    This really helped. This is the first time my fry scream has been really loud and consistent. I feel like I’m using a lot of compression and squeezing to transition from Kargyra to the fry. Will I be able to do this with out as much pressure the more I practice?

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  Рік тому +1

      I am happy the video was helpful!
      "Will I be able to do this with out as much pressure the more I practice?" - sure but it can take from a couple of weeks to a few months. Various muscles have to adapt to creation of such a type of sound and it requires time and practice.
      From what I observe, fry scream created by a transition from kargyraa or distortion requires more effort than the one depending on a vocal fry, compression and head voice. It's probably because of the higher volume and intensity.
      Do you have any recordings with your fry scream? It will be easier to tell if it's free from unnecessary pressure and constrictions.
      If yes, feel free to send me them on email - xvocalcenter@gmail.com :)

    Would you say this fry method is better than the classic glottal compression scream from vocal fry?

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  Рік тому

      I would say that it's different. The classic methods are still effective for some of my students but I developed at least 6 or more totally different ways for learning how to fry scream. For each of student a different method turns out to be more effective.

    Is it possible to add just a little fry over a clean tone to get a kind of sandpaper tone?

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  Рік тому +1

      Yes, it's possible to learn a delicate distortion that way. The sound won't be too loud, especially during first days or weeks of practice.

    Witam
    Jak długo dziennie ćwiczyłeś na początku jeśli można spytać

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  Рік тому

      Za długo :D A konkretniej od 1,5 do 4 h kilka razy w tygodniu (na codzienne ćwiczenia nie miałem czasu, bo ogarniałem szkołę i robotę). O wiele lepiej sprawdzał się system, w którym ćwiczyłem ok. 45 minut co drugi dzień. Oprócz tego miałem też 2 zespoły i próby z każdym z nich raz w tygodniu po 2 godziny.
      Podsumowując - na samym początku ćwiczyłem zbyt długo i zbyt intensywnie, a poza tym moja technika była daleka od idealnej, przez co mój progres nie był aż tak dobry, jak wtedy gdy zacząłem ćwiczyć krócej, mniej intensywnie, ale za to dokładniej.

    • @sibilaextremevocal
      @sibilaextremevocal  Рік тому +1

      Hello, it depends on the level of discomfort. If you feel like your voice is still in a process of getting used to making specific sounds but it doesn't cause pain, coughing, feeling of something being swollen in the throat and your voice isn't cracking and distorting when you speak after the practice, then it can be something quite normal.
      If you feel pain, irritation, you cough or your voice cracks without will and your falsetto seems to disappear somewhere, then it means your technique needs improvement.

    • @sibilaextremevocal

      I see, it's very good that you mentioned it! In the beginning it would be great to learn as much as possible about your natural voice - comfortable range, your own sound color and level of volume.
      Doing voice emission exercises that focus on getting in touch with your own voice and connecting it with a proper breath support and resonance will be very helpful.
      Here 2 videos that can be use useful for you:
      Exercises to set and warm up your voice:
      m.ua-cam.com/video/rV78H2Bx-U0/v-deo.html
      More information about the breath support amd some exercises (the exercises will be very similiar to the ones from the warm up video):
      m.ua-cam.com/video/hNcRs3hfgqA/v-deo.html
      When it comes to the fry scream method presented in this video, it's important to learn at least basic distortion. You can find a link to the tutorial in the description of this video.
