Not just an incedible gift, but incredible hard work. He's averaged a few hours a day, sometimes many more, of voice training for over 24 years. He's the Jackie Chan of vocals - ironically he's now friends with JC :). And it wasn't 'chance'. His mother and father are famous singers, his mother for opera, a cultural hero of Kazakhstan. He's an absolute gift to the world. If you ever get the chance to hear him live then go!

If you take songs from his YT channel, they will have English subtitles (since he sings in many different languages). He is indeed as close to Mr. Perfect as one can get in this life. Not only does he have all the talents and attributes you mentioned, but he also has a 7+octave vocal range, is a composer, sings in many different genres ( everything from classical to pop to rap) and is highly educated (currently working in his PhD in musicology). I have been listening Dimash for 2 years, since I heard this special song, and I am sure he is the best vocalist now in the world. And a great performer. If you will listen more from him, you'll see. While he can do all of that, we have to keep in mind that he is mostly only good in these types of songs. He is not one to sing rock/rap and sound good for others. They definitely don't match his voice well.
@@jonny9597I strongly disagree. He sounded great when he covered Queen, especially with the Super Vocal Boys, and his Michael Jackson duet with Laure Shang was awesome. The rap part in Be With Me is very well done and executed. And some of the songs that actually suit his voice best are his pop songs like Fly Away or Zhalyn. His tone of voice is very versatile and you can tell rock and pop music is the one that he actually likes to listen and dance to and that he has the most fun performing. So no, it totally suits his voice. Even his distorted metal screams like in TSOOS sound really good

This was a digital show Dimash put on during covid. At a time when we were all so disconnected, the concert played round the world. We paid ten or twenty dollars for a 90 minute show we all watched together. It was after lunch on a Saturday for U.K.. no expense was spared, four new songs plus favourites, new graphics, costumes, dance routines etc. he named his fans dears as we are as dear to him as his family. All his songs are amazing. My favourite is Stranger from New Wave 2021. It’s in English and epic!
And I really remember this performance.. bcs one of loyal "Dears" from China gave me this virtual concert ticket. Covid really a worst nightmare for my family, but Dimash' concert gave me joy ❤

Hi Gary, I'm a former Phish fan! I say "former" because once I discovered Dimash six years ago, all of my favorite music of my music obsessed life immediately went onto the back burner and became less important to me. What Dimash brings to the table is so varied, so unique, and so incredible that I find these days it's all Dimash all the time! If you investigate further, I think you'll understand why that is the case for so many of us.
I agree totally with you SOS was always a song favorite of mine but I never heard it performed anywhere near the perfection DIMASH gives to this song, that was over 6 yrs ago and I am still listening to him daily. He is one in a Millennium talent.

He has a younger brother (15 y.o.) who is a composer and musician; a younger sister who is also talented but shy. She is studying medicine. His parents are both singers. He just lost his beloved grandfather. His grandmother lives with them as well. He is a funny, goofy, serious, and kind man who just turned 29 a few months ago. His grandmother noticed his musical talent early on and at 5 years old was already attending music school. He still studies and trains. He practices 3 or more hours a day. You are so right. This is Dimashs' time and I am so glad that I am here for it. Dimash began his studies at the age of five and knew that singing was his destiny. A piano teacher found that he had perfect pitch at the age of three. He has been studying music for 20+ years and now has his Ph.D. in music composition. He still trains vocally for 3-5 hrs. a day every day. He is so humble, kind, caring, and generous. He always makes sure to introduce all of the people who make his concerts what they are. It will be in Russian but has subtitles. There is no end to the talent of this man and top it off with the fact he is so humble and so respectful. He has fans all over the world so if you do more Dimash you will get responses from everywhere. Going to a Dimash concert is an incredible event. It's really nice to see a knowledgeable reaction from someone who has done a little research on the artist first. The one thing I would recommend is that instead of downloading the lyrics you just turn on the subtitles instead. Dimash has subtitles on his channel in up to 27 languages provided by some of the 140 fanclubs. I would recommend listening to Stranger next as it's in English and you won't have to worry about subtitles anyway.

Not just an incedible gift, but incredible hard work. He's averaged a few hours a day, sometimes many more, of voice training for over 24 years. He's the Jackie Chan of vocals - ironically he's now friends with JC :). And it wasn't 'chance'. His mother and father are famous singers, his mother for opera, a cultural hero of Kazakhstan. He's an absolute gift to the world. If you ever get the chance to hear him live then go!

