i skate the converse ctas pro mid top, there by far my longest lasting skate shoes, the rubber toe cap is super strong, i just ripped it last week but it still flicked good, the grip is now wearing out and I’ve been skating them for 4 months

I dug into eBay and found a cheap pair of NOS World Industries cupsole shoes, cause I'm old and my feet hurt all the time... I also have a pair of Adidas Tyshawn mids, and a pair of DC Manteca 4 Zero Wastes. I have a bunch of older Vans that I unfortunately can't fit into anymore, cause of my feets bein' swollen... 😮💨

I was walking until last Sunday with the Nike Blazer GT Low, incredible Boardfeel but I ended up hurting my heel while maneuvering and I wore my Vans Wayvee for today's ride and it was sensational in terms of comfort, I had no heel pain. Waiting for Rowan 2 to arrive here in Brazil 🛹🔥👟🔥🇧🇷🤘🏻.
I have the old shoe and love it, not so sure about a bigger beefier shoe. Would have to try them on, also I prefer them in all black.

The Rowans were the best shoes I've ever skated (and I've been skating since D3s were big 😅)... so these look just bomb. But hell naw, I can't afford $150... I'm going to wait 'til they hit the outlet. 🤟

Favorite vans pro model .....I'll have to go with the rowley xlt . Close 2nd Def lizzie high....can't get enuff of this shoe . Grabbed em just to add to the collection . No real plans to wear them , now they are My go to every day pair

I still think the Berle Pros are the best skate shoe ive ever skated i currently have 15 pairs, 6 still in boxes. Hopefully they make the Berle Pro 2 since they also have the Chima 2
But this shoe looks alr6ill have to give it a go
These soles definitely feel similar to the Berle. Not sure why they shoe got discontinued so fast, cause it sold pretty well for us! 🤷🏻♂️

I would never buy these market price just too much. I got Rowan and they are my favorite skate shoe so far between my s8 hi’s, old schools and converse and i am sure these new ones are just fantastic.
Yea I think they’re the highest price Vans shoe we’ve ever had. But I think the tech kinda matches the price (kinda dunk price with more tech). But I definitely get it, buying a cheaper less tech shoe if you’re skating a lot and destroying lots of shoes. 🙏👊 Love hearing your feedback!

I think it's cool that Vans is making tech shoes again after milking the cash cow with the simple retro shoes for so many years now.
But to me this narrow look is pretty ugly. And I can't imagine my foot would feel great in such a narrow shoe. Why don't they make the toe box wider? Also I would like it to be a bit more padded on the top with a wider lace path.
I just want vans to make a comfortable skate slip on. They can keep this Ross sale rack looking sh*t
A cupsole slip would be sick, i guess they technically have that with the BMX slip but like a skate model one would be cool
Appreciate the comment haha I like hearing people’s honest opinions on stuff. I like the look of these a lot after seeing Rowan skating them they grew on me.
But one of the most common pieces of feedback we get is people want cup sole versions of the classics. I’d die for some waffle cup Half Cabs but they refuse to make them haha

Don't love the look, but think the black is the better of the two. Loved the Rowan 1 and will likely pick up a couple pairs before they disappear. Don't doubt these will be popular, but don't LOOK like Vans, looks like a Nike.

I don't get the vans hype, their shoes are rubbish. Had the original Rowans, after a couple of skates so much stitching came undone the checker skate tag fell out. Also, the rubber sole started falling out, the foxing tape became unglued in large sections resulting in rocks, gumnuts (Aussie thing) and sticks getting stuck between the foxing and sole. I could go on... And they were the most expensive pair of shoes I've skated in.
PS. Love the vids, keep up the good work.
Vans must be more expensive in AUS, I almost exclusively have been skating the Rowan in the states for the past year and they have been lasting me a while before the foxing starts to give, and I can get them for $60-70 usually
ALways appreciate the feedback! Stoked you like the vids!! 🙏🙏 I find any vulcanized shoe falls apart faster than a cup. But it’s sacrifice you make for lots of grip and board feel. Honestly, if you still have that pair you should email a photo to Vans with some details of what made you dislike em, they’re usually pretty good and sorting you with a new pair.
@@FrackaLacka for reference retail price in AU$... Rowans are $150, 440s $140, blazers $120, dunks $160. So, they're a pretty high price for vulcs. Happy to hear you've had a better experience than me.
@@ShredzShop in recent times I've skated vulcanised shoes from many brands including Nike, new balance, Adidas, lakai and they were all considerably more durable. Maybe I just got a dud pair, maybe they got baked in the shipping container on their way over.

Sole looks similar! Definitely a beefier sole that Berle that’s takes a little longer to break in, I think higher impact cushioning.
