GIANT BAIT CATCHES HUGE MUSKY!! - My Biggest Inland Lake Muskie
Вставка
- Опубліковано 11 вер 2024
- Day 3 of a long weekend in Northern Wisconsin finds us chasing BIG muskies on a very small body of water (less than 200 acres), and I decide to throw a style of bait that I haven't used for quite some time, a dive and rise jerkbait, and it pays off in a HUGE way! A beautiful 48" Northern WI musky hammers my Chaos Tackle 12" Navin and I get to hold what is my longest inland lake muskie!

You put out great content! Your shows are very REAL! You're not too good to measure your fish (versus the other shows that just guess and leave the viewer wondering). You don't pitch a bunch of products during your shows either, which is a nice change. Just a solid, down to earth, fishing show!
Jon Svobodny Thank you so much, that means a lot to me! I'm just glad folks find it entertaining to watch 😀
#truth 👍
Exactly right
Truth!
Just about every lake or pond up there has one or 2 toothy critters roaming around
A TRUE "GOLDEN BEAUTY" -IMHO!!!! GO-AA!
@jdean1851 Thanks bud!
Not gonna lie, made me REALLY nervous when you were unhooking that little pike!🤣
Timothy Thompson Me too lol. It's always the small ones that are the most dangerous!
@@AnglingAnarchy not just Esox either! A tiny bass or panfish with a face full of treble hooks is the most dangerous fish on the planet! 🤣
Timothy Thompson I was wincing when that was going on.
Great stuff! Love the emotion shared in the boat on that big, beautiful girl. That's what it's all about right there. Great teamwork and congrats on your inland PB! Navin did work!
Chad Leton Thank you for the kind words! Only thing better than the catch was the friends I got to share it with!
Hahahahaha "if my face wasn't messed up already this would've done it" dude I'm dead bahahaha!
Congrats on a beautiful wisco giant! My favorite type of fish
ILL Musky Hunter Thank you! It was the only thing I could come up with in the moment 🤪😀
Love that lake!
m splumber One of the best up there!

Good job Brian that looks like a fun trip beautiful clean fish too 👍
Cory Frandy Thank you! Couldn't have asked for a better trip!
Really diggin your show. What is the name of this lake you're fishing. I live in Danbury, and don't recall fishing this nice lake..
roger eastman I'm glad you're enjoying the vids! My buddy is the one that showed me this lake and I just don't feel comfortable saying the name of it. Hope you understand. Tight lines!
@@AnglingAnarchy one thing I've learned from all you fishing guys. When I get my own channel...I'm going to specifically give details of where I'm fishing. Some of these guys act like they own the lakes...and seem to think there's a crowd of anglers around the country with their motors running, waiting to cause a gold rush to those spots.....
@@rogereastman3187 That's the beauty of having your own channel, you can do with it as you see fit. If you want to name every single lake you are fishing, that's your call. And to the guys and gals that never say which body of water they are on, I understand it and it's their prerogative. I have dozens of videos on which I name the body of water we are fishing, Eagle Lake, Madison Chain, Fox River, and Green Bay to name a few. I also have many vids where I don't mention where we are. Hopefully all the vids, whether you know where we are fishing or not, are entertaining and maybe even educational. Good luck with your channel, I wish you nothing but success.
@@AnglingAnarchy you keep up the great work too! I love your channel
Beautiful green one bro! Keep the videos coming!
Brady Martz Thanks buddy! I'm gonna try! 😀
Haven't even watched it yet but Thank You! Open water/musky videos are few and far between these days.
Scott Kietzmann I still have a few open water vids in the hopper, but it's getting down to the bottom of the barrel!
True northwoods beast great catch
Shane Sommer Thanks bud! 😊
Nice musky Brian, keep up with the great content.
Mitchell Genz Thanks bud! I'll do my best!
Nice vid and congrats on the beautiful fish!
Biological Angler Productions Thank you very much! I appreciate it!
Man that fish was perfect, great fish man. I finally caught a musky here in Tennessee, a little 37” but I have been working for it for 2 months . Great videos guys
Jordon Pratt Congrats on your TN musky! I'm sure it won't be your biggest, you guys have some fantastic muskies down there. Thanks for watching dude!
Great day on the water.
MsPrincesspaulina absolutely!
Really nice color fish ! Thanks ;)
sudiste Thank you for watching!
Visions of that pike kicking and those hooks sinking !! Ouch... Great video as always ! Merry Christmas !! Hope Thanksgiving was good !
Curt Adams Thank you! I was living a little dangerously with that one lol. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Damn nice fish! Congrats!!
Craig M Thank you!

