He definitely does prerecord stuff and lipsync sometimes, and probably there are multiple takes, but there were a couple of moments where he hit a SLIGHTLY bum note, which actually tells me it's definitely not a studio recording. More of a live session, you might call it.
This is definitely live because he missed a line on a verse, and some of the changes in vibratos that are not the same as the original. I listen to this song all the time and I notice every time he sings live, it’s an always different!

Dimash often goes to his knees. One reacter/vocal coach said it helps to ground him. And it can also help the way he does his high notes. I don't blame people for doubting Dimash can do this live, but it is just because they don't know him yet. ❤️
That's very interesting! I do believe that when you bend over at the waist it can help disengage (or release) your abdominal muscles which when done correctly can help as he transitions into the extreme high parts of his voice! Thank you for sharing that bit of information!

It's a chinese show called shine super brothers and he attended this show for a few weeks, but had to stop bc of health problems. Those singers there are all well-known in different ways in China. Singers, rapper, stage actors, movie and series stars. On the first episode all of them did one performance and Dimash did Stranger for the first time live. He was so nervous! But it's one of my favorites bc its so emotional! And the next performance is with his group a Queen medley. We will rock you and we are the champions.

It was live. Every person involved with the writing composing and producing “Starmania” and the song for that French rock opera is gone and some deaths tragically. A young French pop singer from France sang the song but died of a autoimmune disease so the song has a place in all of France. They invited Dimash to sing it at the Cannes film festival one year in Nice. The earliest I can find Dimash singing this song is 15 years old. But it latched onto him. It is his signature song and we Dears love him for it I don’t know happened to him back then but it might not have been easy as a young man singing soprano with his peers. He looks so handsome and in control but he lost a friend in recent years. I have a mental disorder. 2 years ago I had to have 5 surgeries over a period of 6 months. I found sos and Dimash on you tube. He brought me through with the you tube reactors. I know others with suicide issues. Dimash reaches out when he says I’m not compfortable in my own skin. FYI Dimash premiered his “DIMASH DIGITAL SHOW” in January 2021 on the TIXR Streaming Platform - he had to cancel many concerts when COVID hit so this was his solution to connecting with his Dears. His company produced and presented this ON DEMAND online concert for his Dears - ‘On Demand’ tickets sold for $10 for views of the digital show between 16/1/21 to 31/1/21- it was absolutely amazing and testament to how much Dimash cares for his Dears. An international team of 140 people worked on producing 19 songs for the concert. Anna Oboyanskaya, the main director said, “We wanted to make a full-fledged live show in real scale, without spectators, but using modern television, computer and virtual technologies. In one word - digital. This was from his live digital concert because of covid canceling his regular tours. He does most of his performances live, so the lockdowns were really difficult for him. He did another song that looks like a studio recording, Ikanaide, but it was recorded in one pass at his studio with two camera operators from the Tokyo Jazz Festival so they could attest that it was genuine with no studio tricks. They had to do one edit because of an unfortunate zoom-in, but he sang it in one pass. That one was his first Japanese song.
This was a live performance from Dimas's Digital online show that he did during the pandemic as his concert tour had to be cancelled half way through. Dimash completed the tour this year. He has a concert in Almaty Kazakstan on the 23rd of this month. The gold wings you see behind our Dimash are symbolic as his fellow country people have nick named him The Gold Wings of Kazakstan and rightly so. It is live, he sang some incredible masterpieces before this one, hence the sweating! It was an online concert in January 2021, that he wanted to do for his ‘dears’ (fans) during lockdown. The whole concert was amazing! Most of the songs he did are now on his UA-cam channel, it was amazing quality, about 200 people were involved with the concert. The Digital scenery was incredible on every song. His mother says he loses a stone in weight on one of his solo concerts, which usually last between 2 1/2 and 3 hours. This concert was around 1 hour 50 minutes, if I remember correctly.

