Hi Swifty! That shoulder problem you mentioned and that area you pointed out on your back really sounds like a very common problem. When using the mouse a lot or a smartphone the upper trap muscle can get really tight or inflamed. Which makes it a problem for your shoulderblades to fully retract.
If you can't retract your shoulderblades proberly it can become a problem for your overall shoulder health especially when working out.
You should go to a chiropractor. He can most likely fix that problem in no time.
