Fate was absolutely horrible

I wasn't surprised this show didn't do so well. First of all the whitewashing was huge issue. Also when I heard about live action, I thought this show would have been very expensive to create. With the fact its show about fairies, transformation was big part of the show, and the fashion. The fashion in the first season was the worst, that bad since winx club fashion played a huge part, 2nd season was better but a lot of clothes look like things I could find on Shein, I agree with so far everything you said about the show. Things I did like about the show, I did like how their were male fairies, and there was also woman specialist. I love the actor who played Riven, he was very well-written character. I do believe the little success the show had is bc of him.

Wait, Iginio Straffi complained about how Brian Young handled Fate?? Didn’t he do the same thing after the ending of Rainbow & Nick’s collaboration to make seasons 5-7? I’m started to think Straffi hands off Winx to other people/companies in order for him to get more $$ then later complains about how badly those people/companies handled Winx when those media projects fail
Is it true that he complained about season 5 to 7?
For fate actually, he didn't have a lot of things to say and we could feel that he wasn't fan of Fate before it's cancel even if he didn't dare to say it because it worked
@@delireent.3960 Yes. Way back after the Rainbow-Nick collab ended, he blamed Nick for dumbing down Winx Club. But then he went and made Season 8, which DEFINITELY dumbed it down
Ftae is the first show where i was over joyed it got cancelled. Paulina Chavez, Precious Mustafa, and Abby Cowen are the only good things about that dumpster fire of a show
It actually burns me up that this show haf the nerve to include tiny bits from Celtic lore: the otherworld which is basically fairy land and is a billion times cooler than what this show gave us! The idea that faeries don't all have wings is accurate to folklore because the winged faerie didn't become as popular until the 19th century, and the word 'fae' or 'faerie' comes from french meaning a magical being, so fae/faerie could be considered an umbrella term for a being with magic. Also changelings are a thing in fairy stories, where a human child is switched with a fairy. This show had the golden chance to dive head first into the diverse and mysterious world of Celtic myth and they butchered it!!!
As a diehard fangirl of Celtic cultures and legends PLUS lifelong Winx fan, I HOPE THE DULAHAN COMES FOR THE WRITERS IN THEIR SLEEP
I feel like Fate would be a better show if it was for witches. Like focusing on the trix and other witch characters from Winx club that deserve a chance to shine or give us a witch version of the Winx club. Maybe making the show about the specialist, feeling like they have to keep up the fairies and witches because their getting to strong and they don’t wanna be left behind so they evolve to be somewhat magical to keep up.
I understand if they don’t have the money for fancy stuff for fairies, but what was the point of making a FAIRY show if it doesn’t have the same vibe?
Edit: actually what would be pretty cool? Next gen fairies like Roxy and Mirita. Maybe even add Flora’s sister. That would be cool

I skipped through the scary stuff in FATE, and I honestly hated it go watch World of Winx or something and someone give WOW a season 3
Honestly, if fate of the winx was a totally different movie from the winx club we all know and love, I think it would have been great because the plot is nice and all. And I understand that they were trying to target the older and more mature audience but the whole ‘Winx Club’ idea was defeated.
I watched two episodes and could not take it seriously. The outfits were not well coordinated with the characters in my opinion, and everything looked too "twilight- riverdalish" for my taste.

Like really Netflix. You are going to advertise about having a racially diverse cast and then make a show with a less a diverse cast than the original? That seems counter productive.
It just really sat wrong with me.

I liked Fate because at least it wasn't as childish as the series started becoming after season 4. I don't appreciate the show being canceled on a cliffhanger. They at least could've given us a two-hour episode to close things up. Also with as much money Iginio and Netflix has why didn't their clothes change when they started transforming? Iginio needs to stop making up excuses first it was 4kids TV (which I LOVED the dialogue was top tier, especially the Trix), then Nick, and now Netflix. Season 9 better bring it or Iginio just needs to cancel the series. Then my fairies can finally get the recognation they deserve. Whispers the Fairy Squad Princesses by Marcus Moutra (moi). Lol
