Realistically, suppressors actually increase the velocity of the projectile by allowing more of the powder to burn and pressure to build up behind the projectile as it finally exist the suppressor. However, the recoil of the weapon becomes much more stout and the weapons internals suffer from significantly higher carbon buildup as a result.

The increase in speed (measured in fps) a successor can give is really negligible. Also worth stating in a real scenario a suppressor is used with sub-sonic ammo which is a significant decrease in speed

Hi Jack. I design oil rigs and refineries for a living (now wind farms as well). It's not like a mast with sails on like a ship so we'd normally just call it a comms tower. If you ever do find yourself in a situation where you need to know about oil rigs happy to help. The one in CoD is a lot more realistic than the Breakaway one

Haha this is great Jack, especially for someone that likes to use DMRs despite their viability not always being the best. I literally just installed this game a couple of days ago because it was free on EAplay. I've been having a great time with the classes because I'm not the greatest FPS player any longer and using the elderly lady allows me to feel useful on the battlefield. I swap out the medkit for a smoke gun and run around providing cover, and reviving teammates.

Honestly bro when I play this game I definitely appreciate players like you , I've tried the different classes and I'm best at assault I've tried the different types of classes and I don't really bring much to the table unless I play on assault but the medics are definitely appreciated especially when your in deep in enemy territory and fighting for that sector
I'm 64 I'm a support guy.
But I run assault rifle.
Love blowing stuff up.
Just a tip from a fellow Falck main- go ammo box instead and equip smoke nades. Not only do you now refill team ammo and gadgets, but you have infinite smoke grenades. Have fun! o7

I love how chill you are in battlefield, sometimes im really struggling especially after getting killed by vehicles over and over. Not really raging, but still not as laid back as you.
I wish I could be a masterflanker like Jack. Whenever I try to flank there are 20 people flanking my attempt to flank lol.
I've been playing Boris a lot more as of late. I've always loved being an Engineer, but being able to hold down a post or tossing out a turret to defend me while I'm repairing a tank is just really fun. Likely not super practical because of the dmg that the turret does and the load-up time, but it's still fun to play around with it.

@@hisammy3969 I think many gamers need that reminder these days. I can't stand having to sweat every match I get into just to compete, so I've been messing around with weird loadouts and different ways of playing. 😅
It is pretty epic to see you get in the top 5 from mostly just revives. Like even in the middle of checking out the landscape or physics of the game

I have the feeling that when a Supressor is equiped on a gun, the gun loses a lot of precision. Congrats for 4m!!! You've been helped me and giving so much nice gameplay since 2013 when i discovered bf3.

I've been using Casper, and I only ever played assault specialists before this update. With the new tugs thing you can just pop it down whenever your sensor suite detects movement. I then used a silenced sniper, marksman rifle or shotgun. With having a spawn beacon too, you can dominate an objective with multiple people on it quite easily.

Reminds me of the good'ol HK417 marksman rifle from BF3. That thing was insane when it arrived
I think its a good thing they went realistic on that gun, suppressors give more barrel length by theory and it helps with bullet velocity and by having more velocity it has more bullet penetration, a 308 can be very effective against armor because its bullet velocity by default, for me this is how it should be, I play Dayz so this is normal for me in that scenario, of course this is based in future warfare so they can do what ever they want.

Thinking back, didn't the M39 behave the same way in BF3, it became a proper sniper when you added the suppressor? Maybe it was a different DMR, but I know at least one of the BF3 DMRs had a completely different damage profile with a suppressor.
The pole that supports a catenary system for electrified rail is a “mast.” It is just another word for a sticky-uppy thing that supports other stuff.
I've been playing more Support now as I feel without classes previously it didn't matter, but now I can actually be the squad medic and focus on that; Supporting people. :p
Jack, believe it or not there are silencers or suppressors if you will, that can increase velocity. They do it with a chamber designed to reduce friction of the bullet as it exits the barrel and then the suppressor. I only know this from watching video on the subject.

I've pretty much exclusively been using Falk. The heals and fast res ability are just too good. One of those things you really miss when playing another class.

Bullet velocity is increased with a suppressor which would in turn make the kinetic energy of the projectile greater and therefore be more deadly.
Since the class update I’ve been playing a lot of flak more. You got ammo and heals for everyone. Best op to date
I really love this game. It’s my take a break from Tarkov game. Just wish it wasn’t so meh. Breakthrough is a personal favourite game type.
Could be something in the update that gives suppressors an extra bit of headshot multiplier. Could experiment with other guns
After the class update I came back to the game. I’ve always played medic in every other Battlefield. I choose Falck because I typically 90% of my games top frag, so I can keep myself alive while also keeping my teammates alive with me. 😊

The suppressors on the portal weapons super nerf bullet velocity.
It would only make sense realistically because it's increasing barrel length and more pressure built up behind the bullet giving it more velocity to do more damage. That's what I got but again if realistically the gun looking like a M14 or MS16 shooting a 7.62 NATO caliber it would be a One-Shot kill to the Head with or without a suppressor but yeah. Crazy.
Makes sense supresors increases muzel velocity witch would increase the force of the bulet

I have a feeling the hit reg on the classic weapons needs to be looked at like no matter how many times you shoot them with a certain gun they dont die, but yet if you were to shoot them with the actual 2042 guns they would beam them without recoil
MP9 with close quarter ammo+foregrip(+compensator) is a lazer beam as an example
The accuracy is rough and hard to hit where you're aiming. It destroys in up close narrow battles though on Manifest.
It’s a silencer since it silences the enemy with one taps.
I've been having a ton of fun using Lis and the Engineer class as a whole.
I mainly use Angel now. I've had a few situations using others that I've need ammo and struggled to get any and it seems you don't pick up as much from downed players and end up getting caught out
I've been playing falck and Crawford. Healing teammates, smoking pushes to objectives, and repairing vehicles.
That gun has a special hidden perk that makes Jacks aim like a regular persons.
I think the issue with the accuracy is that the gun recoils before the shot is fired, or at least it seems that way a few of the times you shot during the video

I've just started playing as Rao, never used to like him but he's become an absolute unit!
Seems like the accuracy drops off significantly when your fire rate is higher. But if you keep a decent buffer between shots it’s rather true to where you’re aiming.

I always use Rao for support even if I’m playing an smg or assault rifle because I get the spawn beacon and anytime someone shoots me I know exactly where they are which is good if I’m always around cover

Yes, the tower on an oil rig is in fact called a mast, and yes technically some oil rigs are "ships"
Oil rigs are basically classed as a vessel since they're capable of navigation
I wanted to try the emr when breakaway rework dropped and still haven't gotten online to do it. Figured it would be patched by now. Maybe I have something to do later.
I'm playing Falk as support, with the ability to heal, revive and re-supply. Angel isn't as useful as he once was now that you can't change loadouts on the fly anymore, plus no more amour. Boris or Liz as Engineer and haven't really put the time into the game lately to try more.
I hope they make a BF 2142 sequel someday.