Man, you nailed this reaction! Absolutely, I couldn't care less about the stage, about the dancers nor am I aware of the band. When I listen to Dimash, he transcends me to a different place. And at the same time, my whole focus is on him 100%. Dimash does not need a big production. He is all we need. I really don't know exactly what it is about this artist. He is an addiction and luckily, there is no cure but to continue to experience him. My vote, though it ridiculous to try to pick one, is Love Is Like Dream done years earlier…..just the performance of such incredible depth and something like “soul travel” ,to coin a phrase, to TRY to explain that song for the listener. It was not a video, it was his live Concert, "Dimash Digital Show" that was streamed on Twixr on 16 Jan 2021 and replayed for one week for fans. He has posted 16 of the 17 individual performances from this Concert on his UA-cam Channel; in the "Playlist" tab, called "Dimash Digital Show 2021".
In 2017, the first contestant on stage for the TV show "I Am Singer 2017" was an unknown 22 year old man from Kazakhstan, who went on the Chinese singing show and sang a French song. He was an unknown "wildcard" contestant, but this made him an overnight success after over 600,000,000 people in China saw the broadcast, and it started his world wide career. This is that song (a different performance of it). This was done in the studio during Covid, however, the sets and suits are always top notch!

Idk what's been spoken about yet as regards the greatest singer in the world but I'll throw my two cents in. He is 28 yo. From Kazakhstan. He has been in formal music education and training since age 5. He holds multiple degrees in music and is working on his PHD in Musicology. He sings 7-8 octaves depending on who is reporting it. He plays 8 instruments. He sings in 13 languages. He speaks his native tongue of course plus Russian, has been studying English and is doing really well with that. He is also studying Mandarin but says its very hard to learn. His parents are both well known professional singers in Kazakhstan. He was raised by his grandparents. He stated that in Kazakhstan the 1st born child is raised by the grandparents. He says in life that the creator comes 1st, then parents, love of the motherland then wife and children. He is one of the most humble, loving, respectful and appreciative people in the world. He refers to his fans as his Dears. As he says we are his dears, his family and an extension of his soul. There are no more devoted fans of anyone. In 2019 shortly before the outbreak he played a sold out concert in N.Y. to 13,000 people where fans traveled from 68 countries to see him! 74 countries when he played to a sold out crowd in London. No one else could do that. His goal is to come to the U.S. for awhile to pursue his career here. Of course it would blow it wide open. His 1st album went platinum in 37 seconds! Triple in under an hr. People say hes an alien, other worldly, not human. But Dimash has worked the past 23 yrs to get to be the best. He sings multiple genres, pop, popera, what he calls neo-classical and even raps. Hes a huge fan of Michael Jackson and Andre Bocelli so that gives you an idea. As others have stated, it is live. What you must know is that Dimash's concerts are at least 3 hours long....so yeah, you're going to see some sweat, as Dimash gives 110%. He jumps around, he dances, he raps, belts.....sings his heart out. Because it was live, but digital, he doesn't have a real live audience before him (just on the tube)....so he can't feed his adrenaline off that, yet, you can't even tell (he really gives his all). Can you imagine doing that? Very difficult. This was a gift to us, his Dears.....to be able to see him live, but in the comfort of your home, as most of us where quarantined.

Dimash is such a master performer that there is often a lot of controversy over which songs are lip-synched and which ones are not. There are some performances in which lip-synching is obvious and others in which it is hard to tell. As you journey through Dimash's amazing catalog of music, be aware that some Dears (Dimash fans) will blindly claim that everything he sings is live. Of course, that is not true. That being said, I think this one is live, but I don't know that for sure and, in the end, it doesn't really matter because it is Dimash's performance of the song, whether pre-recorded or not, that makes it as dynamic as it is.

He definitely does prerecord stuff and lipsync sometimes, and probably there are multiple takes, but there were a couple of moments where he hit a SLIGHTLY bum note, which actually tells me it's definitely not a studio recording. More of a live session, you might call it.
This is definitely live because he missed a line on a verse, and some of the changes in vibratos that are not the same as the original. I listen to this song all the time and I notice every time he sings live, it’s an always different!
Carlos...I'm an 80 year old retired singer/performer/teacher. I really appreciate the fact that you are teaching as you react. It makes your video both entertaining and edifying. I have been a Dimash fan for 3 years, and I think he is a rare musical phenomenon. He has inspired me in my old age to return to singing and working again on my vocal techniques. This is a live performance. SOS is the song that introduced Dimash to the world and opened many great opportunities and collaborations for him. This song comes from the famous 1978 Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' which is well known in French-speaking countries and is a pretty difficult song to sing. In 2017 Dimash received a wild card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant ever at 22 years old and the first non-Chinese.
Only professional, award-winning singers take part in this competition. Although well-known and respected in his homeland Kazakhstan, few in China knew or heard about Dimash before, but with his first song, SOS, Dimash shocked the audience and captured the hearts of over 600 million of viewers overnight, and the rest is history as the saying goes. This performance was sung live on his own digital stage but without an audience. This was his Digital Show 2021, that was created for his fans since his planned tour was cancelled due to the pandemic.
The song was originally sung in the French stage musical Starmania, by the rebel hero Johnny Rockfort after finding his girlfriend's body when she'd been shot dead by the bad guys. When he kneels down on the stage he is kneeling over her body. It is a song of a desperate man who no longer wants to stay on the Earth and has thoughts of suicide. The last words of the song, 'Sleep child, sleep' are sung to her body.
The song is difficult to sing and was written to make use of the 2.5 octave range of famous French singer Daniel Balavoine who was the first person to play the role on stage. Dimash sings the song very emotionally and over a wider octave range than the original, with a lot of colour and expression. He reaches into his whistle register for the topmost notes.

