  • My first Water Simulation Rendered at 5k Resolution, with just 32 Samples Per Pixel supplemented by the new denoising compositor node added to the latest Beta build of Blender.
I messed up and pressed Ctrl Z toward the end of the bake, so only 193 frames of the Simulation were actually baked but to supplement the shortened 60 FPS render I looped it back on itself.
The Simulation it's self doesn't look great for a few reasons, however the quality of the rendered frames at just 32 samples per pixel is astounding and it makes Animation like this SIGNIFICANTLY FASTER to Render.
All Frames were Rendered at 5k, but when I rendered the Final video I set it to render the video as 8k so that I could eliminate as much UA-cam Compression as possible.
Each frame out of 193 took just 3 minutes to render on a 2080 ti, to render even faster I used 4 PCs in total, 2 with 2080 tis and 2 with 1080 tis.
Total Render Time would be in the zone of 3 hours.

PS: In Previous tests simply uploading as 5k removed the artifacts as seen on a 4k TV, but interestingly here at 8k and it appears to be more visible! Next time I'm sticking to 5k 60. Plus the fact that uploading this video to youtube as 8k took longer than rendering it...

@@HostadDigitalMedia Console peasants wouldn't, but people of finer quality who appreciate path traced 3D Rendering or even just hardware are interested in knowing the stats.
