1000 has the better screen, but the 2000 model has the better battery life and a micro-usb charger. The 1000 model feels more natural in your hand and the 2000 model feels like you're holding nothing. The 1000 model has a more vibrant color palate where the 2000 model looks like the colors are there, just not popping. The Sticks feel more durable on the 1000 model compared to the 2000 model, and sticks are important for playing games, lol. I'm more in favor of the 1000 model.
The 1000 uses a different system that has far better performance and longevity than the sticks on 2000. 2000 is the same kind of stuff you see on modern controllers like Xbox and switch joycon. Those are prone to drift while the magnetic ones on the PSV1000 are far more sustainable and crisper, just more of a pain to replace IF they break (they don’t)
There is a mod plugin for the 2000, if you run CFW, which makes the colors pop more. It's not quite where the 1000 is even with that, but it's much better. Still, the 1000 is nicer.

I think the 2000’s LCD screen gets WAY too little credits. It’s one of the best LCDs out there, not having perfect pitch black pixels is really the only downlside. The colours are a little bit brighter on the OLED, but not a lot, without direct comparison I would’ve never noticed. Really, the LCD screen is so good, especially for a 10 year old mobile device! Don’t be biased just because it’s not OLED. It took me a few years to make the change from the 1000 to 2000. The 2000 is now my main Vita just because how crazy comfortable it is to hold. the only thing that makes me choose the 1000 over the 2000 is the sticks. I don't have a 1000 but I've tried using remote play on my modern OLED phone and some of the games are just wayyy too dark and anything is barely visible which requires you to use in-game lights. OLED looks amazing but at the same time it makes visibility more difficult for very dark environments.

@@FranchisePlayyer I have the white & baby pink colour (boxed away in new condition) & the one I use is the regular black model. Such an amazing handheld especially once it's hacked & set up to suit our needs.
I prefer the 1000. The OLED is so nice and the 1000 actual has hall effect joy sticks so its basically immune to drink. While the 100 doesn't have any internal storage that has been fixed by the modding community as its now possible to repartition the internal flash storage to make a little over 2GB available to the user. The 1000 feels like it was built to last. When the 200 came out they were already killing it off basically. The just wanted to make a few more Vitas for a low price, throw in some colours to make it appeal to more customers and make it possible to play games without a memory card. The 1000 has an accessory port that never got used, they had so many great ideas when they made this device and it had so much potential and they ruined it.
i have a vita slim modded, bought it like that and i did an sd to vita mod with 32 gb sd, such an amazing little console, but since i got a steam deck i dont play the vita. Nice video bro 🔥
There have been talks of Sony trying to get back into the handheld market. I know its going to be a while when they do release whatever they're cooking up. I also find it unfortunate that Sony left the handheld market as soon as things started ramping up in this space. They discontinued the vita in 2019 right before the pandemic hit and everyone and their mothers started scrounging up any video game console they could get their hands on. The secondhand market boomed and video game releases and console sales rose too. I think if Sony had stayed in the handheld market they should make better financial decisions than what they did with the PSP and PSVita. Rather than releasing a "premium" console first then cheaper models later on, instead it should be the opposite. As the console's lifespan goes on, better models should come out. Which could justify the higher price tag that the PSP and PSVita got compared to the DS and 3DS. It should be a device similar to the Vita 2000 as a base model first (like the OG switch) and then releasing a more premium version second (OLED Switch) with a cheaper model to the base (Switch Lite). This is such a huge challenge because they're against Nintendo, the Switch is both a console and handheld. Meaning that if Sony is going to reenter the market, they either have to release a console with a low barrier of entry or have a collection of games that can some how rival Nintendo's games. In the end Nintendo will win. We all know that whatever Sony releases we're still going to try and find a way to emulate Pokémon.
I've had both, the OLED isn't that amazing it's very overhyped. It's possibly the worst OLED I've ever seen. The LCD is very close as far as colors and clarity. The blacks are better of course on the OLED but that's all you're missing out on for having that sleek little disc of the 2000 with internal memory and lots of other positives. I got rid of my OLED and I kept the 2K
Lol I remember buying a ps vita 1000 July 5th 2012, it was the day after 4th of July. I played poker on 4th and won 875 dollars. So what did I do? Bought a Vita of course! lol I didn't like it much for some reason, I ended up selling it months later because I never used it. It wasn't a hit like the PSP, but it has seemed to make a comeback lately! I just ordered a metallic red one from Japan!
After like 8 years I found my psp vita 1000 picking up dust in a random box in my house. I got so hyped, especially when I found out about PKGJ and Adrenaline. Only problem is I don't really know how much storage I need to download them (I have the ps vita 4gb memory card). Do I need the ps vita adaptor micro sd adaptor? How much storage would you recommend if let's say I wanted to download 9 games on top of those programs ?
I would recommend at least 32gb, but I know most people use much more like around 128gb because of games and emulators. Hope you have fun with the modded vita dude!
slim was better, why? 1000: burned screen on screen edges ,weak duration battery, charge port weak and personal, expensive replacements joysticks, prone to creating micro scratches on the front (i have both on the past and just purchase slim now)
Hello I’m trying to find a charger for the model PCH-1001 I’m guessing it’s part of the 1000 series. It’s been a while since I played on it as it holds a lot of childhood memories as it was my brothers in the past and was clearing out some boxes and found it. Trying to revive it and get back in looking for the charger tho any help would be gladly appreciated thank you! Just wanna make sure I buy the correct charging port for it

