New to your channel and I love your room! The vibes in your classroom is really awesome! I'm going to have to binge your earlier room setups. A little hot glue on the back of the Command Strips helps hold onto concrete blocks and doesn't peel the paint off.

Desk pet is awesome! I incorporated money into it. So my kids have a wallet and can earn money for good behavior, 100’s on tests and perfect attendance for the week. They earn money and can shop at the pet store on Fridays. I have toy erasers too along with animals in the “pet store” box and they can spend money for a toy or for another desk pet. 😊
You can take the disc from the old planner and covers to make a note book or journal.

I save the rings from the happy planners also. Then I created a “planner” of extras over the years-folders, covers, etc. I also change out rings and make color patterns etc.

We are advised to keep our planners in case a parent decides to sue us. In a city near me the parents went to court over custody & somehow the school got brought into it and the teacher had to supply her planner amongst numerous other things. Don't know much more than that but it hit home how legitise our society has become & we aren't even that bad from what I understand the US is like.

What if instead of using the two desks you just turned two of the tables to be diamonds instead of squares and that way you can add two extra seats to those tables and still have everyone facing the front? Love your room it’s so adorable!!

I love the vibes! I have plants in my classroom too and the kids love to measure the growth during science or break time. Also, maybe I am losing my mind but...is this the same school as Madison Campbell (2nd grade teacher)? I may have been watching too many classroom setup vlogs...

Do you take the guinea pigs home on the weekends?
I fill their food and water up before I leave on Friday! I am going in tomorrow but I think they will be okay if I leave them over the weekend! ☺️

The way teachers decorate their classrooms now a days sickens me, it’s one thing to decorate your homes with boho or farmhouse decor but in a classroom that’s ridiculous. Back in the days of my childhood teachers put school posters about feelings little classroom posters on how to respect one another but bringing in macro may and baskets to fill your wall space once again is good for your home but not for a kids learning environment!
Agree to disagree! Many teachers still include said rules and posters, but also allow their classrooms to be decorated in a comfy home vibe! Both students and teachers are spending hours upon hours, days upon days in this room. Why not make it homey? School is their second home. I’m sure Mrs Kellogg talks about respect and feelings in her classroom, but I don’t see anything wrong with the way she’s decorated. It’s beautiful and cozy! I’m sure her students will love her classroom in the coming year ❤️. I can’t speak for Mrs Kellogg, but Im sure she had success with her students last year! :)!
