    Three ways:
    1. Don't get married. 😉
    2. Keep the State out of the marriage. COMPLETELY.
    3. Ironclad, lawyer-created prenup.
    4. Before tying the knot, choose wisely. That's a long discussion.

Typical scenario…I was stupid too believe her when she said 1. I’ll never leave you.
    2. If I ever leave you, I won’t take anything from you.
Guess what…going through divorce and she’s suing for half my stuff that I owned before she was in the picture. Don’t get married or live with with a woman and never believe a word she says

My number one rule with women is I never trust them. Once I realized women should be viewed only as a temporary thing, it helped me immensely. Actually a woman I thought was going to be with me for a long all of a sudden decided to leave this week. Did it bother me? Not really because I knew she was going to leave eventually anyway, just not this fast.

I have a female family member who married into a wealthy family. she came to find that all her husbands assets existed in his families trust. The result of this had her fall into his frame so that she could keep enjoying his families winter holiday chalet, summer holiday property over looking the sea, a motored yacht and even a airplane. Divorce and that all ends and she can only go half in the house she bought with her husband as he owns nothing else with her.

@@elsa_nyc Respect. i have known my family member to be controlling/dominating and i thought she would destroy any man and then the marriage. Her husband is not weak or strong just plain. But the trust and her dominant father in law makes her submissive and so family focused rather than about herself. I am amazed at how well it works on her. Those trust goodies she enjoys everyday are just to sweet to loose with feminist antics.

My misses says she is happy to sign a prenup and pay for her own lawyer. She understands I have way more to loose. She also says if we did have a kids and separate she would never weaponise them to extract money from me and always give me access to them. I'm an "in your face" kind of guy. So when I go talk to an attorney, I'll take the woman with me to let her hear how it works.
I know that sounds crazy, but give me a minute....
When she tries to bring up marriage and all that stuff, I can say:
Look, you were there when we talked to an attorney about how family law works here. So don't try and tell me that you don't know why I don't want to do it.
After that, if she wants to leave, she can leave.

I've been divorced for 12 years. Focused on the kids. They're amazing. They're grown now and doing great. I have the best divorce ever. When you get divorced, you're not out of the relationship y'all. It just changes. It remains about raising your kids well. Marriage isn't about happiness or wealth preservation. It's not about you at all. Being divorced is just a piece of paper, just like getting married. It doesn't mean anything. Just raise your kids well, that's literally the only point. I hope my kids all have happy divorces also. The entire marriage construct is ridiculous, that's why it always falls apart. If you're not with a woman to raise kids, every relationship is disposable. Once you have them, you're linked with that woman for life, regardless of how you designate the relationship legally.

It's become too disposable and instead of living up to vows, people leave. Men fall for the younger women, and get taken too, ...I saw that first hand with my 5 times married neighbor. He finally married someone his age, and it worked. ...anyway, I have little desire to try to find someone, because Marriage to me is like my parents' marriage was, thy stayed together through bad times and good times...and I don't see that in society today.