I got ps vita 2000, not gonna lie to you, idk how about amoles pentile matrix in 1000 but ips on 2000 pretty bad,.lack of colours and feel outdated in today standart... I just crave more of colours... But again, even so pentile Matrix has more vivid colours... Its notorious to be ugly in terms of pixel arrangement at that era, even in 2018 android phones... Pros will know, noobs might not even tell a difference....
How can people complain about its proprietary charger when most people use iPhone which always had proprietary chargers? Even when this came out iPhone did, lmao.
there's a plugin if you mod the vita 2000 that boost the saturation closing the gap with the OLED, just that the black level can't be beat but I mean who's playing a black screen? lol... I have both models a white 1000 and two 2000s an aqua blue and a black one. vita means life but Sony's greed killed it, those darn memory card prices were a complete joke, the system should've had more ram imo the 512Mb they had planned originally and made the memory slot microSD not to mention they locked the 3G model to at&t, freaking stupid, I think it might've won out against the 3DS had they not made poor choices like that. I hope they don't make the same mistake again with whatever they're cooking now.
Trying to get my son one of these for his birthday. He was very specific on which he wanted, but now I can't remember lol. I thought I'd be able to discern from a comparison video....but no... I still don't know which one he wanted lmao. He wants white. I remember that.
@user-by1eg3mb7j yeah, the 1000 model's R and L should buttons, feel like shoulder buttons. Reminiscent of the PSP. The 2000 model purposely had cheaper parts for cost sake. Basically, you're getting what you pay for, that was their thought process when making the 2000 model. The memory sticks for both will cost you 1 months mortgage though, lol
@@FranchisePlayyer I did buy ps vita 1000 in 2011 My ps vita is been 11 year with me Is still working ps vita Sony is the best I have Sony TV is been 6 year Is still working too I don't like xbox and Nintendo switch
I've had both, the OLED and the 1000, the OLED is very overrated. Possibly the worst OLED I've ever seen. The LCD on the 2000 has very similar colors and clarity. The blacks are of course better on the OLED but the amount of hype it has is overstated. They're both really close, I decided to keep the 2000 and get rid of the OLED. Who knows maybe they'll be a mod one day to put a quality OLED in the 2000. But until then I think the LCD is just as good or better in many ways.
That is true not just that the oled gets easily burn ins because it is an early oled screen and relative cheap for an oled. Not just that after 1000 hours of playing the colours get even worse.
you are delusional. The LCD and OLED are nowhere near similar with colors and clarity. LCD completely misrepresents the colors and tint of all games. It is quite awful actually. The OLED image is vastly superior. Burn in can be an issue with certain games but only if you play for very long hours without a break... but there is a reason why Sony went with the inferior LCD, it was a major downgrade to save costs on a handheld that was not selling well at all. It is a total shame this video didnt clearly showcase the difference to those who dont know any better...
Do you prefer the 1000 or 2000?
Every things in 2000 beter just the olde in 1000

