    You should laminate those birthday circles so you can reuse them year after year!

    Hi! I would put the six cube shelf against the wall with the lights. That way you close off that space because I feel like the lights just hanging there is very tempting for the kids. Plus it might look really cool having the lights hanging above the books and some lights peeking through behind. Then you can put the futon in that little space next to the cabinet that you can't move.

    I always feel like I am wasting time doing the “tedious” stuff, but then I realize that that stuff has to get done, too! I tell myself that this stuff has to get done first and then I can focus on curriculum.

    On the white board you could centre the little star border and put star student in the middle then it will leave you with two spaces on either side one for class jobs one for mrs a kellogg board. Just a thought don't know if it would be too busy or not! Love your videos :)

    Another youtuber teacher said to use tack it glue on your borders to make them stick to your white boards like the magnet ones do. You put the glue on let it dry then place them on your whiteboard might work better for you then tape.

    You may consider even if you don't make a whole wall for yourself to have a space near your desk to hang important announcements, student drawings, etc 💜😊

    You may want to check with admin about the lights. I teach in Southern California and we are not allowed to hang lights ( fire hazard).

    Hi so I’m very annoyed how passionate Americans teachers are about setting up the class most of the energy goes to setting up the classroom but kids leave kindergarten unable to read to write spell their name identifies color animals etc man the parents refuse to talk about it everyone ignores it it’s a disgrace in the public school

      I'm sorry that has been your experience. But classroom setup is an important thing as well. The setup of your room impacts the functionality of your room. We like to make things visually appealing as well because being in a beautiful space makes you feel welcome and comfortable. No one is going to learn anything in a space they don't feel comfortable in. Some of us go above and beyond because it makes the teacher happy, but it doesn't mean content and curriculum is overlooked or abandoned. It also depends on your state standards. In Texas (at the school I taught at last year- every school is different) we had to teach nothing but the standards. Things like colors and animals weren't on it so I couldn't teach it even if I wanted to. Just wanted to say that, because things that are or are not taught aren't always the teacher's choice. It's also the parents' job to teach their children at home. A parent is a child's first teacher. We can't leave everything up to the schools.

      Firstly I didn’t say it wasn’t important I said it shouldn’t be the most important thing like you’re a teacher as you said so 1.Do you think it’s the most important thing as a teacher to put all your energy in the classroom decor than the child? 🤔
      Also in addition you said it child need both parents and teacher to fully learn don’t we all believe but do we do it no we all find loop holes parents teacher and administrator are not on the same page and that a political conversation I wasn’t talking about I’m talking about how you guys make designing the classroom top priority over teacher the kids the basic

      @@africanislamicbeauty “Some of us go above and beyond because it makes the teacher happy” I guess once the teacher happy it doesn’t matter how other people feel

    • @africanislamicbeauty
      @africanislamicbeauty 2 роки тому +1

      @@beautybae3496 it's definitely not the most important thing. I don't know any teachers that think or feel that way. Most of us devote so much time to students and their learning/ social-emotional needs we don't have much of a life outside of that. The way a room looks is never the most important thing. Most teachers that post, don't post everything they do as far as lessons go, but they are starting to post it more.

    • @africanislamicbeauty
      @africanislamicbeauty 2 роки тому +1

      @@beautybae3496 how other people feel about it (depending on who those people are) does matter. However, considering most of our day is spent in our classrooms before during and after school, we do make it a space that we want to spend time in.
