I think in all fairness Jay and Adam no one knows whats really going on in the Barbie movie. Being based off a girl's multi million dollar doll that's so iconic and never actually having a story it can really be whatever anyone wants it to be

I heard that the movie actually does a deep dive into gender politics, and they're hiding that cause they know it doesn't sell
I just wish I really knew who the target audience was. Parts of this made me chuckle and then the rest of it I'm like yeah this is for a little girls to watch....
It was directed by Greta Gerwig and she co-wrote it with Noah Baumbach, and from everything I’ve seen, it’s tonally going to be like “The Brady Bunch Movie”, and she’s going to interact with the real world and be totally out of her element.
Anybody who loves film is only interested because of the cast, director, and writers. I’m a big cinephile and I am only interested only because of the cast and crew. Don’t give a fuck that it’s a Barbie movie. Greta Gerwig is directing, Noah Baumbach is writing with her, and we got an incredible cast…

“Part of your world” was supposed to be cut from the original film too. The directors has to fight for it bc a Disney exec said it was a ballad and kids would be bored. They were like the song is the whole reason the rest of the movie exists and it can’t be cut.

I LOVE that Kate McKinnon plays the Barbie that we, as little girls, used crayons to add makeup to the barbie and used to put them into impossible splits. Kate is perfect for that Barbie. Lol.

I’m pretty sure everything we’ve seen in the Barbie trailers are all part of the first act of the movie.
They’re both teaser trailers getting us ready for the tone of the film, while the main trailers will probably focus on Barbie going to the real world
God I hope not. You play with toys to escape the real world. If Barbie comes into the real world it will be like the 1990 MotU movie
If there isn’t at least one thing that guys identity the Barbie toy it is based off of every 3 minutes throughout the entire movie, then it’s not a Barbie movie, it’s Barbie in a hallmark movie

Jay's reaction to the Indy trailer is exactly what my reaction was. Please let this movie be good. Please please please let it be good. I've been there with Indy since the beginning in 1981 and he needs to go out on a high note. The fact that James Mangold is involved gives me lots of hope, but I'm still really nervous about it. Please let it be good.

My theory for Barbie is that this is before barbie as a brand started. The Barbie world is an offshoot of ours and Barbie wanting to enter the "real" world and doing so is the inspiration for the toy line.
Jay spittin fax tbh, there has never been a better ‘I want’ song than “Part of Your World” and the fact that Katzenberg nearly succeeded in cutting it from the finished film still haunts me ngl
I wonder if Jay knows Part of Your World and Somwhere that's Green from Little Shop of Horrors are essentially the same song by the same composer.
The look on Adams face on “The Barbie” movie was hilarious.

I know it's been said, but the 'BARBIE" trailer is 100% how I played with my Barbie's in the early 90s. The way they move, the way I made them talk, the way I thought BF/GF were...and my Ken really did have his blue roller blades with him all the time and my Hip Hop Barbie had her kickin' boom box! For the Barbie generation, this movie is IT!

Indiana Jones will be shown in Cannes a month before the theatrical release; studios never risk doing so unless they're confident the film is good. It's Mangold, the guy who made Logan; another aging hero's last hurrah.

I suspect you've never really looked at a Barbie. They don't know what to do because they are missing key parts of their anatomy.

The use of music in the Indiana Jones trailer was fantastic. Reworking an existing theme can either fall very VERY flat, or, like in this case, work really REALLY well. And as for Crystal Skull, come on guys, it's a tale of the War Doctor (John Hurt) who has lost his memory and ended up living a few decades on Earth hunting down a weapon for the Time War. After the weapon/alien(s) is sent back to its own dimension he gets his memory back, sticks around for the wedding, then bops on outta there.
Does the analytics take into account that I went back and forth to watch Jay's reaction of Ariel's singing? 😊

The Barbie trailer absolutely makes me think they're doing a "what if we took a little girls' imagination while playing with Barbies and made it a movie" and I AM HERE FOR IT. The way the car flips? For sure how a kid would have a car flip. haha! Also the lil "boyfriengirlfrien" part

Came for the Extraction 2 trailer and you didn't disappoint. It looks INCREDIBLE!! The first one was amazing and this one looks the same!
As if John Wick didn't already prove it, Extraction is another perfect example of what happens when you give a stunt guy directing duties. You get something that you've never seen before because these guys know exactly as far as they can push things to create something amazing.

Extraction 2 so needs to be in theatres for how amazing they just took the first film and cranked to 11. I want to feel the uproar of the audience while watching this in a theatre

ANY PALOOZA DAY IS A GOOD DAY
Two things about Indy: First, they are premiering it at Cannes almost two full months before it's released. If it were bad I can't imagine them allowing it to be screened at the world's most famous film festival. That would allow two full months of terrible press to precede the release. Second, they've given James Mangold a Star Wars movie. If Indy 5 were a disaster there's no way they'd also hand Star Wars to him.
Barbie is one of 2films I'm most excited for the rest of the year.

Sam Hargrave (director of Extraction and Extraction 2) is from the 87Eleven team, the John Wick director/stunt guys. He was also the dead spy in Atomic Blonde and was the fight coordinator for the one-shot stairwell scene.
GIRLS get the Barbie movie. Just saying, the feeling is visceral when it comes to the Barbie images this film, so stop analyzing it and just enjoy it. You don’t have to get it.

Barbie is more like it's gonna be Enchanted, we just haven't seen all the real world part just yet since it's still just a teaser not the actual trailer yet.

I was getting ready to put on the boxing gloves, But I can't really think of any songs off the top of my head that can handily beat "Part of Your World" as an 'I want' song.
"Who I am inside" is great, but not really as big and bombastic, its more intimate and thoughtful.

I don't really remember Crystal Skull..I had surgery when it came out and was on pain meds when I saw lol from what I've heard that probably the best way to have seen it lol I really hope this one is good!
In Extraction they should have a beat where they need to steal a car and they have a choice between a jeep and a Ferrari. When the girl wonders why Hemsworth chooses the jeep, he quips,..."that's the other franchise."
