i feel so sorry for his paranoia! and he repeated the exact same lines in another interview he must be tired of talking about it
The creators of this show did definitely get lucky with him.
Show is great.
I can totally understand that this must have been a mindfuck for him.
He was casted so not all luck but definitely still pretty lucky
Whats it called?
@@Muslim_Student jury duty. It's absolutely hilarious
I binged all eight episodes. That is the best series! Ron is such a genuine person!
This was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. I watched it twice in one day lol
@@mclovinlife4018what was so good abt it? It’s on my watch list
@@SupernaturalLove100its the truman show irl
I did the same thing!! 😂 Now when I'm doing something, I'll think of something from the show and have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard
"Truman Show-ed"
That's a great way to put it!
Wow this sounds like a scary experience. It was the Truman Show irl for him
I didn’t even think about that reference before, that actually makes so much sense, literally everything was fixed, must’ve been a crazy experience, glad he was able to readjust and be apart of this cool experience all around and make some new friends through it!
This guy is such an awesome dude!
This Guy is an outstanding Human! Such a Mensch!
Nicest guy on the planet
I laughed so hard when they showed him watching the film. He reminds me of jim from the office
Oh my gosh - he does!!
Props to the guy by remaining normal after living in a tv drama
To think.. he can literally sue 😂 I know he won’t but that’s some mental stress they put him on. The concept is genius and I’m sure it’ll win awards but I doubt there’ll be more like this. It’s a liability.. this dude is coo as person, imagine if they would’ve gotten an asshole? Production would be in trouble and a possible crime(maybe). Who know but overall, it’s my favorite series. It’s just so good and you can’t help to like the guy. 👏👏👍🏼 well done. The office ppl did it again, another masterpiece
I mean, there has been more like this in the past. But yeah it’s not exactly the most repeatable show ever lol
@@WackMaDino really? What other show? Not like just a prank show right, I mean “the jury” it’s like an onion, multiple layers lol looking for another show like that so if you can recommend any 👍🏼
@@riogc3257 The Joe Schmo show is the most obvious comparison, pretty much the exact same concept but a reality show instead of a jury. Superstar USA is also somewhat similar although i’m not sure if I can recommend it since its way more mean in its execution.
@@WackMaDino 👍🏼thanks I’ll check it out
This doesn't seem fun, I feel bad for his experience and there will always be a part of him wondering if things are real. It sucks if they tried this with other people who didn't approve and consent but were messed up by it and we just don't know their stories. And even if it didn't air, it would sucks to be in someone's footage like that and the focal point.
I saw the Truman Show and i was paranoid af! Cant imagine going through this 😂 He handled it like a champ tho!
Yeah bro people who go through this needs therapy. seriously. He could sue if he wants to
Sue for what?
yeah, thats what i thought
He is such a sweetheart
I always wondered "Why do people watch Truman in the Truman Show?" Now I know lol
He was Truman showed.Great way to phrase it. Loved him. So sweet and genuine!
Dude didn't even need to work after winning $100k lol.
It’s taxed
That is only one year salary
I actually felt quite bad for him, when the reveal came.
Living your life, playing by all the rules, and then finding out it was all an illusion. Everyone was straight faced lying to him. It was like finding out, someone has been cheating on you, all summer long.
A pretty awful feeling.
Triggering, I would say.
I loved this show. They made a good decision hiring him and I am really glad he ended up getting 100k for it.
Crazy
I mean, I'm sure he could sue for millions.. But he won't because he's so nice
I mean he signed up for a documentary so..
They better pay his therapy
this is a fucked up prank but the fact that he was such a good relatable guy it worked 😂
Wow
Real life Truman show
I think he should’ve been paid a lot more then 100k😂
He's sooo hotttt!
can't understand why he never recognised anybody lmao.. it's funny AF😂
That’s so messed up :(
Great show but they pretty much kidnapped him, idk how they got away with it. He probably signed a post contract with big $
In the show, when they reveal it was fake, they also revealed that he was getting paid 100k. He even was part of the extra cast commentary that they recorded like a year later and has revealed that he's ok
@THEMATTHIAS225 ya i just finished it. I feel like he could have sued them for more than 100k though if he didn't sign something afterwards.
@@rogerrabbit8304 he’s probably getting more with residuals and stuff too. As others pointed out, he knew he was gonna be on TV and all that, and even when you go to jury duty there’s always a legit chance you are sequestered. He had time to tell people and get his stuff in order (like him selling his stock options lol) but at the end of the day, he wasn’t totally unaware or kidnapped anymore than the OJ jury was.
I want to know how he got into it though. Like where did they find him then?
A call went out asking for volunteers to take part in a documentary about Jury Duty. This show the ad in the final episode.
@@travelwell6049 no it was a Craigslist listing about a documentary on jury duty
Craigslist . Lol
The thing is. He thought he got to know people but nothing was real. That made me sad, all the memories are "fake" and it is mean to do this to someone. The series was good. But moraly very dark
As I thought. It fuckes him up. Shouldve sued for emotional damages.
I’ve been wondering how he dealt with this, it’s pretty evil of Amazon to do this to a person for entertainment and not give him solid closure or a paid mental health professional, it would ruin my peace of mind
Lawsuit pending 😂
I still don’t get how this is fully legal? Forging documents and making someone think they have to show up somewhere or go to jail, just for a prank? Don’t get me wrong I love the show, but it does seem a bit unethical😅
I actually hate shows like this because being autistic this would make me feel so humiliated, hurt, and paranoid.
That's completely fair, but that's also why the process of finding the right guy for the show was so rigorous. It's like choosing people to be astronauts, you have to have just the right people
I am convinced Ronald knew, I am not buying it at all. Anybody else?
I don’t understand how he didn’t catch on earlier. There are so many recognizable actors in the cast, even if they’re B-listers. They must have done a thorough questionnaire to see what media he’d consumed to know what actors to hire, but even then some of these people are all over UA-cam, not just TV and film.
This is really fucked up I don't understand why he is not mad and sueing
I mean would u be mad if u were handed 100k dollars.
@@fluffiddy6515 if they made think cameras are following me everywhere yea
@@y.p.4490because he signed up for a documentary. Not everyone is as fragile as you. He also got 100k and a great experience.
@@y.p.4490Yeah, that's why they screen for someone like Ronald who is chill and not going to sue
i mean im pretty sure the 100k dollars settled the problems, plus he made friends with the cast (at the end of the show it shows us that)
And he will never be alone again, he will not have economic problems in the future cause he is friend with a bunch of rich people lol and one of them being fckn cyclops lol
this honestly makes me so angry. how the modern world we live in today is willing to trick a normal, chill guy into this manipulative scheme just so that it’s entertaining for people to watch? that’s fucked up man. i hope ronald is doing alright
It was a great show lol...and James is too funny and a great dude lol.
