    Kobe Bryant was asking Michael Jordan for tips on how to improve in the middle of their game against each other, which shows exactly the amount of respect he had and still has for Jordan and the fact that Jordan actually gave him tips showed what kind of a player he is, and what type of greatness he was passing on to the younger generation of players who grew up watching and idolizing him. Two of the greatest to have ever played, alongside Magic, and I'm grateful for what they have given to this sport.

      By the end of MJ's run on the Wizards you know not only was seeing what Kobe was doing but hearing from Phil about what Kobe was doing behind the scenes. Kobe had two avenues to pick up what would MJ be doing at this point.
      When MJ was a Bull and Kobe was just entering the league he was still just a kid, as talented as any kid as your gonna see but a kid. It's really cool the relationship develope to what is was. MJ knew Kobe was on his way, and no one better to pass this on too. Just as Magic and Bird did to him. It's easy to respect someone who wants what you got and willing to work to get it. It was about Rings money will come. Not many guys are like that.

      Humble isnt the word id use to describe michael. He was cool because he respected kobe for the unique talent he was. Its just that simple. He probably wouldve ignored any other rookie (or sophomore). Not worth his time. Jordsn isnt exactly "humble" to fans either. Michael may be goat but hes also known to be a major A-hole too.
      Its ironic how kobe was labeled a jerk, aloof while Mike's praised for humility when the truth was really the opposite off the court.

    • @gregcunningham4221
      @gregcunningham4221 4 роки тому +34

      4eightyvolt you're wrong. Plain and simple.
      Michael does have that cocky attitude but he always gave credit to the greats before him like Magic and even David Thompson before Magic. Countless stories about how he's worked with younger players, specifically spending hours with his young players in Charlotte.
      Michael also gives A TON back financially to people less fortunate and just recently bank rolled new hospitals in the Charlotte area.
      Just because he doesnt take every picture with fans or sign every autograph that doesnt make him an A-hole.
      Your comment couldn't be further from the truth...

      @Flip Arrachi I agree with that. But I think MJ knew he would leave soon and he saw something in Kobe that I think reminded him of himself. Hence the passing of the torch, even if it wasn't immediately.

    Kobe earned MJ's respect because Kobe started with respect. MJ took him under his wing and nurtured him. Kobe didn't act stupid like Stackhouse who talked smack to the media which then gave Jordan the ammunition to destroy him and mentally scar him for the rest of his career as a vastly inferior player. Instead he saw Kobe as the guy with the right mindset and skillset to be a successor and gave him the knowledge he had attained to succeed. Jordan is the Master and Kobe is his best ever student.

      Prayers and fond memories are what we have to remember Kobe and Gianna and all the Families. We want to offer our prayers and condolences to you and your family. God gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Isaiah 40:29. May God comfort you among the other mourners. Love you all!

    It was awesome to see Kobe Bryant in the NBA BEING the best basketball 🏀 player I have ever seen since Michael Jordan, I can't believe he's gone and his daughter gig.

      What has Westbrook done? What is he, late twenties? No rings. All I've heard is he fierce. Before anyone comes at me.. I don't really follow the NBA, so I genuinely was asking what he has done and then I just made up stuff I thought seemed true lol

      Westbrook is a stat padder much like Carmello...great players on paper but done nothing. MJ started wining when he started trusting his teammates, Kobe got his early rings playing point guard for Shaq. If you look at MJ's 69 points vs Cavs, it didn't seemed like he was gonna get it because he only got the ball like 30% of the time. being responsible for 81 points out of 115, 69 points and 6 assist, and not get the ball as often. That shows a great example of how to win without stat padding.

    Kobe as a 17 year old had the mindset of a 5X champ before even knowing what he was going to become. GOAT. Kobe is Los Angeles.

      therealist811 LOL. That's a joke. Kyrie was serious. Everyone has different mannerisms. That's like some fool thinking Pacquiao is scared of em cause Pac man doesn't get all animated. Then fight night Pac man whips they azz. You need to watch the entirety of that video. Kyrie and Kobe went on exchanging words. And come game time Kyrie got Kobe several times in the game.
