I have some tips: 1) Use the “WOW color pop heat protector Extreme” make sure the cap and the writing is Black when you buy it. It is a humidity, sweat proof heat protector too maje sure your silk press lasts 2) wrap your hair when working out
Your hair looks beautiful Shell! I remembered when you cut it into a bob and look at it now! Some questions: 1. What temp on your flat iron did you use? 2. How often do you silk press your hair? and 3. What hairstyles do you normally wear? I noticed that your hair is the same thickness from roots to ends. You can’t be one of the ponytail girlies…😂
I use between 400 and 430. I silk press every 3 weeks but I do take breaks and wear a v part wig or a blow out. I wear silk press and v part wigs. And tbh I wear a ponytail a lot lol just not buns which can cause the ends to thin. And Thank you!
@shelltalkshair have you ever tried the Wow dream coat before blowdry? I'm tempted to try the Amika bombshell spray but am on the fence, I like the wow.
Yes!! I live in Houston and I don’t even be wanting to try to straighten my hair let alone pay somebody else to straighten it so it can last all of 30 seconds from the time I step outside 😭
Your hair is very pretty! ❤ I’m learning that using heat isn’t bad. it’s all about keeping your hair conditioned. That Olaplex no. 3 or aphogee really helps my curls bounce back!
I'd love to see a tutorial on how fine haired should wrap their hair. Fine hair when unwrapped tend to want to stay in the shape of the wrap, so framing the face is a challenge.
Your hair is beautiful and healthy as always. You’re apart of what inspired me to become a straight natural in September and I’m loving it so far. What would you advise for someone on the journey to do to their hair for giving birth/ postpartum (I’m due in February)?
Take Vitamins or continue with your prenatal. Keep your internal health up. Don’t drastically change your diet but still eat healthy. Do styles that are low maintenance and not to much tension. Check with your doctor to make sure you have no vitamin deficiencies or any internal issues.
I love the fact that you are knowledgeable about healthy haircare AND you have your own head of hair to show for it. The proof is in the pudding 😍😍 what temp did you set your flat iron to?
Do you have any clients with gray dry wiry hair who have success with being a straight hair natural? I hear many say those with that hair type should avoid heat. Also, what are your thoughts on Keratin treatments and hair Botox treatments?
Hi, I love your channel and would like advice. I have medium/fine tightly coiled hair. I do have a regular blowdryer + concentrator nozzle, but I'm thinking about getting the Dyson Airwrap or SuperSonic... thoughts, please?
Hi Shell, how often would you recommend getting a treatment from professional hairstylist ? Im a straight natural half of the year the other half I alternate between braids and twist out (still blow out often) Thank you for this video filled with advices! xx
Heyyy God bless you love! I am from Florida and I would love to see a video about maintaining a silk press in humidity. (Also during workouts too if possible!) By the way, I started my new hair routine a couple of weeks ago. I’ll wear my hair in a blow out most of the time and I have only silk pressed once. However, I noticed that my hair curl pattern changed and I’m worried if I might’ve experienced some heat damage. I know my hair is now in the process of heat training and my curl pattern will probably loosen but I’m scared that maybe it happened too fast? Or maybe I might’ve over done it with the heat? Please let me know what you think🙏🏽 I need help!
I would love to know what leave-in conditioner everyone is using to moisturize and seal (that will not cause my hair to revert)? Previously I was using Elasta QP Mango Butter, but my hair does not like the new formula (seems to have too much protein).
Awsome video! So my hair is your length. I'm also a natural straight girlie. However my edges are thin from wrapping it. What are your suggestions on keeping the hair straight without wrapping it or protecting my edges?
@@MrsNicecamera I've searched this before & most women are wrapping their hair & just using either silk scarves or bonnets & they both rub your edges causing friction.

Your hair is beautiful 😍. I struggle to get the front of my hair as long as the back. Any tips?
I live in SC and the humidity here is tough on my natural hair. What flat iron would you recommend for a silk press at home?
You have beautiful long hair.😊
You are really pretty. You remind me of a cross between Keshia Pullium-Knight and LaTavia Roberson.
can you please do the video for the humid areas I live in Texas and I swear as soon as I walk outside my hair reverts 😂😭
Looks beautiful!!!! What a blessed crown!
This is just what I needed. Thank you!

I love the fact that you are knowledgeable about healthy haircare AND you have your own head of hair to show for it. The proof is in the pudding 😍😍 what temp did you set your flat iron to?

Nice retention. How often do you use your product line on your own hair? Can you make a video with your products when you get a chance?
Yes once I rebrand and restock! I always use my own products. I do treatments but I’ll still use my products with them.
❤❤ yay okay I’m excited ! I had been watching the website waiting for a restock. Can’t wait to see the rebrand.

Do you moisturize your hair daily or weekly and if so how do you do it?
What heat do you use on your hair for your silk press and how many passes do you typically do? How often do you do your silk press/wash your hair?
I use between 400 and 430. I silk press every 3 weeks but I do take breaks and wear a v part wig or a blow out. I only do 1 pass with the iron.
@@shelltalkshairdo you have a video of how you install a v part wig? I just ordered one

Did you use heat protectant?

Hi Shell where can we find your products?
