Nice recipe and delicious looking rice, but as a turk i like to add some suggestions (some essential steps defining Turkish Pilav) , (1) you should roast the rice for a bit before adding water (about 5 minutes, I even prefer to roast more until they become yellowish, trust me this brings rice to a whole new level). (2) you should add chicken or beef stock, (3) if you want to roast as I say, try less aromatic rices (I love basmati but it becomes disgustingly too flavourful after roasting) (4) and once on the plate, season with generous amount of freshly ground pepper before eating (5) If you eat it alone add some Turkish or Greek yoghurt (6) and finally no one does it, thats my weirdness but i also pour some lemon juice after pepper (and everyone I forcibly made taste, loved it, just try)

lovely video, can I just ask as im making this, would the 15 minutes covered evaporate the water? as i feel like ive used the right amount but it won’t get rid of it, or should i keep it with lid off after 15 mins to let it evaporate

Keep lid on my lovely if not you can transfer rice to a microwave dish pop rice in cover it with a plate and put on for 5 min to dry out the moisture. Advice always use same cup to measure rice and water
