Best video on youtube for tile installation. Appreciate the details with the reasoning especially the guide stick and clip insertion at the end of the day. Rock and right on!
Best and nicest comment ever…made my day
I just did half of my very first tiling floor..to say "it was a dirty mess" would be an understatement....
Yours is so nice and clean.
Always have a sponge and water and a towel. Also I guess years of practice 🤗 least you had a go and I hope your happy with it. Least the other half will be better.
@@TheBeardedTiler It is, and your video helped a lot.
Thx, if you ever come to Zagreb, Croatia you have a beer on me.

Thank you so much mate!
No problem 👍
Great videos! For a wood plank floor tile with a 2mm grout line should i use sanded or non sanded grout?
Depends..I know a lot of people go for a light/mid grey as sometimes the sandy looking colour looks dirty after a short period.
Sanded grout and seal it with 511 impregnater.
Brilliant video, for wood effect porcelain tiles do you think the shorter in length are better so you got a better chance of no bowing?
No …just be careful don’t exceed 1/3 in bond.rule of thumb! If you keep to this then you won’t have a issued with bowing
Tile can bow?
Use "spin doctor's" .
👍👍😊
Thank you 🙏🏻

What size of spacers should I use for tile 8x36 ?
What size of trowel ?
10mm trowel …and back butter and up to personal taste but if they are rectified I’d say 2/3mm max….
Hope this helps
@@TheBeardedTilerwhat does rectified tiles mean
@NagashiChidorii Rectified tiles, or sharp edge tiles as they can be known, are ceramic or porcelain tiles that have been manufactured to a very precise tolerance. This means they are cut to near exact measurements with a near perfect straight edge.
What tile trowel are upon using? 10mm x 10mm?
Correct 👍🏼
I recently made the mistake of tiling a running bond pattern with 600×300 porcelain. I found that I couldn't get it lipp free due to the amount of bow in the tile..a level system was never going to compensate for the amount of bow. Do you have any tips for this and is this generally only an issue with poor quality tile ?
As a tiler.... There's one rule whever it be small kitchen tiles or big floor tiles.... A third is the max due to the problem you occurred.... I'm sorry to hear this and if you ever need any further info please let me know... I'm always able to give you some advice or tips. Hope this helps
@@TheBeardedTiler Thankfully it was a rental property which I learnt this mistake on. Experience is everything...I will know for next time . Thanks for the reply
When it comes to knocking out clips next day i find half of the stay in joint and have to spend ages stanley blading em out , i try keep adhesive free from sides when tighten but still happens .maybe i need to make sure theres no adhesive in or around the clip
@tommoore3292 ahhh now the reason behind this…..I’ll do a video when I do some next ..basically before you put the clips in make you make a clean line along the tile (adhesive) this means that when you then put the next tile in against it you won’t get loads of adhesive coming up through the joints etc. I’ll do a short and explain better 🤙🏼
@@TheBeardedTilerthanks a million 😊
Wooden texture tiles are shit. Trust me, the grout is too wide making it unrealistic, and then all look like shit once those grout gets blacked. Shit and gunk get stuck in the between tiles rough texture . You want a good tiles that last and also look good long run, then bother choosing wooden textured tiles.
I disagree...I've got a resume of successful high end clients with wood plank porcelain flooring. Repeat clients with more tile work with same product. I respectfully disagree
Damn dude, I love how mad people get on the internet about such stupid stuff. Just don’t buy wood style tile and be happy.
@abstractheory1 I know right …but I guess everyone has a opinion on things. 🤣
