Not being able to sleep well at night if you don’t have a scarf on your head is such a unique to us experience 😭🫶🏽 my hair on the bare pillow feels like sitting bare-assed on a public toilet lmao. I’m also an all white bedding girlie so I’m very weary of oil stains from my hair to my pillowcases too. Its like not using coasters on wooden furniture at our big age. The adult shit that felt superfluous to us as kids was actually very necessary.
2 years later I was coming to say the same thing because I came across this video after coming home from getting my first silk press and bob cut for my birthday! I'm so excited and wanted tips on how to wrap shorter hair so really appreciate you demonstrating babe! It makes all the difference in the world❤❤❤
Thank you. This helped me a lot. I want to start silk pressing my natural hair for a minute and definitely needed some tips on how to wrap it at night. This was straight and to the point. Your hair is lovely by the way!
Omg this was so helpful!! I recently got a bob and the way you wrap your hair seems so much easier for me to accomplish than some of the other ways I’ve seen on here.
I am from Mississippi but live in San Diego. I have been wrapping my hair for years as well because I prefer the straight hair look. Sometimes my shower does get a little steamy so wrapping is a ritual lol.
I’m from Houston. San Diego’s humidity is nothing compared to the south. My silk press always lasts on SD. I’m Houston, it probably wouldn’t stand a chance. Lol
Great video, thanks. My biggest issue when I wear my natural hair straight is when the roots start to reverse - any tips on this?. Wrapping my hair to keep it flat is not enough to keep the roots straight. Thanks!!!🙏🏽
Thank you for watching! I honestly have the same struggle especially when the weather is humid & hot. I have learned to embrace it because my hair will always become more textured throughout the day because it’s still natural. The only real & long term solution in my opinion would be to chemically process it with a keratin treatment or relaxer (definitely not encouraging you to do so).
Thank you for your tips. I am just starting this new natural straight journey at least for the winter. I think I get more retention with this method. I have been a curly natural for 18 years, I want to change my natural because I cannot get length retention. My family grows long hair, but what I notice is that they straighten their hair or are aways in a protective style. I have done all of that. Question: What happens if I sweat at night? Will my hair being wrapped prevent it from going back? Will I have to get up at night to cool off? (I don't mind that if that is what is needed) It is all so very new. lol 🤪😝😄
Being a straight hair natural definitely has helped me with length retention & I tracking my growth. If you sweat at night, just make sure you wrap your hair well & the scarf stays on. If it comes off you def have to rewrap it to prevent it from reverting. But with night sweating, you’ll probably have some puffy roots. I still think it’s worth the journey!
Hi Chavi. I wanted to know where did you purchase your scarf ? I'm looking for a scarf like the one you featured or similar for my hair. Thanks a lot and very helpful video.

Wow just started watching your videos and your hair has grown so much ! I’m thinking about going straight natural bc the struggle is real 😅
It has grown! Straight natural is the best for me & I think you should explore it for yourself too ❤️
That bonding oil is great for silk pressed hair. I use it the same way.
It’s so good! Thanks for your comment ❤️

You really can’t skip it!
San Diego’s humidity doesn’t get to you? ?

Just started following you! This bob is giving rich housewife I love it! lol 💓
I literally have the exact same scarf had it since 2017!!! ❤
Great minds think alike ❤️
Where'd you get your scarf? It's so pretty!
Where can I buy the scarf? Single dad trying to maintain my daughter's hair. Went from braids last week to silk press.
This exact scarf is in my Amazon storefront (link in the description), in “Hair Products & Styling Tools”. Hope this helps!
What you use moisturize the end of your hair when it's straight?
I get moisture from my wash routine, the shampoo & conditioner I use. Check out my first wash day routine for more details!
This was very helpful, thank you ❣️
Glad you enjoyed 💕
I do the twist the scarf with the hair method as well 😂😂.. it really does work 💕💕
Yes it does 🤭
Step 1.wrap hair nightly
Step 2. move to California lol
Seriously though, this was so helpful
😂 you might have to because Cali weather is almost always silk press weather. Thanks for watching!
Great video! Quick question where did you get your necklace charm?
Thank you! I wish I could remember. It was from a small boutique. But I’m sure you can find something very similar online!
Thank you so much. You saved me 😅❤️

Okay but when I wrap my hair, my scalp gets hot and my roots reverse instantly cuz it’s too humid.
Very pretty hair!
Thank you!!
Ummm you saved me !! Thanks !!
Glad I could help! 😊
I live in the UK, girllll the humidity is constant 😂
How do you prevent it from getting oily after a week mine is oily and time for a wash
Mine naturally gets at little oily after a week too but it doesn’t bother me. & I do my wash day routine every 2 weeks.
U could use a little dry shampoo spray. I’ve seen some ppl use it on UA-cam and it works well when used right
I wouldn’t mind being a straight natural, but I sweat so much in my head.

@@ChaviAllie Thank you 💕
Any particular reason why u wrapped that way?
It’s the easiest way to wrap at this length, to make sure I catch all of the hair & smooth it out in the wrap.

I believe the scarf is from Amazon but it was a gift. I’m sure you can find something similar if you search for a satin scarf. Thank you for watching!
Invests in a wrap cap … i get mines form
The Dominicans salon
I’m going to look for one. Thanks for this!
I do this but put a bonnet on top cuz I’m scared the scarf will come off lmao
I’ve done this too! It works great, especially when you need to get some good good sleep. Lol
No sauna ? 😩
No boo lol

Hi! It’s in my Amazon storefront (link in description box) under hair products & styling tools!
