to guess, based on the shape it's gotta be something close to the R1 Pulsar 5.5 Inch.
Pulsar is a great paddle
Choice between Volair Forza Mach 1 and Ronbus Pulsar R3? Please anyone let me know. I love the spin of the Ronbus R1.16 but I know these 2 paddles have a ton more power and pop.
I'd go Volair Forza Mach 1 for sure :)
Thanks for all your content, effort and enthusiasm. I have found your reviews enjoyable and informative. Definitely intrigued by this new Volair. I’ve been playing with the Bread and Butter Filth for about a month and like it a lot. Great spin and control.
Do you know the swing weight of the new Volair?
Thanks again. Bob
I don't. I don't actually have a swing weight machine yet. I'll try and find out and I'll get back to you if/when I get an answer! BnB filth is a great paddle! Also just think it's a cool company with a really nice owner which is always nice.
According to Pickleball Pirates the Forza has a swing weight of 114. Also by way of feedback they say the spin rate is 1940 rpm. Still good but not off the charts like you came up with. Just sayin. Keep up the good work
@@robertbenjamin5230 Thanks man! I will say there can be some human variables to this process for sure. But this was by far the highest spinning paddle I have ever tested, and I did do more than my usual amount of serves with this one and took a larger average because the number was quite a bit higher than I had originally expected. I am all about transparency and welcome comments like this as I just want to share the info I'm finding with the community. I definitely appreciate the feedback and the positivity!
@@stspickleball no criticism intended. Just remarking how different reviewers might get slightly different results understandably. I guess paddle evaluations will be most reliable when looking at the numbers from within one source as you indicated. 👍👊
Have you done spin tests on the B & B Filth yet?
how would you compare this to the DBD in terms of durability and overall performance? thanks!
Durability is very relative, the Forza has higher spin and has a bit more power on drives, but a bit less pop for hand battles etc. it’s a very relative experience overall with just more spin, and a bit more rip on drives and serves 😊😊 both top tier paddles 100%
@@stspickleball Thanks! I ordered the new double black diamond infinity!
@@randywerner1339 nice man!! Yeah the edgeless is really a beautiful paddle.
Thoughts on lead tape on this paddle if so where?
I put 1 5 inch strip of lead tape at the 5 and 8 o'clock positions. I usually start the tape around 1 inch before the bottom curve of the paddle and have it come up the sides a bit! I think that feels perfect for me and has been my go to on basically all paddles!
@@stspickleball So basically from the neck of the paddle to like almost half the paddle?
Any insight on swing weight?
Ok he got back to me and said it's approx 117!
Do you use any lead tape on the Forza? If so, what’s your set up?
1 5” strip of 1 gram per inch lead tape starting 1 inch from the grip and coming up the throat and into the sides of the paddle on both sides. I put electrical tape down first, then lead tape, then electrical tape over it so I can take it off if I ever need to without damaging the edge guard 😊
Do you cover the whole paddle in electric tape or just the area of the lead tape?
@@braves2510 doesn’t matter either way it’s just aesthetics at that point! I used to cover the whole paddle but now I just cover the area with lead to save time 😂
Could you compare this to the Legacy Pro aside from the delam and loose edge guard issues?
Absolutely, so for me the Legacy pro is going to be a bit more poppy and it will have a harder time on resets I've found. Dinking and resets with the Forza feel really balanced and ideal for a thermoformed paddle. I would say the Legacy might be like a 9.6 as far as power goes but a bit more powerful but it feels uncontrollable almost. I think the Forza feels really balanced for all parts of the game and also has a higher spin than the Legacy. In my testing the Legacy came in at 1898 RPM of spin so around 250 less RPM than the Forza :) If you have any other questions please let me know!
But yeah the delam and loose edge guard issues are definitely a problem for the Legacy that you will not have to deal with if you get a Forza.
I rotate three forza's. By far my favorite paddle. Right behind it is the DBD. I have lead tape from about 1" above the the grip tape up to about 1" below the logo. 2 gram per inch tape. Takes the total weight to about 8.4oz.
