Alltbeithe (Affric) munro trek Jul 2020. Sgurr nan Ceathramhnan, An Socach, Mullach nan Dheiragain

A day out on three remote munros located near the Glen Affric Youth hostel at Alltbeithe. Starting at Glen Affric car park and following the glen Affric trail alongside loch Affric , via Strawberry cottage then onto the remote youth hostel at Alltbeithe (closed due to covid) The ascent starts behind the bothy and climbs up onto the ridge before heading up the summit of An Socach. Returning to the bealach then descenidng into glen and crossing over to the other side to catch the 3km ridge out to Mullach na Dheiragain. A return along the ridge then a final ascent up onto the summit of Sgurr na Ceathramhnan. Excellent weather and some nice views captured on drone and gopro. A descent back down to the bothey and then a long return to the car park, hounded by the dreaded midge. Best in 4k settings. Cheers

Thanks, I descended a bit from the summit and walked a wee bit before taking a bearing toward albeithe bithy keeping to the right then straight fir the bithy when it came into view. Been that way before so knew the ground was good..hope this helps..cheers Kenny

Another stunning video - must get a drone myself. I know I keep asking this but on the route you took is it possible to cycle to the youth hostel from parking in Glen Affric? Thanks.

No worries, yes there is a great road to end of loch then once passed strawberry cottage the track becomes rougher but cycleable to Albeithe bothy. Cheers Kenny

Wow! Very profesional :) wilkie murray has competition now. What drone did you get? I just got the Mavic air 2 and love it, we done two of those ones yesterday with the munro tops from killilan, bloody hard days wherever you do them from.

@@scottishkennyg cool, nice drone :) I never got munro summit shots it was a bit windy (the usual) but got some a bit lower down though. your shots looked brill, looking forward to seeing more :)
