How do I know what temperature the room is actually set at? If the remote is not pointing at the unit, I can push the temperature button up and down and it does nothing to the unit because it's not pointing at it, obviously. But if I do that, say I have it punched up to 90 degrees, I know the unit is not actually set at 90 degrees because the remote wasn't pointing at it when I did that. So, how do I know what the actual temperature setting is? Same with the on/off function. If the unit is on, and I turn the remote "off" but it's not pointing at the unit, then the readout on the remote isn't correct. It will show off when the unit is actually on, or vice versa. And, finally, you have to push the buttons on the remote when pointing at the unit and hear a beep for it to actually communicate with the unit. If someone is hard of hearing, this beep is not audible, so that person has no idea if the unit "heard" or sensed the change made in temp or other function because he or she can't hear the beep. I appreciate any input on this subject. Thanks.

Yes, sad but true. Just got a nice high end one installed. While the heating/cooling does well, the remote and WiFi unit are very poor.
