A woman that has literally travelled every country in the world still says "unbelievable", you know that means it is really BEAUTIFUL, thanks for the video Lexi!
I have been living in Vienna for six years. This city is just amazing and I highly recommend travelling there. Forget Venice, the true gem of europe is shown in this video.
What do you mean forget Venice 😂 they are completely different. I could have understand forget Paris (I agree in comparison to Vienna it’s just not enough) but Venice, come on
Thank you for creating a video about Vienna ❤ I'm Austrian myself and unfortunately a lot of people still get confused about Austria and Australia!! We are in the heart of Europe and have also so many other beautiful cities besides Vienna. But the best way to experience our country is to stay in the beautiful mountain regions!!
Ulli, I agree with you, I am from Australia, and when I am overseas people think I am Austrian even though my accent would in no way sound anything like yours. Vienna looks so beautiful as do the mountains, rivers and forests. I look forward to seeing them soon on my European holiday.
I live in Australia and often get confused thinking I am living in Austria. My snowman keeps melting and the strudel looks suspiciously like a pavlova.
I’m so keen to spend time in the mountains. I had to leave for South Africa to wait for my resident permit. It’s taking a while. But once I’m back, I’m seeing the mountains.
I am living in Vienna, so I needed to check what you saw here and how you liked it. Very nice, good job, Lexie! Hopefully next time you have more days to explore the city and of course, more of Austria.
Vienna is by far one of my favorite cities in Europe. I loved living in Budapest, Hungary a short train ride away and visiting my friend who was studying there. Cannot wait to go back!
Vienna is great. It was my first solo travel. And I was so lucky because I went to Vienna while they were celebrating the 150 years of the opera, and I was able to see a free amaaaazing concert 🤩
Oooooh it must have been absolutely magical around Christmas time. Did they have any amazing Christmas markets when you were there? That would be so cool to see!

Thanks a lot Lexie for doing our beautiful capital city justice! I've been waiting for your video since you asked for recommendations for the city. Thank you for the nice guide! I checked out ‘Glacis Beisl’ and had the same meal you recommended us, it was amazing! Also met the restaurant owner and told him about your video. Highly recommending Vienna to everyone, such a nice city. 😊
Vienna was my first international trip outside of North America! It was also my first solo trip (which I didn't realize then at 16), my parents had sent me to visit our foreign exchange student for a month and it was absolutely life changing. It was really great to see some of these sights again that I had forgotten about like the market! Can't wait to go back.
I bet the Architecture is unbelievably beautiful. Just look at that roof top tile artwork cathedral It's breathtaking! Oh yeah Lexie Limitless you look like Tomb Raider.
Been their a few times, and In my opinion one of the best cities in Europe, along with Budapest. Super cultured, really good food, especially their jam/chocolate cake. Also the smaller churches along their main street were really beautiful. Can’t forget the amazing galleries and parks. They also offer “pay whatever you feel” tours near the galleries as well. Should also try the university food set-ups in the summer.
This video has made me book my first solo trip! To Vienna! I am so excited! I am only going for two nights because it is my first time but thankyou for pushing me to do that!
At St. Stephans Cathedral there are two towers to climb. North and south. The northtower is the smaller one, so you'd get a better view from the south tower. Just a tip from a friendly viennese guy. But I should also mention that there is 343 steps to the top and no elevator 🥲
I loved, loved, loved your video!!! I lived in vienna for about 4,5 years and the city has everything one could imagine! If you ever visit Vienna in like summer/autumn, go to a “Heuriger”. It’s traditionally run by a family who produces their own wine and serves some viennese food, like schnitzel! It’s in the 19th district and everyone who wants to have a real austrian experience, you should check it out! Lexie, If you are in Vienna you got to do Budapest or Prague. Or if you want to stay within the country Innsbruck or Gratz. I love Austria but I might be biased as I was growing up in Hungary.
A couple of years ago I visited Vienna for 4 days. IT was part of a traintrip from my home to Berlin, Prague, Krakow to Vienna. I was a bit tired and I remember one lovely day at Schönbrunn and in the park with a book (IT was August). And also the jewels. I stayed a bit outside the center (my way to save money and experience local LIFE) and used public transport across the city. I also had a Vienna pass. If you want to visit a lot of musea etc I find that a tourist pass really helps me to Stay in budget and is cheaper than paying individual musea.

Nice video, like your style, keep them coming! 0:15 You mean "baroque" museums, right? For Renaissance I recommend Prague and Florence. 1:54 Meh, dont recomment that one really - would rather go into the opera or a concert hall and witness one of his compositions. If you are interested in music in general There is the House of Music and the Imperial Musical Instrument Collection. Sometimes the Museum of Technology has some very interesting expo on the subject aswell. 2:52 Thats actually the lower one of the two. ON that tower the most interesting thing is probably the Pummerin in the center, one of the largest free-hanging bells on the planet. You can also visit the South Tower, which is higher in elevation and has a nicer view over the city (also you are in a closed environment, if you are not good with heights). You can visit the catacombs of the cathedral aswell. 3:09 Debatable...I would argue the Danube Tower, Kahlenberg and the Wiener Blick gives you a better view. 4:17 Sorry darling, you are awesome but I have to disagree on this product. You are basicly paying to slightly flavour your pee, nothing else. If you order wine ask for a glas of water with it - a good restaurant should bring you one anyway. 6:30 Nice choice, a little explanation about the name. Glacis (the "s" is silent) was the area immediatly beyond the city walls, where for over 1000y it was strictly forbidden from building anything onto it. The grass there would get cut regularly. The reason for it was purely strategical, it an enemy soldier advanced, they couldnt hide. 7:40 There are aprox 200 museums in the city....would take a little bit longer then 3 days^^ 8:13 The only one I dont agree with is the Sisi Museum, also called the Imperial Apartments....I mean, if you are into it sure.....but I wouldnt put it in the top20. 9:40 I agree, but you are way too late^^ If you want the fresh products on these markets you need to be there at 7 - 9am.
