Thank you for your clear instructions and close-up demonstration.
I took a class at an art center a year or so ago and really enjoyed the pencils. The same instructor is doing another class in January, so I signed up. I like it because I can take it with me to my office and fiddle with it between clients. There is zero mess. I take water brush pens so I don't need jars of water.
I use the Faber-Castell Albrecht Durer pencils and love them. In the US, they are very reasonable(in my opinion). I started with the set of 60, then added a few at a time. There are 120 colors.
Michelle, thank you again, and Happy Holidays.

Really helpful video. Thanks Michele. I would love to see a mixed media background. I often wonder what types of media work together, or don't as they case may be and have not go round to experimenting a great deal with that yet. Thank you!💕

This watercolor pencil tutorial is great. Just enough detail and demonstration. I have recently bought some gouache paints and some metallic watercolor paints as well as some black watercolor paper but all I've done is some swatches. I would love to see what you would do with those matrrials

I would so dearly love to see how to add a background without compromising the picture or losing any edges! I know how to do so with graphite or even with colored pencils, but not at all how to do so with wet media...unless maybe some sort of markers or fine ink pens, but they don't have the softness which would go with a watercolor painting and I'm unbcertain how to find a pleasing contrast or if a contrast would actually be pleasing.

No problem, I just have to decide what sort of background would look nice! Greens I guess...

Another excellent demo of how to get the best out of the medium. I don’t know if you ever do multimedia with watercolour and colour pencils. I’ve had some good results with that (once you showed me how to use the watercolour variety properly!). I wouldn’t mind your professional advice on working that way. I normally use the colour matched sets of Faber Castell Polychromos and Albrecht Durer, although I believe Museum Acquarelle and Luminance work together the same way. Maybe one for the new year. Have a good Christmas!

Honestly Michele, I’d watch any content you’d like to put up. I enjoy all of it. My preference is always for watercolour subjects but I’m looking forward to watching other people’s choices. Have a great Christmas.

Thank you for helpful techniques ive really enjoyed your videos ive been watching for over four years you've been a lifeline of art knowledge..i would enjoy you teaching about different medians, anything you teach i always watch and gi back to watch over the years for refreshing techniques, I think it is extremely grateful for our world that we have art teachers like you and our world would be more gray if you and other artist never taught or teach others about art forms, thank you again for making a big difference for artists..i would like to learn how to use different palette knifes and strokes you can use for painting and whyvartist chose to use these another idea would be a video about gouache what it is and how it flows dries and such, and any gouache knowledge for beginners such as myself would be helpful,, i was wondering if you could do a future video of your paint and sets youve made over the years if you have any thoughts if youd do different new colors within those sets and what you would add then and maybe a swatch video of them, do you think you could ever do a big dot card of all your paint colors.? Thank you again for all your videos..💙🎨✍🇺🇲🇨🇦💙

I find myself preferring paint versus pencils. I did a poinsettia, starting with pencils. It was slow going but I made good progress. However, I switched to paints just to compare. It looked a little weird but it was interesting that each process had effects I liked and some not so much. Your pointers are always spot on and help me work through my problem techniques. Thanks again!

Thank you! This demonstration was extremely helpful. I have only recently begun exploring adding watercolor pencils to watercolor. I would welcome other similar tutorials including mixed media. I have already viewed some of your other videos and gained great tips. Again, thanks!

Thank you so much Michele for another fabulous video!! I must have at least 25 plus sets of Watercolour Pencils and have just started using them more than I have in the past...I find them very nice to use when doing animal portraits...I love the Museum Aquarell Pencils but find the Albrecht Duer a bit easier to use on Cold Pressed paper...Again thank you! Wishing you a Happy Christmas and a blessed New Year...Rus from Bucks County Pennsylvania ❤️❤️❤️

Excellent, Michele! I love how you encourage us really to look at what we are seeing. I am currently following an online drawing course and I believe that further down the line we will be tackling watercolour pencils. I have very little experience with these, and am keen to try your tutorial.
