It took three weeks to get my boy up and down the stairs. We adopted him at three months, but knew we had to get it done as soon as possible because he was going to be a big boy who wouldn't be able to be carried for much longer. (He has Doberman and rottweiler in him, as well as other breeds.) I found sitting with him on the steps and guiding him down on a leash helped. He mastered up sooner than he mastered down.
This was great to watch dogs do learn from each other from what I have seen over the years and we have a great Golden retriever best dog I have ever had love him to bits 🐶🐶🐶👍
I remember teaching my very tiny yorkipoo to do stairs. I live in a single story house but there are a few stairs that lead down from the back door. He was determined to learn. He didn't have a Kobe to help but I think I did a good job.
I got a dobie pup in high school. We had a great dane to help him adjust. He tried to do everything she did. She was still young enough to play a little rough, so he turned into a physical beast (30lbs heavier than average and pure muscle). Best dogs I have ever had.
Dogs learn from other dogs. My golden puppy was initially a bit hesitant about going into the water but then not wanting to miss out on his friends fun just rushed in after them. 👍👍🤗
Puppy body is sooo long she had hard time coordinating her move and scaring herself .... but she got support from Big Dog Kobi! They have so much fun playing together 👍🦴🐾💚
my dogs were afraid to go down the stairs also, until i held each foot and took them down the stairs one at a time, then after that they had no trouble
Poor baby! We had a dog once with serious issues with the basement stairs. I don't remember how long it took me to coax him down the stairs. i did put in time sitting next to him, and scooting down, one step at a time. repeatedly. I think it's a dog thing .He was fine with any of the other stairs in the house.
Kobe is such a help BFF. Puppies are funny, Dobermans are the best at smelling bad people. In America it is standard to have the ears cut, and tails docked. (shortened).
Doberman’s tails are incredibly expressive and important for their communication. Their ears are the softest I have ever felt. The fashion of cutting and wiring them in USA needs to stop.
So not to be a pill - just giving my real experience- I am not a fan of collars - I find a harness with the latch at the chest the most effective- the collar obviously is at the neck and there is a lot of reasons this isn’t good - the latch at the chest discourages pulling and encourages the proper heel position- ❤
It is not good for big dogs to get up the stairs taht young. Bad for hips on the long term. You can wait for 2-3 more months for safety… (yes I have big dogs)
If the dog is at all food motivated, put a treat on each step. If not, try a toy and/or a leash as others suggest. Build confidence, don't just expect the dog to magically get it. Animals don't _have_ to suffer to learn a new skill. It's not particularly funny to watch a youngster of any species struggle.
So good to see her natural ears and tail.
I was going to comment the same. She was such a precious little fur baby. She is still a beautiful dog.😊❤
Beautiful ! Thank you for sharing! I LOVE that you didn’t clip her ears and tail!
Thank you! She looks so much better all natural 😄
So cute!❤❤
Watching that sweet relationship form just makes my day….so adorable ❤
Thank you for taking the time to watch! 😄

Puppies and kittens being afraid of stairs is my favorite thing

You said, “just one more”.
my black lab couldn't jump up onto the couch for months when he was a pup. i thought he was broken. jk XD
Collars are bad for the neck if you pull on it regularly. My doberman sustained a neck injury from a collar leash.mHarness is best for dog walking.

She shouldn't be rushed! Will get there in her own time. She is scared so kindly show some understanding!
Does anyone know what kind of dog that is, I have the same exact one
She’s a Doberman 🐶
@@thegoldenkobefamily thank you, I’ve only seen Dobermans with the pointy ears and stubby tail-I didn’t realize there were other types
To be honest those collars are way too wide and look bulky

Typical dog owner who won't help the dog, in a time of need. It takes another dog to do what wasn't done by the owner.
Silly comment.
The pup needed to learn! She was in no danger 😅
I bet you put clothes on your dog
Moki’s a _Doberman._ She _can’t_ be carried for all her life so she’s gotta learn how to use stairs _some point_ in her life.
It’s terrible to watch
At this age dogs should not climb stairs
Rubbish
