@@ryukii2079 no but they got him to record the bass for Hail Stan and Mix & Master the album and I would imagine the same will happen with P5 as Nolly very much helps everybody achive the way the band sound and how everybody wants to sound. He is Periphery in a way.
That tone is so phat that it can clog my arteries and I'd still die a happy man. Really glad to see nolly being affiliated with the band, even he doesn't tour with the guys!!
Nolly is the bollocks!! He's just as incredible on guitar too...what I would give for one thousandth of his talent (and ear for a f**kin amazing tone!!). Love you dude, keep the good sh*t coming! :)
@ Make total Destroy got me into the Djent genre as a whole and the Meshuggah influence on Periphery eventually led me to my favorite band which is now Meshuggah. Without Periphery bridging that gap in my understanding I never get there. I love Periphery too I just understand their influences now as well. It’s just like Allan Holdsworth I don’t probably begin to try to understand what’s happening without Thordendal introducing me to some of the technique.
@@thehairygulllol I completely get it, Reptile got me to check out more Periphery then Meshuggah and now Meshuggah’s my #1. Meshuggah, Tesseract, Periphery, just levels ahead.
Got the NG-3 version and have never looked back. There are obviously other awesome basses but I always felt that for what they are built for (especially the NG-2; the NG-3 is surprisingly versatile) you can't get a objectively better bass. As said there are other basses up there too but this one is top-tier imo
He is a fucking master! One thing I can't get over is his string action height. My basses are Dingwalls too and I have one of his signature basses.....but man my action is so low! I guess everyone has their style...NG is a fucking GOD! ANd yeah...the tone...every soundman I have play for compliments me on "That fucking bass tone of yours...that tone"
What a cacophony! They say that silence is an important part of music, but in this case, it was the most important part. Having said that, I did really enjoy two moments in this piece. The one just before it started, and the one right after it ended.
Misha needs to kick everyone out of Periphery except the drummer, and bring back Nolly. Then find a decent singer, I can think of like 10 UA-camrs better than their current singer.
my favorite part was when Nolly looked mildly interested
Then you hated the whole video
He looks like he could be scrambling eggs.
@@dngrouscrgo 😝🤣😂
His tone is absolutely nuts!
His nuts are absolutely tone!
Periphery 5: the search for nolly
Is he still in the band ?

@@bazasulli4975 Im sorry I recently got into them? Why did he leave?

This was the song that made me really start listening to Periphery, that album really changed my musical taste
Nolly is my favorite Periphery bro, and that's saying alot because they're all extremely talented.
I'm a drummer but man this is so JUICY I'd a blessing to listen to. Nolly for the win.

Thanks for developing my love of Meshuggah, this song was my very first step
But this is a periphery song?

Nice swapping in and out the pick. Very smooth. Pick/tap/slap. That's a whole lot of practice.
4 people got their ears torn apart by sheer bass power
Can confirm. I had one pair of these ears. All I can hear now is pure fuzz.
I can feel the brbr deng!!!
I jawdropped the whole video , don't know what your basses does to me but I get bassgasms :D
Nolly is the Man
so glad to HEAR the BASS, tnx Nolly!
Ha Nolly... Looks so easy when he plays it.
Ohhh man the tone is like icing on a cinnamon roll
For those of you who enjoyed - you need to see his live cam version of MTD
This looks like Peter Gabriel's studio in the UK which is awesome...he is helping me consider a Dingwall bass...have a Darkglass Alpha Omega already:)
Same boat...we're in trouble I think!

You have the A&O pedal or head?
Fuck-en crazy Dingwall, like always perfect bass
Can someone tell me how to get close to this tone with one of the neural bass products? Its beautiful!!!
Does anyone have any good bass sheet music or tabs for P3? I found some one Songster but no exact sheet music.
Sheephappens my friend, official tabs proofed by the artists
Killer bass tone
For F’s sake, i absolutely love this bass! I wish i could afford one and play this good
I want this tone! I need eq settings!

I developed a rule of thumb, if it has "Nolly" or "GetGood" in the title, it's getting played.
Them 00000 000 000000s are burning down the house.
BASSically the best song
Does that cork soaker have 3 pickups, or is one a dummy coil like an Alembic?
That’s 3 pickups, but there a few are settings where one pickup is playing the dummy.
Love it
Now that one is a tricky one.
perfect
Look tomar, its you!
looks like he's playing a Lamborghini
Sounds way better than a lambo
Nolly!!!!!!!!!
Tune to Drop G# ?
Affirmative

Nasty af tone, playing and haircut.
even his name is a insult to us mortals "getgood" bro im trying but we aint you
That slap section is filth
Oh ya periphery, I kinda forget about the band watching the bass tracks…..
joyofthedizzy
Hey VSauce, Micheal here. You can't shred bass... Or can you?
bruh
I guess he totally destroyed His interest in continuing periphery
Terrible sonido Nolly

Thanks for the warning, I set speed to 1.5 so it was finished more quickly and it sounded like a Cure song at 6x speed.
Obvious troll is obvious.
You tell em, Musician1000
WIsh he would still use Fender Jazz basses as he did while recording this song. Dingwall blows.
Its kinda impossible to play these songs on a fender
"dingwall blows" tf?
Have you tried one 😅

Sorry just don't get it, what is the point....it is technical sure but it ain't much music anymore! reminded me the Yngwie era.
You hear musical notes? That's music
bruh
What?😂
@@tanayyy2875 Sure but just not good music.
that takes some fucking balls, haha- "whats the point?" ... why are you on youtube... ?
A bunch of guitarists liked nollys videos in 2013 and tricked the UA-cam algorithm into thinking bassists like this sterile bullshit.
Pretty much.
This is a bass video for guitarists.
4 comments straight bitching. Pathetic.
