Many players look like they're giving a guitar orders, making demands with their fingers. When Orianthi plays it seems like her hands gently and kindly ask the guitar for notes, and it happily provides them. Beautiful to watch.
Richie has so much talent & knows his craft, he has absolutely nothing to prove to anyone. He's goofy sometimes & always has been, its one of his endearing traits but don't let it fool you. Read his lyrics, hear his music....he's poetic, soulful, he's intelligent, deep & serious about his music and still has fun with it. He opens up, invites you in & hides nothing through his songs while being completely vulnerable. Thats a true musician, a story teller, a singer songwriter who leaves it all out there. Thats my opinion!!

Orianthi just has those fabulous clean clops. She is really a nice person, very unpretentious. Just makes her super talent stand out more. Such a fun show.and the still at the end says it all. Only at Norms Rare guitars that attract very rare people. Thanks!

So nice to see more recent footage of the King of Swing (I'd miss this clip). He is in the top 5 of my own most influential guitarists--his soulful and powerful playing coupled with his one-of-a-kind voice, stage presence (and his amazing signature instruments) really inspired my teenage self, back in the 80s and 90s. Sad to see him not well for a while now. Take care of yourself, Mr. Bluesman, you still have so much music in you!

I could watch and listen to her play anything she likes all day all night! She makes everything sound amazing and has every technique in the book down to a tee! Genius Guitarist! 100%!! Sales no matter what SUCKS. Selling guitars is marginally more fun in L.A. but it's still DRUDGERY. "Stars" comprise maybe 1 out of hundreds of tire kickin' grinders that don't help you make the rent so no - Norm's is just more pressure because you are trying to part people from their hard earned on very expensive - yet still made just as cheap as ANY good $1000 guitar - foo foo old guitars..... not any easy sale. Daily, you'd make more money selling picks strings, mics and stomp boxes all day long - but NOT at Norm's. 🎸🎶

She’s awesome! I want to spend a whole damn day in this shop, just hanging out. Teens through college it was book stores for me. When I was stressed out, needed to decompress, book stores. Those sorts of book stores don’t exist anymore. Now it’s guitar shops, but the chain stores, there’s nothing to explore there. It’s so standardized. So I go to the thrift shops, and in fact haven’t bought a totally new guitar yet. So Norm’s, that’s pure heaven for me.

As a girl who plays guitar and works for 3-4 hrs at it every day, I appreciate so much that Orianthi can actually PLAY and dude she’s underrated! Some of these girl guitarists that are also popular singers play 4 decent notes and get worshipped lmao. Orianthi is truly talented and knows her way around the instrument very well. And guess what? She’s still beautiful without trying to look like a model like some of these chicks do to distract people from the fact that they’re not that great. So in short lol I have BIG respect for Orianthi. She’s right up there with Clapton and John Mayer 🔥

But yeah, everyone has to be so kind, calling him grandpa, etc. My daughter is 38 and her husband is 60. I have never seen her happier. Age is just a number after all.

Ori, you really should buy that 1951 Martins 5-18. Steve Earle has some videos he put together on his YT channel, telling the history of some of his vintage Martin and Gibson acoustics. I’m fairly certain he covered his sizes 1, 2, 3 and 4, from that era, but does not yet have a good size 5. Besides the collectability, you travel so much, you would definitely have so much fun with that little guitar along for the ride. Go for it!
Yes, he has various solo albums and there are videos of him with BJ taking the lead. His vocal instrument is great too. I worry about how his rough, gutteral singing for years has taken a toll on his vocal flaps and speaking voice (which could just be aging in addition).

@@shugyigo4901 They broke up in 2018 because Ori was uncomfortable being with richie because in the media everyone thought she wanted his money and shit. It was really sad... But thankfully she doesnt seem to mind nowadays or kind of accepted it or whatever but they're back together and everything seems fine

@@Kengursson She still gets beat up on social media all time! They both do. She had backed off on posting anything about Richie for awhile, but looks like she's putting a little more out there again. She's also been so busy recording, the Gibson Endorsement and Geosphere show, she hasn't a whole lot of time for Richie. But yeah, everyone has to be so kind, calling him grandpa, etc. My daughter is 38 and her husband is 60. I have never seen her happier. Age is just a number after all.

Ori, you really should buy that 1951 Martins 5-18. Steve Earle has some videos he put together on his YT channel, telling the history of some of his vintage Martin and Gibson acoustics. I’m fairly certain he covered his sizes 1, 2, 3 and 4, from that era, but does not yet have a good size 5.
Besides the collectability, you travel so much, you would definitely have so much fun with that little guitar along for the ride. Go for it!

Yes, he has various solo albums and there are videos of him with BJ taking the lead. His vocal instrument is great too. I worry about how his rough, gutteral singing for years has taken a toll on his vocal flaps and speaking voice (which could just be aging in addition).
