It’s definitely much better looking than the Tesla model Y, but the Tesla software is better than any electric cars software. Also, the infotainment system is the best behind android auto and Apple CarPlay, which this car doesn’t have.

It's easy to make power with electric vehicles. EVs are expensive due to the new tech. By making a vehicle have 600, 700, 800 or more HP, it helps car manufacturers justify a higher price. Tesla wants you to believe a model 3 is an Audi A4 competitor. In reality, if the model 3 had an internal combustion engine, it would absolutely have been a Chevy Malibu competitor (before the Malibu was discontinued).
Teslas don’t have it either. It is quite annoying when all of my other vehicles have the basic Apple play but my pricey techie EV. doesn’t have it.🙄 Maybe one day Elon will get along with Apple and android and put it in their software😂😂
Nearly every car is better as an EV except for (light) sports cars and small cars for now. Instant torque, smooth driving, range getting better every year and no local emissions, much more efficient energy use and useful day to day features like heating / cooling without an engine running, charging at home etc etc.

For those confused about the no car play or Android Auto, it has an Android system built in. So it does have all the features of Android Auto but you don't need to connect your phone. Volvo has the same system...they did add Car Play though as a free upgrade. I have the C40 and Car Play was added as part in an OTA update. The cars with the full Android OS built into the system work extremely well.

Tesla uses a quad core Ryzen APU with 8-16gb of GDDR5 or 5X depending on model. There isn't 1 piece of bloat in the software. You know what you can't do with android Auto... Stream FLAC, because the cars audio system can't decode it in real time and too much bandwidth is being eaten by the screen sharing. Imagine buying a car with a great sound system and only being able to utilize it over USB. I can listen to FLAC streamed from jellyfin while driving.

The gas powered Silverado‘s recently had a recall for bad electronics in the headlights. Of course, I would absolutely buy a General Motors electric car, gotta be reliable.
It’s pretty well equipped. Like that in other manufactures is almost 85K. But people love the convenience of their iPhones, and now we’ve gotten into this part of society where no one wants to evolve past it so without any CarPlay, this is almost dead in the water.
I'm guessing no CarPlay or Android Auto because of the irregularly shaped screen, but other EVs like the Lucid Air have a similarly shaped screen and still crammed that UI in there somehow

For people cribbing about no Apple car play or android auto, GMs system is basically an android skin will almost all the features that android auto offers. It was a bit buggy at launch earlier last year but works fine now. Trust me you won’t miss android auto.
This is built on the Chevy Blazer platform, its lowered to the ground to reduce drag (makes it looks wagon-like) but I DO like it better than Cadillac Lyriq’s odd body shape.