Su música fue un gran bálsamo que me ayudó a calmar mis miedos y dolores. Estaba tan asombrada que no podía parar de escucharlo. No es algo místico ni nada parecido. If you take songs from his YT channel, they will have English subtitles (since he sings in many different languages). He is indeed as close to Mr. Perfect as one can get in this life. Not only does he have all the talents and attributes you mentioned, but he also has a 7+octave vocal range, is a composer, sings in many different genres ( everything from classical to pop to rap) and is highly educated (currently working in his PhD in musicology). And to top it off, he is a genuinely nice, caring person who is concerned about those less fortunate and often speaks and sings about World peace. While he can do all of that, we have to keep in mind that he is mostly only good in these types of songs. He is not one to sing rock/rap and sound good for others. They definitely don't match his voice well.
@@jonny9597I strongly disagree. He sounded great when he covered Queen, especially with the Super Vocal Boys, and his Michael Jackson duet with Laure Shang was awesome. The rap part in Be With Me is very well done and executed. And some of the songs that actually suit his voice best are his pop songs like Fly Away or Zhalyn. His tone of voice is very versatile and you can tell rock and pop music is the one that he actually likes to listen and dance to and that he has the most fun performing. So no, it totally suits his voice. Even his distorted metal screams like in TSOOS sound really good

This was a digital show Dimash put on during covid. At a time when we were all so disconnected, the concert played round the world. We paid ten or twenty dollars for a 90 minute show we all watched together. It was after lunch on a Saturday for U.K.. no expense was spared, four new songs plus favourites, new graphics, costumes, dance routines etc. he named his fans dears as we are as dear to him as his family. All his songs are amazing. My favourite is Stranger from New Wave 2021. It’s in English and epic!

Hi Gary, I'm a former Phish fan! I say "former" because once I discovered Dimash six years ago, all of my favorite music of my music obsessed life immediately went onto the back burner and became less important to me. What Dimash brings to the table is so varied, so unique, and so incredible that I find these days it's all Dimash all the time! If you investigate further, I think you'll understand why that is the case for so many of us.

Congratulations, you just witnessed the greatest vocalist alive. He is a twenty-nine year old multi-faceted artist with a soul of a thousand years, who hails from Kazakhstan. He sings in 16 different languages (speaks Kazakh and Russian fluently, some English, and a little Mandarin), plays 8 musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in musicology (has a Masters in composition). He’s been training since the age of 5, has a 7 octave 2 semi-tone range, has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble and kind man. His mother is an opera singer and his father is a singer and producer. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend "Sinful Passion" 2018, "Stranger" 2021,"Olimpico" 2019 link on Igor Krutoy's (composer that came out of retirement to work with Dimash) UA-cam channel, "Adagio" from The Singer 2017, "Ikanaide" 2021 Tokyo Jazz Festival, and "Ave Maria" 2021 at New Wave. After digesting those performances, I can't stress enough my recommendation for one of his most recent songs and music video (mini movie) the artistic masterpiece "The Story of One Sky" that he wrote the screenplay for and spent 3 years composing the music for, which displays a lot of his range (not all) and soooo many vocal techniques and dynamics, including sub harmonics, whistle register, bass, tenor, baritone, classical, jazz, pop, rock and unreal metal screams....and unbelievable dramatic acting. He has a younger brother (15 y.o.) who is a composer and musician; a younger sister who is also talented but shy. She is studying medicine. His parents are both singers. He just lost his beloved grandfather. His grandmother lives with them as well. He is a funny, goofy, serious, and kind man who just turned 29 a few months ago. His grandmother noticed his musical talent early on and at 5 years old was already attending music school. He still studies and trains. He practices 3 or more hours a day. You are so right. This is Dimashs' time and I am so glad that I am here for it. Dimash began his studies at the age of five and knew that singing was his destiny. A piano teacher found that he had perfect pitch at the age of three. He has been studying music for 20+ years and now has his Ph.D. in music composition. He still trains vocally for 3-5 hrs. a day every day. He is so humble, kind, caring, and generous. He always makes sure to introduce all of the people who make his concerts what they are. @@phishfan SOS is a song that made DIMASH famous when he joined chinese competition SINGER in 2017. you reacted to his later version of the song. i would advise to go back to 2017 to react to songs he performed back then but stranger is also good choice. stranger is a song wrote just for him so he is able to show much more

It's really nice to see a knowledgeable reaction from someone who has done a little research on the artist first. The one thing I would recommend is that instead of downloading the lyrics you just turn on the subtitles instead. Dimash has subtitles on his channel in up to 27 languages provided by some of the 140 fanclubs.
I would recommend listening to Stranger next as it's in English and you won't have to worry about subtitles anyway.
