Cut, laminate, cut!! Otherwise the laminate comes apart. Leaderboard looks so great! Also, I am happy that you have a friend at your new school. It is so necessary to have someone to support you!
Wow! Your room is looking great! I don’t know if you noticed, but I think when you put up your multiple numbers above the board (19:20), the number one and one of the ones in the number 11 are switched. The first one has the multiples of 11 on it and the one in the 11 has multiples of 1. I’m loving this groovy vibe you have going on in your room too!
Totally team laminate & then cut. Who wants to do that extra work of cutting twice? 🤣 Your classroom is really coming together!! Looks so good! Also, can’t believe you have 29 students 😅 I have 12 currently over here in Maine… so crazy how things differ so much amongst the country.
You are amazing. So much work but your classroom is looking great. The public does not realize how much work and how many hours teachers put in for their students before school starts. The classroom environment is so important. Have a successful school year.
Progress is going so good!!! I teach in California and we don’t have every Wednesday as an early dismissal but we do have a couple of Wednesdays that are 10am late starts. It all depends on the district 💙
I love these long videos, it's easy to feel the teacher life vibe 🤗 I am a kindergarden teacher from Hungary and have so much inspiration from your kind and happy vlogs ❤️
We use amplify at my school in texas and studies weekly. Amplify is great. I teach math and science so I'm not heavily involved with it except during intervention but what I do see and what my coteacher gives me is great. I taught social students last year with studies weekly. Definitely have to be prepped and ready to use but it's nice and engaging.
Love the way it’s coming together! I’m not sure if you already noticed, but I think the 1s on 1 and 11 on your numbers multiples are mixed up. I also cut laminate cut because my laminate always messes up if I don’t!
I used to have studies weekly back in grade school and I did iready which is an amazing program and studies weekly definitely help me interact with my homework better
My school growing up did leader in me and I highly recommend trying to incorporate them into lessons and into other daily life things because a lot of my teachers spent like an hour talking about all these different habits every day but then really didn't tell us how to incorporate it into our actual lives. Everyone hated leader in me so much
I do both depending on the paper! If there is a full paper of stuff and I’m not wasting anything by laminating I do it the easy way, otherwise I cut lam cut
My new school is a Lighthouse School as well! It's a great program and definitely requires the student to take ownership by being a leader. My highest has been 32 on the elementary side. But by Jan-Feb you may have 26-28
Cut laminate then cut! If you cut after, your edges will lose the lamination. Also your M magnet on the Math/ELA board, is upside down so that’s probably why it isn’t staying😅
I really love teaching social studies. To me studies weekly, really dumbed down important moments and people in our history. For example, I taught 1st grade and it taught them that the 4th of July was about hot dogs, parades and fun. It didn't give any information about the importance at all.

Yes agreed!!!! On both things lol ❤️

Laminate then cut! Never had an issue with it. Your room looks great!!
I love watching these, but not actually having to do it myself anymore! Lol I left the classroom, but still like the videos. 😊

Big fan of Studies Weekly! It’s great for annotating and my students love the online component.
Good to hear!
Hello Kathy!! Love watching from upstate NY. Have missed you recently. Hope you’ve enjoyed your summer.

Laminate lasts longer when you cut laminate cut. It is also more likely to be waterproof depending on how closely you cut.
Yes!!! I knew there was a reason to the madness 🤩

I love that!! Excited to be teaching at a lighthouse school! Best wishes for your school year ❤️

Hahaha thank you!! Ill have to check that!
Future sped teacher and team cut laminate cut. Takes longer but lasts longer, especially for pecs!
Agreed!!!
100% laminate then cut. 10 years teaching and I've NEVER had anything come apart.
hi ms. kathy kellogg you are teachher 😍😇
My daughter Danielle would know to set up her future classroom
Where did you get the posters that you put under your whiteboard? We call them the 7 habits but you had 8. Our school is starting to implement these!
They were on tpt for free! I just looked up 7 habit posters and we are implementing habit 8!
I laminate and then cut.
Hi Kathy! Which TPT account did you find those leader in me posters? Thanks! 💛
29 students is alot...😬 are you gonna have a teacher assistant??
No! But I will have someone coming in to help some individual students 🥰
Cut, laminate, cut🥰
🤩🤩🤩
I am on team laminate cut. 😁
I seen that your first number needs to be switched with the first number of 11. You know what I mean? (Hopefully)
Omg good eye!! Thanks so much! Gonna fix it today lol 😅
@@KathyKellogg 😄
Cut, laminate, cut team lol
Twenty-nine 5th graders is a lot of bigger bodies. The most I've ever had was 32 second graders.
What math curriculum are you using?? You talked about all the other subjects but not math.
Iready!
Team laminate cut
Flat cotton sheets are cheaper.
ms. kathy kellogg 🎀
8 is upside down.
Cut, laminate, cut
Laminate then cut!!!
I laminate and cut. 😂
Everything in California is better
Laminate, then cut.... the option is JUST TOO MUCH WORK....
Studies weekly is terrible.
Tell me your thoughts!
