Great video
Thanks ever so much
Great!! Thanx!!
Thanks ever so much Rick!
This is a cool video- a mashup of older ones with a central focus. Also very timely as I’ve been wanting to grow bass recording/ mixing skills! Thanks for all you do, Warren.
Thanks ever so much! Glad to be able to help
Such a good video
Marvellous video
Such a fantastic video
Thanks ever so much@@spitfiremusic3997
Really great video. Bass is so important that if you get the recording right then your off to the races as opposed to being on the back foot. Much appreciated.
Very well said Joey!
Absolutely@@Producelikeapro
I agree Joey

Thanks for sharing.Good info and techniques.
Thanks ever so much
Thanks for this great video
You're very welcome
Using a pick always adds consistency. [insert bass player joke]
Haha Bass player joke? What could you mean? Wait I was a bassplayer for a while!
@@Producelikeapro 😆
We all have to start somewhere..
Seriously though, I found a pick works best when recording bass for 3 reasons:
*Consistency
*Fidelity/Attack
*It sounds more like a guitar (the best instrument).
Haha thanks for the breakdown!@@TheLastMoomin Especially the last point! Haha
Thanks ever so much!
Fantastic video
Thanks ever so much!
Vocalist sounds like Kings of Leon. That's a good thing.
Glad it's a good thing!
Nothing wrong with some Kings Of Leon!
It certainly is@@Producelikeapro

Would a dynamic mic be a good option to record the bass amp or stick with condensor? If so, what would be a decent dynamic mic to use?
People love RE20’s for that
What's the Song at 9:37... that's kind of the style i like. This Video helped me a lot since my bass sounds really weak when i record it.
What bass on the first track? Sounds Rickenbacker-ish. I would like to have heard more of that track and how it fitted in the mix.
Hmm it might be!
Believe it or not I actually use reverb on the bass
Geoff Emerick used to put reverb on Paul McCartney's bass!
Reverb on bass can be amazing
Great for Motown, Stax and Atlantic bass recordings
Agreed 100%@@plapclips6799

Meanwhile is take 352 in
their session :)
IMHO dude needs to cut the ghost notes and play for the song........keep it simple!
We all hear things differently!
These videos are pretty useless to me. Unless I have the tons of equipment that you find in the video, I have to find my own way.
There's lot's of inexpensive gear here too!
One of the guys has a Yamaha Console he bought for $500!
There are great amp similators and Cabinet IRs you can use pretty inexpensively and create similar tones. It's more about the techniques and the mindset than about the gear!
I've also done a lot of videos recording bass using a $300 or less interface
The principles in these clips are pretty universal. You don’t need hardware. With stock plugins and these techniques and signal chains, you can get great sounds. 😊
Great video
Thanks ever so much
