It still blows my mind how well they did with this. They totally faked us out when the base game didn't have a lot of the stuff people expected, but then they were like "SIKE" and put all that stuff in the DLC. When it's all said and done and you can look back and see how much they've been playing the long game and planning this stuff out for years, it's even more impressive because you can see those threads going back a lot further than at least I expected. You can tell how much love they put into these games and how dedicated they are to making these connections between games feel meaningful to us fans.
I agree 100%. DLC was just much more enjoyable for me and I am mega upset that it doesnt have new game plus+ so I can replay the story on hard mode without having to unlock all the bloody skill trees for the characters from scratch. Huge missed opportunity on their end sadly but I guess they didnt ship it as a full game with a disc like torna so it was treated as an extention of the main game
It's a short and sweet DLC and Can be completed in a few sessions. They had time to adjust systems with this DLC, and I like that alot. Think back to torna vs xbc2 base game. Mono had more time to improve things and more team members to do that with, as they were flexing on several projects at the time. And just like torna the same happend for Future redeemed. Monoliftsoft was able to pool resources for the DLC as they had wrapped the main game and were also able to get team members back from zelda teams and other projects. I do like the tweeked logs and radar systems, and the expanded traversal compared to the base game. And Gigachad Rex and Shulk! Which you can also unlock in the base game by beating the new challanges in the land of challanges.
@Anime Root I also very much preferred Torna to Xenoblade 2 in terms of gameplay. The combat alone was so much more refined, enjoyable, and just easier to understand considering there were actually proper explanations for mechanics.
@AzureRoxe When I first finished Xenoblade 3, I was a little disappointed since there was no explanation as to what happened with anyone in 1 and 2 except really Melia and Nia. But I can appreciate 3 more now that we have FR.
I enjoyed XC3 DLC far more than I did the base game, samw with XC2. I completed Future Redeemed in only 56h in just 5 days! I could max my level, craft the highest ranked gems, keep track of side quests, items, enemy drops and locations, and a % for the Affinity all within 400 mf hours Going back to the base game, I remembered how excessively grindy it was. It took me over 20h of burst-farming just to craft a SINGLE LVL X GEM I also attempted XP farming since I'm right under lv90, and I managed to progress lile 1/10th of my XP bar in an hour. The amount of XP and CP you need is insane --- I tried getting back into the base game to finish completing it, but I just ended up wanting to never play it again.. Errything takes wayyy too long, wayyy too much effort, wayyyy to many things I like myself a game that lasts long, but I hate it when they take me over 200h to clear the damb thing smh. I was able to complete XCDE in 320h+ and BoTW in 460h+ bcuz I had no backlog of games I wanted to play. Nowadays, I just wanna get my games completed ASAP so I can play and complete the next game I'm over 130h in ToTK and I haven't rly even played the game yet! Ever since I got my paraglider, the last 120h of my playtime has been spent hunting (currently at under 800) korok seeds and over 110 shrines. I just want them to be over with alrdy so I can complete other objectives. It just takes way too long
@Cqllel I’m right there with you. As a kid with the money for only like one or two games a year, any of the base Xenoblade games would’ve been perfect, though at the time I didn’t like RPGs. More and more though, I’ve enjoyed the quicker experiences because there’s so much more in interested in and am able to play now. So the problem I run into is time now. I do like how there’s tougher enemies than the boss itself in Xenoblade games for players who want that extra challenge, but I’ve pretty much accepted I’ll probably not 100% any of them lol
@@DerajjParallax I love it when games take me like 30h to 60h to complete everything. I used to love adding hours into my games, but now I have access to so many and I just wanna get them all played and completed From experience, I think a shorter experience makes for a more memorable one than playing a game that keeps dragging itself out to last as long as possible. Same for film franchises and series Even tho I don't have anything going on in my life, I can't shake the feeling that I'm wasting time that I have so little of even tho I have no schedules or places to be or dying. @@cqllel5186 I know what you mean! The older we get the faster time seems to go. Having a kid makes it go even faster! Because realistically with Al the new games coming out, I’m never going to get to ALL the games in that backlog, some of which I probably wouldn’t care too much about anyway when I actually started playing them.
@@DerajjParallax Yeah time rly got faster as I got older. Last night I broke my Master Sword in ToTK. I sat there for 10m for it to recharge and it literally felt like it had been 3 minutes instead. Sorry but XBC3 did not develop the characters well. I played for 130 hours and I can’t think of a single thing that XBC3 did better than future redeemed. It just did everything right.
Heroes in the DLC are way worse. Can’t remove them and they mess up your combos. And then when they add Shulk and Rex as Heroes to base. Not only can you not use them but you also can’t learn their classes.
@@DerajjParallax Yeah, you can get Rex and Shulk wandering with you but they have no dialogue or quests and no one can use their classes. No Mio DSE or infinity blade or Noah Monado buster. Na'el is the DLC after completing the game but kinda makes chain attacks after you get her harder to do and no affinity orders with her
@@PJDAltamirus0425 Right, I knew Rex and Shulk were in the base game, but what I’m referring to is there are no actual heroes to unlock in the DLC Future Redeemed except Na’el. Unless I’m misunderstanding or Mr Bubbles was referring just to Na’el when saying heroes in the DLC are worse.

I would love to get a physical release of Future Redeemed to help preserve it. Probably won’t ever happen, but we can dream lol
I liked how the OuroBoros in FR, u can switch it up with whoever u want while in 3 u couldn’t do that
Honestly my favorite thing was the dialogue after you fix the gem craftor
I haven’t done that yet! I need to get on that

Not really wrong.
Future Redeemed is THE thing people wanted from a Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
@AzureRoxe When I first finished Xenoblade 3, I was a little disappointed since there was no explanation as to what happened with anyone in 1 and 2 except really Melia and Nia. But I can appreciate 3 more now that we have FR.
It was the Xenoblade 3 they wanted, while the base game was the Xenoblade 3 they needed