Love this man. It’s just a really freaking solid paddle. 10/10 in my book glad we are on the same page and thank you for taking the time to comment and connect 😊
I have used Prokennex as well as lots of my friends due to their tennis elbow protection. How is the Forza and or Ronbus for vibration and shock absorption for tennis elbow. I have a Black Ace that is a nice paddle but would like a little more control and softness. Thanks
I think the forza and the R3 pulsar at some of the best paddles I've ever tested for tennis elbow. I think I'd give the edge to the forza overall they really nailed this one!
What’s the difference between this paddle and the Ronbus Pulsar R1?
Pulsar is mainly just going to be softer. This paddle has more power, and more spin, whereas the pulsar has that sort of cushiony face feel. Some people love that! They are really similar overall. I have a video on the R1 and the R3 pulsar up! If I had to choose between the two right now id take this Forza. It's insane. Also the fact that they have fixed the delaminating issues, and didn't release a thermoformed paddle until they had that solved unlike other companies really is a huge win in my eyes. But yeah this is gonna feel a little firmer off the face, is going to have more power, and more spin than the pulsar. If you have any other questions let me know!
@@GageMersereauGM I'd grab the forza. The pop feels extremely manageable. I have both pulsars and I do love them very much. The amount of spin and feel you get makes up for the added power in that you'll get more diving balls on drives so the power isn't sending it out of the court. Id say off center dinks and resets feel slightly less punishing with the forza aswell in comparison to the pulsar. Both incredible paddles though. They are my top two picks right now. I have a pulsar video up aswell if you wanna check it out! But I've been naturally grabbing the forza out of my bag with excitement recently and that's telling for sure from a mental perspective.
@@stspickleball I realize you can’t measure the swing weight yet, but would you say it’s similar to the R1 Pulsar? Or close to the R3 if you had to guess? Also, would you say the pop is similar to the R1 Pulsar? I realize the Forza is not as soft as the R3, but any help regarding the R1 Pulsar/Forza comparison is helpful. Thank you
@@braddaddis371 so I just picked them both up and did some hand speed tests on them just personally and I would say the forza feels more balanced for hand speed than either of the pulsars. Maybe most similar to the R3 but still maybe a touch more balanced for hand speed.
@@stspickleball thank you so much!!! One last question. If you have the CRBN 1X, would you say the stiffness off the face is similar, stiffer or softer? Thanks! Huge help
Will the technology used for spin be inclined to wear down very rapidly. Thanks
No this is a very high quality paddle made for longevity :)
how would you compare the Volair Mach 1 Forza to the Legacy Pro? Which actually has the most power in your opinion Thanks
I think they are very similar in power to be honest. I doubt you'd notice a difference. I'd say the forza has better feel, better sweet spot, a lot more spin, and the legacy pro has known delamination and manufacturing issues (people delaminating it within a week or two of purchase) whereas the Forza is insanely durable and will last a very very long time ☺️
Awesome video, love the passion!! Curious how you think this compares to a regular Mach 1? Is it worth upgrading? Is there a place for both or is Forza the clear best choice?
I'd say the original Mach 1 is softer and more feel oriented. The Forza has more spin and quite a lot more power! So it kind of comes down to what you value in your game!!
Used your spreadsheet and reviews to decide on the Mach 2 Forza. Thanks for the discount code!
Awesome! Yeah the spin on that paddle is absolutely insanity lol
Another great video man! Paddle looks sick!!
Thanks man that means a lot! Been putting a lot of time and passion into this. I'm glad they help!
great video i was all set with getting a ronbus pulsar R3, got the dollar reservation code. but after this review I am thinking of getting the volair forza especially since there is no wait time for this one.
No wait time yet! Yeah I agree with that. They are definitely some of the top paddles available along with the double black diamond but like you said there's no wait for the forza and it does get the most spin I've tested. You're gonna love this paddle.
No wait time right now for R3 either. ordered mine day before yesterday coming today. This will be my second R3. It’s the only thermoformed elongated paddle that I can control but still have enough pop to attack effectively. The new Volair Forza sounds like a great paddle but I can tell by STS description is too fast for my game and will pop up resets and dinks much easier than the R3. I’ve tried all the latest greatest thermoformed paddles and the R3 is the most controllable with more sweet spot and enough functional power to give me confidence on the court.
