Schafberg Mountain in St. Wolfgang & Wolfgansee Austria - (Schafbergbahn) - Austria Travel Vlog

Schafberghahn is Austria’s steepest cog railway and has been transporting tourists up the 1783-meter-high panoramic mountain since 1893.
To get to the summit of Schafberg mountain, take the Schafberg cog railway (Schafberghahn) and get off at the last stop called SCHAFBERGSPITZ.
You might need to buy a combo ticket that includes the cog railway and the boat ride to/from St. Gilgen. You get a discount if you hold a Salzkammergut card. You can get a Salzkammergut card if you stay at a hotel in the Salzkammergut region for at least 3 nights. After you visit Schafberg mountain, you can walk in St. Wolfgang town or take a ferry to St. Gilgen.

Thank you for watching and subscribing. I have been to Austria many times in different seasons. I used to live there a long time ago. My favorite month/season to visit Austria is September. This video was filmed in September. Vienna and Salzburg are also beautiful around Christmas time if you don’t mind the cold weather. I recommend avoiding summer.
