- In this lesson we take a look at playing a blues shuffle and learning how to practice along with backing tracks. It can open up a lot of room for creative bass grooves and blues improvisation on the bass, but we need to understand what to listen for in the drums. We're specifically listening to a shuffle feel and pointing out parts of the drum kit that the bass can lock in with.
