INFP here. I must say, if you approach MBTI based on the eight cognitive functions and the relationship you have with them, with all eight ways of thinking (for the MBTI nerds among us Te, Ti, Fe, Fi, Se, Si, Ne and Ni), it's extremely powerful, knowing what it means that as an INFP you need to be able to think in the Fi-way and the Ne-way a lot, that you NEED to let them lead, no matter what your environment says. Or if you're an INFJ, which seems very similar to INFP if you just look at the four letter code, you have to let your Ni-way of thinking and your Fe-way of thinking lead the way to be at your strongest. And people who have been neglected need to be at their strongest to make it. For me it's a great help, knowing what's cognitively feasable if I want to better myself.

I'm an Enneagram type 7 but both MB and Enneagram didn't explain as much as astrology has for me. Knowing where my wound is and working with my Chiron among so many other important aspects has helped to heal me more than anything. I'm really excited to begin Tim Fletcher's Lift program in 2 weeks!

A thinker will be like Solomon - thinks in terms of analyzing things in order to make a judgement.
A feeler will instead want to understand how things effect people - have empathy - understand them - non judgement vs asking questions to figure out right and wrong.

You talk as if we ALL have family to love us in our journey as adults. We don't. I'm alone. 62 woman, never married. How sad. I have no motivation in life any more.

I am 65. Alone. I find that MeetUp is an excellent way to meet folks. And you are an adult as well as the child. You can reparent yourself. We know how our parents failed and we know now what is right and wrong.

He doesn’t always. He doesn’t want us to blame people, but rather to accept where we are now & heal ourselves. You can’t change the past anymore than I can change mine. Find a group, sewing, art class, music, lessons, book club, or something were you can find people. It’s hard, but I know you can do it. Every journey begins with one step. 🙏🏼❤️‍🩹

Im basically everyone and morph into various personalities I’ve seen fairly automatically. It’s like I learned to operate by seeing various personalities on screen rather than having a new mother. So, I don’t really have my own strong signature personality.

First I would not protect my parents for their narcissistic abuse and would have turned them into child protective services and take accountability for myself and for letting abusive people in my life along with my son's Father he should have gone to jail for the things he did to me along with my parents forsing me into another narcissistic dysfunctional family and my son's grandmother should have been jailed for hiding all the beatings I didn't have a chance and my son I would have given him to them and walked away with my dignity period

How much of this psychological work is necessary? Christian mystics teaches us that there is no such a thing as a personality or ego in the first place.
