    Thank you so much! I just bought a brand new Toyota Tundra and someone who worked at the dealership had themselves set up as the owner when I bought it and no one at the dealership could tell me how to fix it before I left the lot (even calling into Toyota's help desk didn't work) and the service department told me to call Toyota again to have it reset (which proved futile previously). I appreciate this video so much. It was the only negative experience I had with buying a BRAND NEW Toyota, though so I'm not complaining.

      @@christinemichelle363 glad to hear it helped. Funny thing is, this is a fairly new process that we were not trained on. I learned it from calling the Toyota Brand Engagement Center with a customer

    I am unfortunately stuck in the loop as well where the toyota connected services wont remove the previous owner. Ive submitted all documents needed they are just not taking any action which is incredibly frustrating.

    Mine is stuck on "your session has expired" constantly on a cycle

    What if no profile link menu shows up at all? Did all possible resets, Toyota DCM recall and they even replaced the entire infotainment system - nothing.

    Just got a 2021 Corolla and my screen is different-I'm not seeing a "Settings" feature. I am stuck! Help! 🙂

      @@ginacarter2241 the 21 is a completely different system. No QR code. Just hot “add vehicle” to your app and input the VIN. You’ll have to pay for whichever subscriptions you want

    hi steve my 2023 rav4 infotainment keeps restarting out of no where and im trying to make the 6 digit passcode to show up to stop it from restarting bcos this is not my first rodeo with this problem on this car.. is there a way out of this problem tho?

    The get started button under the giest tab is grayed out and i cant click it. The data service have been disabled on the vehicle i purchased and i cant connecr the vehicle to my toyota app because the screen doesnt display a qr code or 8 digit code

      @@FlavorGucci used car? The previous owner may have declined the date consent. You’ll have to call Toyota at 800-331-4331 to get it back on

    Why do I feel this is a security vulnerability? As long as one gains access and turns on the vehicle, one can remove the previous owner from the Toyota app.

    How can I add other drivers to allow them to save navigation destination and Home location? I can only see for primary driver.

      @@tp3246 each one needs their own profile on their own app. The car should detect other profiles when you’re not in the car and then they use their own favorites that they save

    My 2022 Tundra is currently at the dealership getting a new motor. Can I add the loaner 2024 Toyota Capstone to my app without affecting future sale of their vehicle?

      @@BAMDrones-MichaelBelshe probably not. The dealer likely has it set up in fleet mode which will not allow you to add to your app account. You can still use the CarPlay and Bluetooth without along the app though

      @TrainerSteveClifford actually it let me start the process. Then I worried it would mess things up with future sales and I backed out and deleted the vehicle from the app. Now it’s not connecting to services and I get the warning every time I start it up.

      @@hunterolson8175 those don’t have the same types of connections. If you have a car associated with another person, call Toyota at 800-331-4331

    Great video! I recently bought Toyota rav 4 adventure 2023 and only problem I got, is that dealer didnt removed primary driver and I am not able to remove it even I wrote dealer and they removed car from toyota app, still nothing, any tips?

      @@MultiAndyGames that’s a saved profile. It will eventually disappear. It is not account info and that person has zero access to the car. Even doing a full reset will not make it vanish… all it means is that that person once was connected to it

    What do you do to get your name off when you trade your car into another dealer (non Toyota) and you don't want to leave your name on the screen when you trade it in. ?

      @@Tundra-pw2cu delete the app from your phone, go to info and security and hit the reset button and then place the vehicle into guest mode

    Do I need the satellite or cellular portion in the top left that you have? My car has never been able to fully set me up and does not have the cellular/satellite.
    My profile does appear but only in detected profiles. My profile is then greyed out and unable to click on it.

      Last thing to mention. Even if I do manual setup. It says welcome “my name” but the next screen that asks if I want to save never appears.

      My satellite symbol is greyed out too ,have you taken yours to the dealer? They replaced my media system and it didn’t fix the issue and now there trying other things and have been unsuccessful,I have a 24 Toyota Tacoma trd off road

    Just got a used 2024 Corolla and no one can remove the primary driver. I am stuck in an endless loop of cannot link vehicle after selecting to remove primary driver. Went to the dealer, that can't do anything, talked on the phone, they tell me every which way to get back to linking the vehicle... which always fails. It is completely and utterly ridiculous are sold with the computer in this condition. I should have listened to my mother and ignored my foolish and misplaced loyalty to Toyota.

      @@tittumsmcsprinkles9020 did you try the procedure I describe in this video? It is the only way and should work unless the previous owner declined connected services. If they did that, hit the SOS button and call the number they give you

      @@TrainerSteveClifford Yes, multiple times. After sitting in a toyota dealership for an hour then spending another 30 minutes blasting the AC and wasting gas on a very static ridden call logging into a toyota account with a complex password 10 times just for the computer to fail to add the vehicle 10 times I gave up and settle for guest mode. Would have loved to spend $15/month to lock and unlock my car with my phone but toyota apparently doesn't want my $15/month because that computer refuses to save my profile or add the car to said profile.

    Hi Steve ,
    I really need your help , I buy second hand Toyata rav 2023 xle just yesterday, but it’s screen is rebooting after every 3 or 5 seconds, it’s very difficult for me to reset factory in that as when I click reset factory my screen go black , please help me if u know something. If u have any instagram handle just let me know , I can connect with u there and the screen by sending video of the screen.
    If u know this thing please let me know , it would appreciated . Thanks

      i actually have this problem with my rav4 and apparently you need to put your 6 digit passcode to make it stop rebooting but it may take awhile for it to show up as it takes days for mine.. really a pain in the ass for an expensive car to deal with tho smh..
