      31. Unfortunately too young to remember watching MJ before the Wizards. But I watched Kobe win all 3 championships with Shaq and both championships with Pau. Kobe is easily the best I've ever watched. And when I watched him win with Shaq I never once though Kobe was a "sidekick". I did think they were the best duo ever though. I remember being sad when they broke up.

@@JordanisOverrated2 funny you wanna just include the finals numbers and include regular season numbers when he was literally 17 lmao. I bet you won’t compare their regular season numbers from 01-04 or there ENTIRE playoff numbers from 01-04. If you wanna say Kobe was a sidekick from 96-01 sure he was literally 17-20 years old playing with a prime Shaq lmao. But 01-04 they were equal so your numbers are crap without context

    #GOAT.

  • @Firefly-trike
    @Firefly-trike 3 роки тому +9

The reason why most people didn't like Kobe (players, even coaches and fans) was because he wasn't like most people.
Kobe wanted to be the absolute best...Period!
And to be #1 GOAT, you will offend the majority of people through that process.
People just want to fit in, and want others to do the same.
When you have a guy like Kobe, who does not want to be average or good or even one of the best. That rubs others the wrong way. Why?...because it brings conviction to themselves. It shows them where they are willing to compromise and settle.
Phil Jackson, even for a period of time, didn't like Kobe. Said he was uncoachable.
That showed me that even Phil felt intimidated by Kobe's unstoppable drive to be the absolute best.
    There's only one #1.
And like the Ol saying goes...It's lonely at the top.
And...on top of that, Kobe was of the ilk, that he actually liked being alone most of his time, to hone his craft.
He didn't come in to the league to just exist, or be a sidekick to Shaq or Phil or anyone. He wanted full control of his career. He knew he wanted this before he even entered the league.
I admire Kobe for his absolute tenacity to strive for and achieve his goals. And in order to achieve them, he was willing to be forsaken by everyone else. He was going to make his dream happen, and if others were willing to go along with him, fine; but...Kobe wasn't letting off the pedal if you weren't absolutely 1000% percent committed.
Most people are not that obsessive about their life.
That's what made Kobe so unique and special.

At least not a side kick in 01 and 02 but in 2000 he definitely was. He didn't even average 20 ppg. And as far as taken a backseat goes shaq had to because he saw the switch in the 2000s that was from a low post game like the 90s to a guard oriented game the way it is now.

This was the moment that Kobe Bryant knew that he was going to do whatever it takes for the Los Angeles Lakers to win a championship 🏆🏆 without Shaq which he did Kobe Bryant ain't no side kick Kobe Bryant was Batman and Shaq O'Neal was Robin those two in LA was a beast at it's finest you can't tell me this was not true may Kobe Bryant always rest in peace✌️🕊️ until we meet again and Merry Christmas to you all have a great Christmas today plus keep on staying safe everyone god bless you all peace.

+Nico De Guzman its not necessarily who carried the team, its also about what piece was added that put the team over the hump. Remember Wade didn't win before Shaq got there. The heat never made it past the conference finals until Shaq got there.

Has 1 more ring than Shaq. Shaq had poor free throw shooting so Phil was unable to play him in the 4th quarter. Kobe was the finisher Shaq desperately needed just like how he needed Wade for the ideal same reason. Who needed who more?
