If you're happy with listening to the same thing over and over for hundreds of hours then it's great, if you're expecting any level of plot progression you'll be jerked around and disappointed
@@patrickhector I'm gathering theres no plot progression, which i'm honestly fine with! they kinda didnt need to add the dark lord stuff at all really, and maybe could have tweaked the arnie trying to get home as more of a back and forth travel thing. as a podcast i wouldn't a plot to go anywhere unless it was like a DND campaign lol. it's a fun ride tho so i really don't mind! thanks for the heads up!

This is adorable, I love this. I want all of the rest of my magical Tavern pod casts animated thusly. It's pretty much just like what I see in my head anyway.
the first boys night was so magical. I want that same energy back again. The dudes have actually been to Earth, which should give them even more fodder for Earth confusion. Like let Arnold explain burned cd's or: netflix and chill, or hydroelectric damns, Tha Bears, corn dogs, bluetooth, manufactured obsoletism, reddit, job related health insurance (im sure arnie has experience there), evolution, isaac newton's rules of physics, video games like Legend of Zelda or Dark souls or Sims. I dunno, I like when Arnie does Earth stuff. He's always so quick with Earth stuff cause when he gets joke stumped he just says 'I dont wanna talk about Earth stuff.

He’s been doing this podcast for years before. Erin and JPC both play characters sometimes on the show too. There was even a HFTMT/HRR spin-off miniseries called “Hey Tavern Tavern”
@@joecab1 I know, Adal plugs Hello from the Magic Tavern almost every episode, it's a joke about recognising him from the newer/less popular/more niche property that he's in. It's even written in the same style of joke Adal makes on HRR often.

I'm trying so hard to get into magic tavern but I'm on like episode 15 and I have no idea where it's going. It feels super slow and directionless. I love Adal so I don't wanna drop it... anyone know when it starts picking up?

It really is just like that for the first half of season one, but once they find their groove and start fleshing out the world more it really starts to fill out. A lot of these early episodes become cornerstones and get called back to a lot/become reoccurring characters, so it’s worth just pushing through. The formula is basically just an improv talk show in a magical land though, so that’s what you kind of have to enjoy about it, the storyline is pretty secondary.
