    If you get some Blu-Tack, you can just stick things in place to your bench while you solder. Also useful to hold fiddly parts in position, or level parts off the desk etc. Generally more useful than "helping hands".

    Always good to hold headers etc in-place with a bit of blue tac , easy as. And flush LEDs by sticky tape on front of faceplate and LEDs pressed to it whilst soldering.

    No surprise only changing the frequency does not change the reading when set to VU-meter. Try changing the volume next time 🙂

    It's a very nice looking module. Your DIY videos always inspired me to get back to work on my own projects. Thanks for putting this out!

    These build videos are where you really shine, the reviews and demos not so much imho

    Compared to a lot of the shoddy stuff I watch on here you're a consummate pro.

    I think you should just live stream 24x7 from a backpack, that way we get the #fullROBIN. (I bought one of the modules after watching BTW)

    Nice video, the new format works well! Make some more...be interested to know if the Tuner sorts the live drifting issue. Do the VCO's drift because of the temperature shifts at the gig, or because there is no warm up time available? What we need is an auto tune feature on all VCO's...2HP module that measures the frequency and outputs a drift CV back to the VCO - no blinking light display just only one LED - when it's at pefect pitch.

      Thanks! The problem I think was inadvertent knob nudging rather than temperature changes. I like the auto tuning idea, although you don’t always want to be to scale. I think a pair of these in a 1U format would be great.

    If you are after recommendations for VCO tuning I’d suggest the CalTrans from Klavis.
    You can have up to four oscillators tuned and it lets you quantise to nearest semitones or select octave on a per output basis. Not 2hp, but not very wide if you are handling multiple oscillators.

    • @MoltenMusicTech
      @MoltenMusicTech  3 місяці тому

      Cool. The Caltrans appears to be more of a quantizer/transposer than a tuner - very useful though.

    • @Rockky67
      @Rockky67 3 місяці тому

      @@MoltenMusicTech It actually has an automatic tuning system, especially good for taming wild oscillators it is a “calibrator”
      www.klavis.com/images/Klavis_-_CalTrans_manual_V16.pdf
      Though having watched more of the build vid I agree it only solves the keeping in tune issue not the knowing what note is playing issue

    • @MoltenMusicTech
      @MoltenMusicTech  3 місяці тому

      I’m not getting how that’s the same thing. If you’re a tone out a quantizer is not going to correct that

      @Rockky67 3 місяці тому

      @@MoltenMusicTech Yeah sorry added an edit, I didn’t realise you were wanting to see the note I thought this was just about keeping oscillator tuning tamed

      It says in the manual it’s “not an absolute tuner” 🤷‍♂️