@@godgunsandgoldens love this! The R3 pulsar is easily one of the best paddles out right now. They both definitely have their pros and their cons. I appreciate the feedback man! How long did your first R3 last and why did you feel you needed a new one out of curiosity?
Same , the amount of time companies are taking is not helping, there will always be a new hot paddle to fill the void.
I really enjoyed your review! How is this paddle as far as vibration dampening, swing weight and quickness at the NVZ? I have occasional elbow pain brought on by playing with a certain paddle that felt like a board. I could really benefit from the power and spin. Thanks!
It's really solid tbh! It is definitely vibration dampening and feels really good at the NVZ! I am awaiting swing weight details right now as I don't have a swing weight machine yet but I will definitely get back to you with that soon! It feels really balanced to me :)
Great videos you're producing, they're all very helpful. I can't believe my old Gearbox GX5 is ancient and since the face is separating it's time to get a more advanced paddle. I've been looking at the DBD, the R1Pulsar and now this Volair Forza and all have caught my eye with a nice balance of moderate swing weight, decent power, and good control, now decisions decisions decisions.
And now you have the new Gearbox paddles to choose from too! If you wanna discuss anything I'm here to chat :) I love talking paddles. Thanks for the comment!
Love the review! Loving the crbn 1x right now. How would you compare coming from the 1x? Subscribed!
Very similar! I am a big CRBN fan boy. Forza is just going to have more spin and be just slightly softer off the face! If you want more details or have any other questions please let me know!
14 or 16?
I am buying the 16mm as I am very new at pickle ball.
Yeah 16mm is definitely where it's at. I was experimenting with the 14mm recently and there is a bit more spin, but a tighter sweet spot. I prefer 16mm for sure.
Just ordered!! I currently have a r1.16 and a warrior paddle.. opposite ends to me lol. Can’t wait to see what this is like
You're gonna love it! 10/10 paddle.
Just received my Mach 1 14mm...Looks great! I'm coming from a Selkirk Epic Power Air that I love, but after only around 100 hours of use the surface grit is now completely gone and totally smooth. I simply could not spin the ball anything close to when it was new.
Looking forward to bringing back cheap points on topspin serves & slices
Heck yeah!! You gotta have the grit. Yeah the spray on stuff wears off so fast is actually silly. You’re gonna love this paddle!
@@stspickleball Back in my tennis days, I'd just restring. It's kind of crazy that you can't (legally) restore the surface of a high-end Selkirk, or that it wore out in less than 100 hours
A lot of people serve and drive the ball hard...it's unacceptable the only (current) option is buying a new paddle
I hope I can get at least a year out of this paddle
bro shld i get this or crbn brand pls help thanks which will last me longer ?
Honestly both are amazing paddles. And both will last an incredible amount of time. What are you looking for mainly from a paddle? Spin? Control? Power?
Which paddle feels more plush, the Forza or DBD?
Forza is more plush DBD has a bit more pop and feels a touch firmer off the face 😊
Did you test the 14 mm or 16 mm in your review?
16mm!
Do you recommend the 14mm or the 16mm volair Mach 1 forza?
16mm all the way for me! I love the more plush feel and it's a bit more forgiving ☺️
Has your opinion changed at all since the release of this paddle. I am highly considering this paddle. I am waiting to see what B&B Torro is going to bring to the table.
Fair enough! A lot of new paddles on the horizon. Ultimately no my opinion hasn't changed. I still love this paddle. I'd say top current contenders are the new Gearbox paddles coming out on the 16th. Been playing with those for a while now and they are pretty great. ☺️ but overall the Forza is top tier through and through.
@@stspickleball cause I am also waiting to see what you will have to say about the B&B Torro.
Awesome review! Any plans to do one on the new Proline Energy S?
Yes I’ve been testing it recently! Look for it soon 😊 testing a ton of paddles right now kinda crazy haha
Awesome video! I think I’m about to order one since my Joola Hyperion cracked after only about 5 months of use. Been watching different paddle review videos to research the new thermoformed technology out there, and this video sold me on the Forza!
It’s such a solid paddle and with the innovation they’ve been working on for durability it’s going to last a lot longer than the Hyperion! I hope you love it man!