That’s a nice musky
I am new in your channel good job
Seńor Spinner fishing Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
This makes me wanna buy a Navin. Good fish, bro!
Musky Man TV Thank you sir!
@10:06 You should buy your buddy in the back there a beer for his teamwork.
Towards the end you turn the camera and show a pile of lures laying in the boat. I got to wondering what your reaction would be to seeing some of the lures I have. Lures have changed a lot since I got into muskies in the 90's and then stopped fishing about 10 years ago. Some of the lures I have are no longer made. I don't have near the amount of soft plastic lures or double bladed bucktails that you, Robbie and Lee have. That being said, we do have some of the same lures. I have some of
Lee Lure's. I also have some Le Lure's if you know those.
The Lonesome Fisherman I started my musky lure collection back in 2000-2001 when I started working at Gander Mountain. Lots of Bucher Top Raiders and Dancin' Raiders 😊
@@AnglingAnarchy Ahhh, so you're saying that you took your pay in muskie lures rather than in wages! lol A couple of guys I used to know from Thorne Bros used to say that is what they did as a joke. Never had any luck with Bucher Top Raiders or Dancin Raiders. but I loved the Depth and Shallow Raiders. Those caught fish.
Ok I’m hooked and just subbed. When I’m up there I’m hittin you up.
Tiggs Tails Thank you! I'll be looking for you!
Great show. When will the Navins be available on line? Thx.
Scott Norvell Thanks man! As far as I know Rick from Chaos Tackle is preparing for all of the upcoming muskie shows/expos which means just about all of the Navins produced will be earmarked for that purpose so it may be early spring before they are available on the website. If you're on Facebook, the best thing to do would be to follow the Chaos Tackle page. He is very good about posting when popular baits are available there. Hope that helps!
Another great vid guys!! Thanks again for posting. Question, what time of year do you like for a week on Eagle Lake? We have always done July or August and had good luck if the weather played ball, but I am considering trying later in the season.
Blake Johnson Thanks for watching! I like Eagle just about anytime, with mid August being my favorite. I did a late Sept / early Oct trip quite a few years back and the fishing was pretty good, with hardly any other boat traffic 😀
My parents have a house on Eagle and I have fished the lake quite a bit myself. Lots of success later in the year happens right before the lake turns over....second week of September ish. I highly recommend then. Also, as Brian mentions the boat traffic drops off significantly after labor day.
9:00 never seen one quite that color the back looks so dark, and the sides so gold...at least on camera..
Uncle Heffe A beautiful Northern WI fish for sure!
Maybe you guys should crimp down the barb's......
See if you can land it.
Test how good if a fisherman y'all really are.....
Not one of my hook's have a protruding barb.
All are either crimped down or come barn less.
Quick question. Why do you leave the lure in the net while taking the fish out first?
don ferensic Mostly just so we can get the fish out for a measure and a pic then get it back on the water as fast as possible, although I will admit it would be smarter to take it out first. Sometimes its tangled enough I'd rather deal with it after the fish has been taken care of, but that decision may very well catch up with me one of these days and I'll have no one to blame but myself 😁
@@AnglingAnarchy I was nervous watching that! LOL. Only because in Canada we did that and my brother got quite the hand and thumb injury both from treble hooks and musky teeth. I thought that video was awesome and you gained a new sub. Merry Christmas from Michigan.
@@donferensic7482 I was nervous as I watched it while editing 😳 lol. Thank you for watching and Merry Christmas to you as well!
You are very lucky you didn't get hooked by the pike,be careful out on the water.
Great fish. What color pattern was that navin?
Vanessa Murphy Thank you! It was just a standard perch pattern.
Great thanks! Keep up the great vids
Just bought a 12” Navin, it seems to sit on top of the water a lot when working, do you recommend adding the weights when working it? Is this supposed to be more walk the dog or dive and rise like a suick?
Rwerner 3515 It's a dive and rise. Bend the tail down 20-25 degrees and throw a few weights on and it should work really good!
Angling Anarchy awesome thank you very much!
Hey I was on the chaos tackle website and seen the kodiak navin but didn’t see if it came with the screw in weights wondering if you could clear that up for me, thanks a lot!
Salt Champ The Navins dont come with any weights, so if you need some, you'll have to order some off of the site. If you have any screw in weights for other baits, they should be universal and work on the Navins.
@@AnglingAnarchy thanks a lot
What would be your favourite weight for a slow rise?
Salt Champ For the 8" I like the 7/8oz weight. For the 10" I like the 1 1/4oz weight and for the 12" I use one of the 7/8 and one of the 1 5/8.
@@AnglingAnarchy awesome thanks for the reply your the best
You seen panic stricken when you hook up ,great vid though
darren parkinson not panic stricken, just super excited. Even after boating 300+ muskies every strike is still exciting! Thanks for watching!
Angling Anarchy fair play keep on loving the fishing
“Well that was dumb”. Hahaha! Stupid fish shows up with the bait just sitting there.
inferno715 I'm never sure who's dumber, me or the muskies 😄
Can I get one of your logo hats? Killer!
Jon Hubert Absolutely! Shoot me an email at anglinganarchy@gmail.com
Does the name of that lake start with an A?
danfabisac Nope 😊
@@AnglingAnarchy I didn't think so😉.
Simple modification to that fancy Navin jerkbait:
Parts
1. split ring
2. quality ball bearing snap swivel
3. spinner blade. Size, color, shape is up to you
Tools
1. drill and bit.
2. split ring pliers.
In the center, side to side, of the lures metal tail fin drill a hole with a large enough diameter for the split ring to fit through and swing freely. Using the pliers attach the split ring through the hole you just drilled. Attach the swivel end of the snap swivel to the split ring. Attach spinner blade to the snap. Done!. Can be done to Leviathan's, Suick's and Bobbie's too.Kind of like having a flap tail on the back of the lure.
MsPrincesspaulina I like it! At one point I was thinking about doing something similar and wondered whether or not that would be a good idea and had kind of forgot about the whole thing. Thank you for reminding me! I like the specific directions! 😀
You're welcome but I can't take credit for the idea. That belongs to Mrs. Dick (Betsy) Pearson who wrote about it in IN-FISHERMAN magazine back in the 1980's. I've done it to a couple of Bobbie Baits I have and it works well. You'll have to eyeball the sizes of the parts. You don't want to hang to big of a blade on the lure and upset the action of it. Good luck.
I copied/pasted the idea to Lee over @Today's Angler so he can modify his Leviathans too if he wants to.
Sickkk
Whitetail Ops Thank you!
How you on hook the first pike and dit not liked it it was that pffff great fishermen you are 👎
Lol 😂🤣