I don't have a 1000 but I've tried using remote play on my modern OLED phone and some of the games are just wayyy too dark and anything is barely visible which requires you to use in-game lights. OLED looks amazing but at the same time it makes visibility more difficult for very dark environments.
1000 all the way for me
Love the 1000s OLED
They just have that hefty quality feel as well whereas the slim models always feel flimsy
@@One2fix1982and it also feels a bit cheaper when compared to the Phat model. I own both and I definitely prefer the Phat model to my Slim model.
@@LordDagger for sure, drop an IPS in a 1k and they are amazing, it’s a very simple mod if you haven’t done it already, I’ll be doing it on my channel soon, already have several that I’ve done up with the 1000 nit brightness and they are amazing
ps vita 3000 with more power and OLED would've been insane
2000 is better 😊 I have 2 of them. Had a few of the 1000's in the past and i prefer the 2000 model. The go to model, the one, the step up, the best.
2000 is a great option and has way better color options too. Which colors do you have?
@@FranchisePlayyer I have the white & baby pink colour (boxed away in new condition) & the one I use is the regular black model. Such an amazing handheld especially once it's hacked & set up to suit our needs.
The pink one is super nice looking. But yeah I completely agree, once a vita is hacked it is such a fun system
ps vita 3000 with more power and OLED would've been insane
ah yes LCD is definitely a step up from OLED :^)
The oled isn’t a good oled screen it is overated
i have a vita slim modded, bought it like that and i did an sd to vita mod with 32 gb sd, such an amazing little console, but since i got a steam deck i dont play the vita. Nice video bro 🔥
Thanks bro! Modded vitas are amazing, hope you’re enjoying it
1000 screen is incredible. Upgraded the battery and it last all day
how did you do this
@@jorgeestrada7263 it's not hard
Id go 1000 since the analog never breaks even if it breaks you just clean and your all good
Lol I just managed to find a brand new 2000 for 170€. Can't wait to try it out, I've never even held a vita before
Awesome, hope you enjoy it
There have been talks of Sony trying to get back into the handheld market.
And it has the best connector ever aka the aux that most phone does not have
Yeah having the aux is clutch
I've owned both versions of the vita and I must say I prefer the 1000 more despite it being bulker
i absolutely love my ps vita 2000 aqua blue. i wish i got the chance to feel the 1000 😢
The aqua blue 2000 is so sick
@@FranchisePlayyer thanks!

