People are tripping about the price but they were $100 in 1999, which is like $180 today.
These used to be THE dream shoe for me back in the '90s! Crazy to see them coming back. I might have to grab a pair just for the nostalgia.

EDIT: The D3 was probably the most popular skate shoe of all time and you either loved them dearly, or absolutely hated the sh*t out of them.. and the people who wore them lol

eS is tapping in to something special, props to them for putting out these Muska's and the Penny 2. There are so many shoes from the old school I would love to get my hands on, I wish Emerica would get on this legacy train, they also had so many good shoes. Gimme that chunky stuff.

Idk itd be cool if companies made some shoes that had new tech anf a new look that were unique and effective for skating but inspired by the oldones

Yes they never tried to change anything that's why it worked it brought us all back to how we fell in love with skateboarding in the first place

I got the Eos and the Tom Penny ones since they re released...the og black suede Eos was the best shoe I ever skated..the soles are still as good on the new ones....Es are killing it right now...very well made shoes
Bro I just got the black Eos (to skate) as well as both colorways of the Muska. Wanted the gray Creagers, but not trying to spend anymore on shoes and decks 😂😂😂. I almost buy the Penny’s everyday but stop myself.

I was born in 84 I was skating hard when these came out in jr high. I could never afford em so I only skated in vans… I may have to grab some. Just got a new job also. Can’t wait!

Had the Red/Blk ones black in ‘99. I felt like the King of 7th grade for a day. I threw on the red laces too.
The OG pair got me into skating. Grey and blue all day 💙

when the koston 1s and muskas dropped around the same time , those shoes were from the future , or space , they were so unique.
Just got both colorways and I can say that they are perfect! Fit true to size and are completely faithful to the original. Thank you Es for doing it right ♥
Pretty much are except for the lace locks, and insoles. They’re a great touch, but I don’t remember them on the OG’s.
I found a pair of Chet Globe IV’s years ago from CCS I believe.. I fucking love those shoes.. hands down the best I ever had. These look great!
My friends mom bought him two pairs of Chet IV’s and they lasted him 3 years. Of actual skateboarding.
Totally wish they would bring back the big chunky shoes again. With lots of brands. Miss the hell out of them
I missed this shoe but did have some Circa Muskas, back in like 2000. I like what they've done with these and that they worked with Chad, to get them how he wanted them.
Bring back the original Etnies CZAR and Vallaley. Those were my favourites back then

The footage of muska from fulfill the dream just leaves the beat in my head.
Being able to get one of the Shorty's x Muska silhouette decks, a couple years ago, was an honor. I was able to cop the red and blue from the 1st drop (not the signature vers. I don't have it like that lol) and I skated the red one. Holding on to the blue one...might just have to cop the gray pair of the shoes to go with it for a display. I'm all for skating the shoes, too, but it's Muska - he's iconic in more than one way, and if anyone deserves to have his stuff displayed on a wall, it's Muska. So buy 2 pairs of the shoes, one to skate and one to save because it's Muska.
I copped the blue Rising Sun last month and then a few days later the és rerelease drops. I couldn’t believe it man. I got the grey/blue first then the breds as soon as they hit CCS. I can’t bring myself to skate the rising sun but I skated the blue/greys. I felt like Muska in 97 haha. Except I’m riding an 8.38 😂😂😂. Congrats on the getting those silhouette decks bro. I wish I was skating again when they dropped.
Was gunna pre-order some but just didnt have the cash. Still stoked to see them finally release though and the signed ones Muska has on his site are dope.

those mike v etnies were the very first skate shoes i ever saw and wore. my best friend growing up had them and i was so jealous
Had two pairs of the Mike V. Loved all the rubber in them. It felt like they lasted longer
I had a pair when I was a younger too, I’d definitely skate them again.
Don’t quote me on this but I’m pretty sure I remember seeing something about those being re issued as well. Keep your eyes out. They were great shoes. Maybe check The Dark slide?

The Koston 1s already out but called the 197s. Unfortunately they use a different thinner midsole. The uppers fit different and are weirdly tapered at the toe because of the slimmed down midsole which cause the toebox to crease up weird. Props to Don, company, and es but it woulda been nicer if they switched to and remade the OG midsole whether it be the non 02 version, g2s, or the 02s. They went all out with the recent 1:1 (or pretty damn close) OG Creager re-release and had an OG 02 midsole, and these 1:1 Muskas, which is sad because the upcoming Koston 2 aka 298 is sole swapped too and not a 1:1 upper - they look weird to me.
Pretty awesome but NOT for 150. I had a plan to buy all the colors and hold onto them for nostalgia but not for 150. That inside material color of the red and blacks is too light too.
