I saw the documentary when it first came out and also loved it. First, because I am a Beatles fan. Second, because I am a fan of the studio, and have paid attention to it for decades. Noting all the artists who have used it. And last, I am a Mary McCartney fan, having had a huge crush on her for decades. LOL
@@marcofalzone6469 They have a segment discussing the recording for their first album (with Syd Barrett) but they probably talk more about Dark Side Of The Moon. These segments include archival footage and new interviews with Roger Waters, David Gilmour and Nick Mason
The Beatles and Apple are setting the gold standard for releasing whatever archival footage and unreleased recordings left in the vaults. More Legacy Bands should jump on that bandwagon. I would like to see some sort of documentary from the Beatles from their stay in India, because I know it was filmed at the time.
You’re drinking the kool-aid if you think The Beatles/Apple are “setting the gold standard” for archival releases. We’re getting 15% of what they actually have. Other bands do a much better job like The Beach Boys for instance. They’re not afraid of their mistakes in the studio or live performance.
@@sunshinecoolwater9528Which makes your statement all the more confusing knowing what could be done yet what The Beatles absolutely refuse to do. Get Back remastered was a revelation for that reason but otherwise we have nothing but 1 minute snippets of The Beatles on drugs doing half baked covers or low effort takes from 67-70 when there is SO much more available that we just haven’t heard. The Beach Boys have at least given us DVDs and boxsets of material for the last 30 years unlike The Beatles.
I am not a big fan of Christian Rock, but I have heard some of his early albums because (at the time) one of my brothers was into him and I did like a lot of his songs.
I enjoyed this when it first came out. I do think trying to shoe horn Elton John in with his various tenuous links to the studio; Much less than Jimmy Page.

Thanks for the heads-up.
Pink Floyd SHOULD be amply represented in this Doc. I'd be surprised if they are glazed over.
I thought they were very well represented. They talked about them recording their first album and Dark Side.
@@TJRtheOriginal cool. How about Syd and their first album?

@@TJRtheOriginal haha ok. Sorry I misread your reply. I must watch this documentary. Thanks.

@@BuffaloBeatle My avatar literally comes from a Beach Boys archival release.
There is a film about this...but I don’t think it’s authorized thebeatlesinindia.com

Sounds interesting. I'm going to check it out.
TJR, do you have any Larry Norman LPs, i feel u may enjoy his early LPs

Tenuous? He took part in the recording session for “He Ain’t Heavy (He’s My Brother), that was at Abbey Road Studios.....Or did I miss something?
@@TJRtheOriginal and what else? My point is that he had way too much visibility for his extremely minor part of the story.
.......nah....waste of time......don't bother...........
