I don’t understand why people pick the Black Knife over the Glintstone Kris. I mean sure the Black Knife looks cooler and all, but the Kris is unquestionably the most powerful of all the daggers. With the right build, you can easily pop 3K damage in one shot of the AoW.
Even though they’re mostly in the same area, I think more people found the black knife. Also I guess any build can use it to pop 10% off a boss, where the Kris requires an INT build. In any case, this is just reasons why I think more people used the black knife, but the Kris is definitely waaay better.
Yeah with the right build. There is only one dagger, ney only one weapon that you can pick up, not upgrade it at all, not level up at all and beat half the game while having only average skill. And that is Reduvia. After the last changes where they added damage on the blade during the ash it just melts everything. You can comfortably clear altas and the capital all the way to the top of the tree, the snake boy in volcano manor, the underground areas and most of the rot hell except the gargoyle at the end before you even start worrying about your build. The black knife winning over reduvia is insane. People even talking about the Glinstone kris is beyond insane, that dagger is not even top 5.
Just finished a SnF sword playthrough, and I have to say: it completely shook me to my core. The weapon, although having a high skill ceiling, is incredibly powerful. No joke I killed (real) Mogh and Radagon in like 20 seconds . With the right build, the azure comet aow was doing upwards of 6k damage a pop. On the other hand, the flame aow will always hit malenia and deal 3.5k damage; if you play the fight safe at mid range waiting for her to chill out, it literally becomes a joke of a fight.
One thing that I think will always paint these kinds of polls is; people who used these weapons on a first playthrough or while using one of the early “get OP” builds. There are tons of ways to break ER: and a lot of people got through the launch period using one form or the another. But patches and testing are too scientific of a way to gauge how the community feels about weapons lol

True. Also the picks put in the polls don't even cover all the weapons so good stats, basic weapons get left behind. The broadsword has the best scaling by a mile from all straight swords but its not even in the polls.
For me a good secondary effect will make me put a weapon higher, this is why I picked the Black Knife, the added utility sets it apart from the other daggers. I can just slap Glintstone Pebble onto a dagger for something similar to the Glintstone Kris, however I can't say the same about the Black Knife.

BB is easier to get, does fire damage(easy to buff)has good scalling and an op aow +looks cooler(in m'y opinion)
Rivers of blood is definitely better than nagakiba. Bleed is just broken no matter how you look at it. Its still cheese and even if it way weaker its just always going to be good
Nagakiba can do more bleed than Rivers of Blood and can have basically the same ash of war
@@Vengeance_I_m lower range on AoW than corpse piler + no heat + bleed damage combo, the extra range only matters for normal attacks, if youre building for the skill only, corpse piler > nagakiba double slash
@@soroushkowsarian3364 Nagakiba outputs much more damage and consumes less FP