Would you consider this paddle arm friendly as far as swing weight and vibration dampening? Is it chicken as the NVZ?
Quick at NVZ, cot chicken!! Great review, by the way. Really enjoyed it!
Hahaha chicken! Made me laugh. Typos are the best. I answered your recent question on your other comment if you have any other questions please let me know I am here to help! :) Lastly, if you need added power this is definitely the paddle for you it feels very powerful and plush.
Will you be doing the 14mm version of the Volair Forza?
Maybe in the future! I can imagine would have a bit more pop and will be great for singles. But for real this 16mm version is a freaking dream. I haven't tried a paddle this nice ever.
@@BuddyPickleball the forza has too much power for you? Interesting! Maybe break it on a it and loosen up the face a touch. I feel like it does have some wicked power though!
I just ordered one of these with your code too figure I would try out two lol
Fair enough! I am curious which one you like more!! :)
What’s the minimum camera specs you need to measure rpm?
120fps 😊
Do you know the swing weight?
According to my resources it's 117!
Ordered the Forza today. Hope It's a great paddle for me.
You're going to love it! It's freaking awesome man :)
Just ordered mine, will be coming from the Perseus. How would you compare the Volair to the R1 Pulsar?
Prob about identical. R1 Pulsar and DBD my 2 fav paddles
Hey man! R1 pulsar is going to be a little softer off the face and it won't have quite as much power. R1 pulsar is also going to have around 150 less rpm of spin. I love Ronbus paddles they are some of my favorites but the forza is a bit more powerful and has more spin. ☺️ if you have any further questions please let me know!
@@stspickleball So slightly bit stiffer and abit more juice basically right? Sounds like a paddle that's right up my alley.
Which one did u test? The 16mm or 14mm?
16mm :)
what kinda lead tape set up would you recommend for this paddle? Mine just came today!
My favorite setup right now is a 5 inch strip of lead tape on the 8 and 4 oclock positions. I usually start mine about 2.5 inches from the grip :) And then start adjusting and find what works for you! I like a little added weight to help with lag on drives and I keep my weight low so I can keep fast hand speed at the net. If you have any other questions let me know!
I bet you're freaking excited

3 months I believe, but the guys at Volair are awesome. They really care about the customer experience so you're in good hands for sure. Good people.
Do you feel like the volair forza was too luanchy?
I don't personally I feel like it's pretty well controlled in comparison to some paddles. Do you have one or are you thinking of getting one?
@@stspickleball I have one. I thought about adding lead to the handle / at the but cap to see if it helps control the power
How does this compare to the Ronbus R1 pulsar?
Pulsar is mainly just going to be softer. This paddle has more power, and more spin, whereas the pulsar has that sort of cushiony face feel, although not as soft as a gen 1 raw carbon fiber paddle of course as the pulsar is thermoformed. Some people love that! They are really similar overall. I have a video on the R1 and the R3 pulsar up! If I had to choose between the two right now id take this Forza. It's insane. @@stspickleball Isn't the R1 Pulsar a fiberglass paddle? Is it really that soft?
@@douglasmurdoch7247 It is not a fiberglass paddle. You are thinking of the 6.0 Black Diamond, their power paddle. To touch on softness. The Pulsar is the softest thermoformed paddle I have tested yes. Not as soft as gen 1 raw carbon fiber paddles but as far as thermoformed paddles it is very soft. Some people may love that! For me right now the Forza is where it's at.
@@stspickleball ah thank you.
@@douglasmurdoch7247 Of course!
I just watched a review that suggests that the Volair Forza might just be the same paddle as the Ronbus R1.16 at about $60 less $$$ - I am curious on your thoughts about this?
ua-cam.com/video/pujwtlQedWU/v-deo.html
So that video is referring to the original Mach 1. The Forza is their brand new Thermoformed paddle. Completely different! :)
Just thought I'd pass along that the updated 14mm swing weight is 111 according to Volair. I played well & enjoyed the 16mm, but wanted it a bit faster so I have a 14mm arriving this weekend. I will give my thoughts after using a few times. The customer service from Volair has been excellent.
Awesome man! Let me know your thoughts! I've been playing so well with mine!