Buying a Vita with poker winnings is a sick story dude. Enjoy the Japanese one!
@@FranchisePlayyer thanks! and thanks for videos as well
Just traded base set pokemon cards for the 1000 model 🎉
Dang hopefully you didn’t include a charizard haha! Enjoy the vita dude!
oled always better but the burnt marks of the oled is a big problem.
OLED is my go to
Bro ps vita 1000 had a blue red color as well special edition tokiden and soul sacrifice
1000 for me just feels more premium LED screen will always look better. The make of the slim model feels a bit cheap
I own both and to be honest I think they both have their benefits flaws but they are both fantastic machines
Yeah pros and cons to both
After like 8 years I found my psp vita 1000 picking up dust in a random box in my house.
I love my 1000 vita better screen and mine is modded with a 512gb memory card full of games. Love my vita.
cool i think i’ll get any one model around tax season probably a 2000 because it’s newer version i have a psp with it’s silver case and all
Nice hopefully you can get a good deal. Do you know what color vita you want?
@@FranchisePlayyer no black prefers
slim was better, why? 1000: burned screen on screen edges ,weak duration battery, charge port weak and personal, expensive replacements joysticks, prone to creating micro scratches on the front (i have both on the past and just purchase slim now)
Pros and cons to both models, I still prefer the 1000. Thanks for watching!
does the ps vita 2000 have better performances?
Same specs as the 1000
I prefer the 2000 for the micro usb charger.
1000 for me because I’m used to oled screens
The OLED is still so clean bro
Ps vita 2000 all the wayyy for me love the longer battery 🔋 life and Much lighter than Ps vita 1000
why did they change the 2000 screen? Only thing I ca think of is the battery life.
I’m assuming it was to cut costs
@@FranchisePlayyer ahh thats a shame
Hello I’m trying to find a charger for the model PCH-1001 I’m guessing it’s part of the 1000 series. It’s been a while since I played on it as it holds a lot of childhood memories as it was my brothers in the past and was clearing out some boxes and found it. Trying to revive it and get back in looking for the charger tho any help would be gladly appreciated thank you! Just wanna make sure I buy the correct charging port for it
You should be able to grab one on Amazon for pretty cheap
I'm curious if you can play ps3 games on it or is that remote play only? I really want to play my og borderlands1 on the go
I’m pretty sure the remote play only works on certain ps3 games but most ps4 games. You might be better off emulating borderlands 1 on a steam deck
with easy online jailbreak and Micro SD to Vita adapter card. 2023 is the best year to purchase a Vita
yeah I just bought the 1000 refurbished
I don't know how they did it, but everything is look pristine
Micro SD to vita helps so much, great year to have a vita

I got ps vita 2000, not gonna lie to you, idk how about amoles pentile matrix in 1000 but ips on 2000 pretty bad,.lack of colours and feel outdated in today standart... I just crave more of colours... But again, even so pentile Matrix has more vivid colours... Its notorious to be ugly in terms of pixel arrangement at that era, even in 2018 android phones... Pros will know, noobs might not even tell a difference....
How can people complain about its proprietary charger when most people use iPhone which always had proprietary chargers? Even when this came out iPhone did, lmao.
Where can I find cheap devices from Japan?
there's a plugin if you mod the vita 2000 that boost the saturation closing the gap with the OLED, just that the black level can't be beat but I mean who's playing a black screen?
Totally agree that Sonys greed killed the vita. This system had so much untapped potential
I have the slim model I like it very much 😊
Trying to get my son one of these for his birthday. He was very specific on which he wanted, but now I can't remember lol. I thought I'd be able to discern from a comparison video....but no... I still don't know which one he wanted lmao. He wants white. I remember that.
couldn't you just put some electrical tape on the edges of the touch pad to make it not detect anything?
That actually might work dude
but that would make it ugly 😁
Thanks for the tip!
the 1000 is better because its the one I have
Which version has mushy buttons?
They feel pretty much the same to me
@@FranchisePlayyerso are they clicky or mushy 😅
The face buttons have more of a click to them but the triggers are mushier
@user-by1eg3mb7j yeah, the 1000 model's R and L should buttons, feel like shoulder buttons. Reminiscent of the PSP. The 2000 model purposely had cheaper parts for cost sake. Basically, you're getting what you pay for, that was their thought process when making the 2000 model. The memory sticks for both will cost you 1 months mortgage though, lol
did u mod your ps vita? i'm hoping to mod mine.
1000 is the best. Bro it got OLED screen do not buy just for bigger number.

@@Leon.Huntress.wizard for real! Most people think OLED equals way better but the PS Vita is a great example of that not being true.
you are delusional.
2000 all the way ❤
Sony's working on a new handheld. Sony believes in the power of the handheld again. So we're in for a treat. 💯🍿