It's a chinese show called shine super brothers and he attended this show for a few weeks, but had to stop bc of health problems. Those singers there are all well-known in different ways in China. Singers, rapper, stage actors, movie and series stars.
On the first episode all of them did one performance and Dimash did Stranger for the first time live. He was so nervous! But it's one of my favorites bc its so emotional! And the next performance is with his group a Queen medley. We will rock you and we are the champions.
This was his digital show and completely live streamed. People bought tickets to it. $10. It was during Covid. Dimash would not go to the extent of faking looking sweaty. Lol ludicrous. Some music videos are created in such a way that he has to sing to the track, but more emphasis is put on the acting and story line. This was a concert without a physical audience present. It was live. Every person involved with the writing composing and producing “Starmania” and the song for that French rock opera is gone and some deaths tragically. A young French pop singer from France sang the song but died of a autoimmune disease so the song has a place in all of France. They invited Dimash to sing it at the Cannes film festival one year in Nice. The earliest I can find Dimash singing this song is 15 years old. But it latched onto him. It is his signature song and we Dears love him for it I don’t know happened to him back then but it might not have been easy as a young man singing soprano with his peers. “DIMASH DIGITAL SHOW” in January 2021 on the TIXR Streaming Platform - he had to cancel many concerts when COVID hit so this was his solution to connecting with his Dears. His company produced and presented this ON DEMAND online concert for his Dears - ‘On Demand’ tickets sold for $10 for views of the digital show between 16/1/21 to 31/1/21- it was absolutely amazing and testament to how much Dimash cares for his Dears.
An international team of 140 people worked on producing 19 songs for the concert. Anna Oboyanskaya, the main director said,
“We wanted to make a full-fledged live show in real scale, without spectators, but using modern television, computer and virtual technologies. In one word - digital. Thus, we came up with a new compilation concert format for Dimash, where each composition is an independent TV clip or even a TV show with the use of various impressive effects.”
Here’s the concert’s opening song ‘Olympico’ - it starts off back stage with Dimash watching himself on TV performing Olympico - obviously pre-recorded backstage, switching to live when he goes on stage!!

This was from his live digital concert because of covid canceling his regular tours. He does most of his performances live, so the lockdowns were really difficult for him.
He did another song that looks like a studio recording, Ikanaide, but it was recorded in one pass at his studio with two camera operators from the Tokyo Jazz Festival so they could attest that it was genuine with no studio tricks. They had to do one edit because of an unfortunate zoom-in, but he sang it in one pass. That one was his first Japanese song.

This was a live performance from Dimas's Digital online show that he did during the pandemic as his concert tour had to be cancelled half way through. Dimash completed the tour this year. He has a concert in Almaty Kazakstan on the 23rd of this month.

It is live, he sang some incredible masterpieces before this one, hence the sweating! It was an online concert in January 2021, that he wanted to do for his ‘dears’ (fans) during lockdown. The whole concert was amazing! Most of the songs he did are now on his UA-cam channel, it was amazing quality, about 200 people were involved with the concert. The Digital scenery was incredible on every song.
His mother says he loses a stone in weight on one of his solo concerts, which usually last between 2 1/2 and 3 hours. This concert was around 1 hour 50 minutes, if I remember correctly.

Man, you nailed this reaction! Absolutely, I couldn't care less about the stage, about the dancers nor am I aware of the band. When I listen to Dimash, he transcends me to a different place. And at the same time, my whole focus is on him 100%. Dimash does not need a big production. He is all we need. I really don't know exactly what it is about this artist. I think he sings with his whole being, body and soul, that's what it is.