Any updates on the comparison between the 14mm & 16mm? I am considering both and having a hard time deciding which one to go with.
@@rodawg2172 Hey man! So the 14mm will be firmer off the face and have a bit more power and a touch more spin. The 16mm will be much more plush and traditional. I personally prefer the 16mm. I'm not a fan of many paddles thinner than that as I just love the control and the plush feel of the 16mm paddles. I also feel they have a better sweet spot.

Hahaha right! You won't be disappointed. It's an amazing paddle.
Great info buddy! I’m more interested in the rpm spin and control for my game. I use the Rogue2 extended carbon right now. I love the spin but I want more 😂 Do you think this paddle will have more spin than my Rogue2?
Sorry just noticed the paddle I’m looking at is the Mach 1 not the Forza Mach 1. Not sure if you know the spin rpm for that one :(
@@kingali7793 Mach 1 is going to be around 1980rpm ☺️ and honestly yes I think both of these paddles will have quite a bit more spin than the rogue2!
Thank you! I am curious on the rpm the Rogue2 will have. Do you think the Forza will have way more rpms that it will be noticeable than the Mach 1?
@@kingali7793 It's fairly noticable but not a difference thats going to make or break your game. If you really want something softer and specifically more control oriented you can go with the mach 1, or even the Ballr pro or R1.16. I would get the Forza if you want more power and more spin, and any of those listed above if you really want a softer paddle.
Thanks for the advice 🙏
I absolutely love this paddle. I loved my Legacy Pro(to hard to wield at the kitchen) Ordered a Vatic 7, good paddle but after playing with a thermoform, felt the swing weight to much... not good for kitchen fights. The Forza is perfect for me at the kitchen. I lose a little power from the baseline, however my returns are low and dip more quickly crossing the net. Doesn't require the learning curve it took me with my Legacy Pro(which I love, just too powerful for me at the kitchen)
You nailed it man. This is exactly why this paddle is a top top pick right now. Doesn't get much better. I completely agree with everything you just said and the comparisons.
Ordered. Great vid.
Thank you so much man I really appreciate that! You're gonna love it.
great video! I have a quick question, how would you compare this to the CRBN 1, if you ever got the chance to use it,
As far as the CRBN 1x goes it's one of my other favorite paddles currently. It has about 160 less rpm of spin and to me feels just SLIGHTLY firmer off the face. Power feels the same to me basically they both pack a punch. So just the spin really is the big difference :)
And is this comparing to the original CRBN1, not the Power X series? I currently use CRBN1 14mm (not the power X), so I’m wondering how the control compares to the Forza?
@@wq177 Ahhh sorry I guess I just kinda figured you were talking about the 1x as it's so freaking popular in comparison. Ok! So the 1 is going to be more control oriented than the forza. The Forza is going to have more spin, but it's going to be a bit firmer off the face. I think the pop is fairly relative which is nice though so resets and dinking will feel maybe a touch firmer just slightly, but the spin and the power will be more amplified with the forza!
@@wq177 Ohhhh I just figured you were talking about the 1x since its so popular haha sorry. Yeah so the Forza is going to be less soft so a bit firmer with a solid amount more spin and quite alot more power!!
@@stspickleball thank you! Great video
How do you test the rpm's?
So I have a high frame rate camera. I do 10 serves and bring the footage into my video editing software and slow it down and then count how many frames it takes to make 1 full revolution. I plug that number into a software that converts frames per revolution to RPM and boom! We have as accurate of an RPM result as we can get right now :)
@@stspickleball Sweet!
@@robedwards6926 I am just so freaking into all the paddles and tech available these days man it's so freaking fun!!
This paddle seem really good.
Yeah it's honestly the best paddle that's been released in my opinion. Just really hits on everything one would want.
Quality & entertaining review. Up there with Chris Olsen & Pickleball Will. 👏
Are yoy going to have chart of paddles reviewed anywhere?
Damn thank you that's a massive compliment man. Yes I'm going to have a chart for sure! Going to start working on that very soon! Stay tuned.
Is this paddle on Amazon? I see a Volair Mach 1 but not with Forza.
It is not. I would definitely buy directly from Volair. They have incredible customer service. I don't personally trust Amazon paddles.
