Hey Brian, Lee here. Can definitely relate...I have traveled well over 6,000 miles this season including a trip to the Canadian border where they ripped our car apart and wouldn't let us cross because we were fishing with a guide and that we couldn't "exchange services" with him so turn around and go home. (Sorry run on sentence) Lots of work man. Keep it fun. We've still gotta get out this year together...dogfish are calling our names!
@TodaysAngler Man, those Canadiens are ruthless! That sucks you guys couldn't get up there! I'm looking forward to fishing with you, man! Can't wait to chase some doggies!
@@TodaysAngler Hmm. If the guide you hired was from the U.S. then I have heard similar stories as yours over the years. It has to do with employment laws. If your guide was Canadian that doesn't make any sense to me. I can't understand why they'd turn you away for hiring a Canadian guide. Sorry to hear that happened to you. I've heard stories about U.S. TV fishing personalities being banned from entering Canada because it was claimed that the TV personality was acting as a guide for his guest boat partner. The personality wasn't legally allowed to work in Canada as a non citizen or not a legal resident. In short, it's to protect Canadian jobs. Agree with it or not. I'm guessing that might be why you were denied entry.
It happens man, just take your time and post when you you can, don’t feel bad. I went from posting 3 times a week to once a week or even once every 2 weeks this summer since the fishing has been a little slower than I would like, best advice I can give you is to spend more time on each video if you post less, if you can find time to edit more I’d put extra effort on the editing side since you can do that anytime of day or anytime your free where the fishing part has to be when you have time, weather is right, and the fish are biting. Or if you can, post a short form video the week you don’t post the long form or a community post so you’re still interacting with the community. Just my advice, keep up the great work and please, don’t stress over it…. Ps: don’t be afraid to film some how to, educational, or review videos as well. Something you can film quick and easy and be beneficial to your viewers. With your knowledge I’m sure there is so many people who would love to learn from you
@NASPELTZ Thank you sir! I appreciate your perspective as you know as well as anyone how this stuff works (or doesn't work, lol) I'm thinking of alternating a short then a long form vid and see how that works for now. I appreciate you man! Thank you so much for the support!
Appreciate all the content over time. Your videos scratch the musky itch for me in winter when seasons closed. It’s been a great run. Take time for yourself
I enjoy your content and sometimes less is more. You have certainly attained a level much higher and I may ever see as far as success on UA-cam, but I did learn in 2023 to let go of the schedule! If I have content and get a video, great. If I don't, then that is actually just fine! In fact, to let go of that pressure was a HUGE relief! I think you'll appreciate it! Also, this late summer fishing has been brutal in a lot of places across the midwest!
@Dark30Outdoors Thank you so much, and I always appreciate your comments! I'm thinking of starting the every other week schedule on the 28th of September and it already feels like such a relief! And yes, the fishing has been so tough lately!
You make awesome content, regardless how often you post videos, we will all watch. Don’t feel bad for “doing less”. Filming content and editing/posting is a ton of work.
It's tough putting videos out on a consistent basis...but putting Musky content out once a week for as long as you have is hall of fame status. Looking forward to future videos and enjoy your breaks!
When I get burnt out (3 straight years of weekly long form uploads) I try to fun fish or just do some gear reviews. I personally love creating content as well but it’s really easy to burn out…..especially when chasing after Muskies. Looking forward to the comeback!🤘🏼
When something you do for fun starts becoming a chore, it stops being fun! Keep the content coming when you have time, energy and its something you're excited to share. I'll be here waiting living vicariously through the videos wishing I could get out half as often as you do to chase these fish.
@jgmechanicalservices8605 I just got back from a quick 2 day jaunt to Northern WI and have, for the first time in a few months, some video that I'm excited to edit! Thank you so much for the support!
Your channel has great content. You helped me rebuild my transom instead of spending thousands of dollars to have it done. Thanks for all you've done. I personally appreciate you dude.
Slow down man enjoy life but know you are the best Musky content on You Tube I can't imagine I spent all day on the boat today didn't move a musky so I can't imagine making videos on the illusive musky
I completely understand. The balancing act is extremely difficult. The amount of time and work it takes to put together videos while still working a job and paying attention to your family can definitely take a toll. It’s like working a full-time job on top of a full-time job. Just so you know You have inspired me on so many levels, but not just in making videos. I’ve planned a trip to the Northwoods of Wisconsin after a 25 year absence to relive the days of me fishing with my father. Your videos helped me pull the trigger on this. It’s gonna be epic so thank you.
@TiggsTailsFishing Thank you so very much for all of the support! And it makes me so happy to think that I inspired you to do that ☺️ I wish you the best of luck!
@joebegnoche Thank you so much! I just had a fun couple of days in the Northwoods and was able to capture some really cool stuff! I just have less urgency to edit now, but I'm looking forward to seeing how an every other week schedule will go!
@@AnglingAnarchy heck yeah! The lack of fishing I have been able to do this year is upsetting so being able to watch you, the Todays Angler crew, Matt Vavroch, and Ben Stone out in the water has helped fill the void 😂
We all get burnt out. Nothing wrong taking time off and concentrating on your self and the family. All the best and RNR. Till next time and hope to see you back soon.
You can bet we're all hoping to see as much of your videos as we can. Full time jobs and family can compromise time on the water. It's all worth it though. In the meantime, my wife and I will be watching Angling Anarchy reruns.
@stevestrand9949 I'm definitely going to be getting out and making some entertaining content, but I'm thinking the every other week schedule will be a lot nicer for right now. I appreciate the kind words and the support!
Dang, I just found your channel and subscribed this year, very entertaining/underrated content. I wouldn’t mind a few short tip videos from you on how you work different style baits if you find some time or after you get some R&R. Something else I always ask musky anglers is their opinions on positioning for the retrieve when casting a musky spot. Based on forage pattern, water current, wind speed, etc. Could maybe keep the flow while saving you time by cutting back on editing, while still throwing a tip or two to help a brother out! 😂 Respect either way. Stay healthy.
@Midwest-aFishyaNado I very much appreciate you watching, my man! It just so happens that I'm planning on doing a few videos about how we use different baits and that sorta stuff. In fact I'll be filming them tomorrow! Thanks for the support brother!
I have enjoyed your work and content. You've made a great contribution to the fishing and musky communities. I can honestly say that I enjoy nothing more in life than fishing with my boys. I'm praying that I get an opportunity to take them up to Eagle Lake next year (2025). You have played a part in that. Rejoice. Feel fulfilled. No matter what you decide, mazel tov on your success and thank you for the content!

Thank you so much for the support, and I'm looking forward to getting more videos out on an every other week basis!
I haven't even got on the water to musky fish yet this year, supposed to go a few times this fall but I completely understand you get busy and burned out, sometimes you just need to take a break. Go spend time with your family.