He is an addiction and luckily, there is no cure but to continue to experience him. My vote, though it ridiculous to try to pick one, is Love Is Like Dream done years earlier…..just the performance of such incredible depth and something like “soul travel” ,to coin a phrase, to TRY to explain that song for the listener. He was an unknown "wildcard" contestant, but this made him an overnight success after over 600,000,000 people in China saw the broadcast, and it started his world wide career. This is that song (a different performance of it). This was done in the studio during Covid, however, the sets and suits are always top notch!

Idk what's been spoken about yet as regards the greatest singer in the world but I'll throw my two cents in. He is 28 yo. From Kazakhstan. He has been in formal music education and training since age 5. He holds multiple degrees in music and is working on his PHD in Musicology. He sings 7-8 octaves depending on who is reporting it. He plays 8 instruments. He sings in 13 languages. He speaks his native tongue of course plus Russian, has been studying English and is doing really well with that. He is also studying Mandarin but says its very hard to learn. His parents are both well known professional singers in Kazakhstan. He was raised by his grandparents. He stated that in Kazakhstan the 1st born child is raised by the grandparents. He says in life that the creator comes 1st, then parents, love of the motherland then wife and children. He is one of the most humble, loving, respectful and appreciative people in the world. He refers to his fans as his Dears. As he says we are his dears, his family and an extension of his soul. There are no more devoted fans of anyone. In 2019 shortly before the outbreak he played a sold out concert in N.Y. to 13,000 people where fans traveled from 68 countries to see him! 74 countries when he played to a sold out crowd in London. No one else could do that. His goal is to come to the U.S. for awhile to pursue his career here. Of course it would blow it wide open. His 1st album went platinum in 37 seconds! Triple in under an hr. People say hes an alien, other worldly, not human. But Dimash has worked the past 23 yrs to get to be the best. He sings multiple genres, pop, popera, what he calls neo-classical and even raps. Hes a huge fan of Michael Jackson and Andre Bocelli so that gives you an idea. Imo I would love to see you react to

As others have stated, it is live. What you must know is that Dimash's concerts are at least 3 hours long....so yeah, you're going to see some sweat, as Dimash gives 110%. He jumps around, he dances, he raps, belts.....sings his heart out. Because it was live, but digital, he doesn't have a real live audience before him (just on the tube)....so he can't feed his adrenaline off that, yet, you can't even tell (he really gives his all). Can you imagine doing that? Very difficult. This was a gift to us, his Dears.....to be able to see him live, but in the comfort of your home, as most of us where quarantined.

I saw him live in NY 12-19. Dimash gets on his knees often as well as shaking the mic back and forth swiftly. It’s his way of letting you know that he is not lip synching.

Dimash is such a master performer that there is often a lot of controversy over which songs are lip-synched and which ones are not. There are some performances in which lip-synching is obvious and others in which it is hard to tell. As you journey through Dimash's amazing catalog of music, be aware that some Dears (Dimash fans) will blindly claim that everything he sings is live. Of course, that is not true. That being said, I think this one is live, but I don't know that for sure and, in the end, it doesn't really matter because it is Dimash's performance of the song, whether pre-recorded or not, that makes it as dynamic as it is.
I tend to think his S O S performances are live because they are sung slightly different each time,
@@michaelelliott8536 I agree. Most are live. Of course, the EMI/Gala performance was a lip-synch of the 2021 digital one that this reactor just watched, but Dimash performed it so brilliantly almost no one gave it a second thought!

@@anahills3836 Yes, indeed----along with the fact that the venue in which he was performing wasn't able to accommodate a live vocal performance. Both of those reasons are why lip-synching is occasionally useful.
У Димаша на официальном канале в ютубе указаны живые и не живые выступления. Он никогда этого не скрывал. А вот верить ЕМУ или нет , Вам решать. Не живые выступления не могли быть исполнены по многим причинам, в основном это технические аспекты, особенно в России на ТВ и другие.
Это выступление с онлайн концерта. И заявлено оно, как живое. Единственное, что показано в бэкстейдже, снималось оно в Украине и заняли целый день, весь онлайн концерт снимали весь день.
To comment on your last remark: It is astonishing to which high ranges Dimash can extend his chest-heavy mix. You get an example of this in Sinful Passion, which contains according ao a prominent vocal expert the best 24 seconds of singing ever sung.
