This video is such a gift to me. I am getting my vita mix tomorrow. My main purpose is for soup. I am disabled and have a hard time cooking. So this is a godsend. Fresh soup without standing on my legs so long. I can’t wait to see more of your videos. You do an excellent job by the way. And I was looking for a broccoli because I love broccoli so much.
Thanks for your kind words Joni. It's definitely a marvellous blender and makes healthier eating a lot easier. Let us know how you go and happy blending!
Your post caught my attention as I have just purchased the Vitamix E310 but yet to of made soup. A favourite with broccoli seems to be with stilton. I’m not partial to either but when made in a soup recipe, it can taste a whole lot better. I wonder how you got on with your recipe? Please let me know.
❄️I’m staying warm through this winter with many different homemade soups. This looks like a delicious soup you made! I have been really into soups lately and I’m always looking for different recipes and cooking tips. I’m happy to find your channel. I also make cooking videos. I love to learn from other talented creators like you! Thank you for sharing your talents with us!
Looks yummy!! I've been using my vitamix for smoothies, frapps and vegan nice cream but forgot how great it is for soups! I'll definitely be trying this one!
I love the recipe and will try that now. Just out of curiosity though, regarding the "no label" statement...where did you get the vegan cheese with no label on it? Did you grow that yourself?
When you opened the top and I saw legit steam come out I was dumbfounded. I knew it’ll be warm. But not Steamy Hot. That’s so cool. Also they may be a simple question but since I don’t usually cook with vegetables or when I do I usually boil them or pan fry them. I need clarification... how do you steam vegetables?
Would you be willing to give me a list of vegetables that have to be steamed before added. I think the broccoli most likely was bitter because of such friction. I was so appreciate the help.
Hi Joni! We have found (due to their strong taste or starch content) that it's best to steam foods like cauliflower, onion, garlic, potato and broccoli. Some people can stomach them without steaming first but a lot like to gently blanch it before hand. Bear in mind that this does ruin the enzyme content. Happy Blending!
This looks delicious! We love broccoli (eat it 3-4 times with dinner each week) but it gets old and we're huge fans of a good broccoli cheese soup. We're not vegans, so we're going to use real chicken stock...what would you recommend we use other than vegan cheese? Gonna try it this week. Cheers!
Definitely give it a go! You could use any normal cheese that you like. Cheddar is traditionally used in a non-vegan Broccoli and cheese soup! Let me know how you go!
@@RawBlendAustralia I finally got around to making it this past weekend, but used real cheese and chicken stock. The soup was good, however it came across as tasting like dill pickle. I LOVE dill and put it in many dishes like potatoes, carrots, roasted chicken, etc. and I assumed that I added too much dill. I made it again the following day and only added a very small amount of dill. Still, the dill overpowered the taste of the soup. Today I made it with NO dill and it tasted fantastic. For whatever reason broccoli soup amplifies the taste of the dill tenfold - at least to my taste. Moreover, I added a small around broccoli, cashews and pumpkin seeds to give it texture and add to the deliciousness. Great stuff, and a favorite - no doubt.
Interesting about the Dill! It certainly is a strong herb and especially because you aren't cooking it as such, the flavours are a lot stronger. Glad you like it mate and thanks for the update! Happy blending!
Yes, I used regular cheddar and real chicken stock. Fantastic. Also, while I love the taste of dill (e.g., potatoes, carrots, roasted chicken, etc.) it get amplified tenfold in broccoli soup to where it tasted like dill pickle. So I omit dill from this one. Also, I blend broccoli, cashews and pumpkins seeds at low speed for a few seconds to give it some texture - even better. Cheers!

You can usually get steamer inserts for your pots and pans that you use on the stove top. That's generally the best way! Happy blending!
Absolutely delicious!
So glad you enjoy it :) Happy blending!
Will prolong making soup in the blender wears off the container as it is using friction to crest heat?
No it's designed for making hot soups. Thanks for watching :)

Hi Tommy, This is great! Could I use a handful of grated regular cheese instead of the one you used? \o/
Hi Roxanne :) You can use whatever cheese you desire! Happy blending!
