Hahaha, all those cute little Germans that you passed on the sidewalk facing you were ALL gawking at the car, probably thinking, "What the HELL is that guy driving? I've never seen such an amazing piece of machinery before!" Classic American craftmanship, ftw!
I'll bet on the highway almost nobody passes him , just rides alongside, and why not. seen it happen here in USA with a 59 El Camino, slowed the whole highway down.
Actually...the movie is well known over here🤷♂️ so many people also know Christine 🚗at least the older generations👨👴. Young people are jusz interested it sex, parties, video games and shit...its probably the same in the US lol...but Christine...of course i know christine...like...since i saw the movie when i was 15 or so. Im 29 now...
They really knew how to build cars back in the 50's. Not only were they reliable and easy to work on. But they were stylish. And that engine. If you have one of these beauties. Hang on to it. A work of art on 4 wheels.
Ich habs mir schon am Anfang gedacht, als ich die Häuser sah das muss irgendwo bei Ulm sein^^ Hmm... ich liebe diese alten Straßenkreuzer mit den schönen Heckflossen, einfach herrlich ^^
Excellent mate. If we don't drive them to work (at least in the good weather) then they're just toys. Designed to work, not sit around! These cars weren't too well received back in the day, but oddly the body shape has come of age and is more appreciated now...by many, at least.
Its in Germany in the area of Ulm. And yes such a beauty is a rare here...imagine that people already would stare at you if you drove a chrysler minivan over here so a 50s plymouth is like...damn THAT is a fucking awesome car...many people also know the movie at least car guys so...so they know that this is a famous car also.🤘
Shes a real head turner especially where you live! Nice restoration! Its nice to see things that were made in Michigan still driving around the world :)
Oh God, this engine is the best symphony ever made by the human kind! Wish I have one of those! Perfect Car! She is beautiful man, congratulations for this dream car!
Love all the cars from that era, they were just cool. And love the Lawrence Welk commercial too. American pride, style and looking toward the future. If only they knew.....
I had one. My grandfather bought it, sold it to my father, my father gave it to me cause it had such bad gas mileage, it got about 6 miles to a gallon on a good day. It was really fast, I totaled it going about 80. I wish I still had it, it was so cool.
I was amazed at how fast it picks up speed.Theres no Plastic in that car. They were really heavy.I love the Instrument cluster. You Drive down the road in one of those it's like you're Floating
I love Christine cars! I hope somewhere I can buy one that has been beautifully restored someday! So the camera is an antique and why the video looks like it was the 1950s right?
I am outside the US indeed. Still looking for a clean copy of the Plymouth Polka. It came from an old UA-cam video that has first been posted many years ago. Someone just recorded the sound from speaker of the record player.
You might want to check your cooling system I have seen your temperature gage up pretty high. You might want to take it in and have the cooling system competely flushed out new thermostat and fresh anitfreeze
1950's nostalgics It must be a Fury or a Belvedere because the title says Christine's on the road again and Christine was a Fury but in the movie they used a Belvedere
Christine was actually a 58 Fury. In the movie, Belvedere's were used because more cars were available. The actual movie car Christine is a Belvedere. This one in this video looks like a Belvedere, not a Fury.
All of the songs in the movie were produced in 1958.. They same model year as the car's. Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly for example. Until their untimely death on Feb.3rd 1959!
Is the entire column that the steering wheel is on... Is that loose? I see during the video as he's going along that it almost looks like it is, that's concerning. Otherwise, nothing bad to say about the car. It's also kind of funny how you're driving a right-hand drive, American land barge in what looks to be Europe! I bet that turns a lot of heads.
DragonKing no, those old clocks were self winding electric. When the spring was getting unwound. A little electric motor sound it up. Then it ran on the spring just like a mechanical watch.
God i love this car .
so do i
then merry it and make little cars

I love christine
Christine in Germany!!! That was beautiful to watch. Enjoyed every minute of it. My all-time favourite car! Subbed!!!
Christine in Deutschland, dass gefällt mir : )
Since I was little in the 80s I was a big fan of old cars
Jerome Cabral lol, I was born in 2000 and I'd rather take this car over a Porsche or Lamborghini any day

Just a beautiful, cool, and iconic automobile. The coolest gauge cluster/speedometer package ever put together in a production car, IMHO.

Looks like somewhere in Europe or something. Must be 10x cooler to see in a foreign country because of the rare nature of the car

Cars today are designed with the cold logic of a machine. Cars like this were designed with the artistic soul of a person.
I bet everyone driving down the road that day had a good look at your car and said:
"Mmm-mmm, Christine showing off like usual."
You lucky, lucky man! Thanks for sharing.
Christine is very cool looking car for a 1958 Plymouth Fury i love it
I so want wone.

what model is it? a fury, a belvedere, a savoy?

Christine was actually a 58 Fury. In the movie, Belvedere's were used because more cars were available. The actual movie car Christine is a Belvedere. This one in this video looks like a Belvedere, not a Fury.
Its a belvedere. The fury speedometer has a top speed of 150 mph this one has 120 mph speedometer. My dad and grandpa used to work for chrysler.
A fury
A Belvedere. The Fury’s speedometer goes up to 150. A Belvedere’s goes up to 120.
Great car! Where'd you find the song? I've heard it before, but I can't find it anywhere.
This was an old commercial record someone posted on UA-cam years ago. I made an MP3 of it back then, the original video has disappeared since then.
Amazing !
57 58 and 59 Plymouth furys were the absolute best!
I want that car so much!!
So awesome
Good for you! Drive your 1958 Plymouth every day.

Ist das der Belvedere aus der aktuellen Oltimer Markt ? Schöne Arbeit und bestimmt obercool irgendwo in nem deutschen Kaff.
This is kinda personal but how much did you spend? Owning a 58 Plymouth fury has been my dream for like ever haha

I don’t know if you still respond but what is the song
It's called "Plymouth Polka", a song from an old commercial 78rpm record. I found it on the internet many years ago and downloaded the audio.
I want one that can drive by itself like in Christine 🚘
Do you have an exhaust system on that?
Im looking for a 1958 Fury "Christine" restoral needed is ok ¯ know anyone that might know somebody?
Great video!
Is it a Savoy?
How much did it cost.
Can you tell me what the music at the begining please ? I heard "I drive a Plymouth"
That's an old Plymouth commercial song from 1957. I saved the audio from a UA-cam video I found years ago but I can't find it anymore.
Oh ok :( thanks anyway !

Clock broken ?
Those clocks are *always* broken. I've been told they often stopped working after a few years or so...
+AudioMobil or people were cutting the wires because they used up ALOT of power killing the battery
