- Asselin a récemment restauré de la Galerie de Guise du Château d'Eu en Normandie. La pièce avait été détruite dans un incendie en 1902. Pour lui redonner sa beauté d'antan, elle a été complètement restaurée. Asselin a travaillé sur la restitution du parquet à l'identique, les boiseries, les volets intérieurs et les fenêtres.

Une reconstruction très bien faite d'une galerie disparue.
Dommage pour les éléments en composite (poutrelles, pilastres, moulures). Sinon, toujours un travail de qualité digne de votre excellente entreprise. Bravo pour le parquet en parqueterie!

+RogerGT restauration et non création la galerie a brûlée au tout début du xx ème et elle a était refaite à l identique une création c'est une chose que l on invente et là non puisque l on se réfère à des photos existentes vous devriez vous renseignez auprès du monument

+RogerGT une restauration complète d un lieu qui a brûlée est forcément une reconstitution donc faut car ce n'est pas d époque mais c est une restitution à l identique ....Versailles Compiègne et d autres château font la même chose il ne faut pas sortir de la cuisse de Jupiter pour comprendre ça

May I take the liberty of enhancing your comment, by utilising the term `wabi sabi` (侘寂)... The ancient Japanese art of recognising and celebrating the beauty in the naturally imperfect world. Simply... nothing lasts. nothing is finished and nothing is perfect. Be it restoration or reconstruction, it is a pragmatist who preserves anything worthwhile in a positive way.
And what about all the rest of them.....the chateaux,,,,that is....falling down in France, Belgium...are they doomed to the fate of poor NOISY ???
@@tonewheel1773 Words of Wisdom my friend. Yes, ours is to behold things as they are, and not always as we would wish them to be. However, the gentleman above DOES have a point. I spent my working life restoring period antiques. Our work was entirely done by hand. We never used new materials or modern techniques- there were abundant supplies of old materials to be reused on every period piece. For example, in this coverage there were a lot of new (pre-cast) decorative elements used. Plaster and polystyrene CANNOT replace beautiful old wood. However, this traditional French firm DOES know how to do things in the traditional way- they built an exact replica of the biggest three master in the world (the Hermione). Spectacular work that took twenty years to complete. Try to look it up.

@@musamor75 Hi Musamor and thanks for your reply to my comment. I agree with your sentiments and that nothing can replace the real deal. I applaud crafts-people, be they mechanics or wood turners, builders, ect. At your suggestion, I looked up the French frigate, Hermione, and found it fascinating! What a wonderful thing to be able to contribute your skills to. I envy people like you being able to restore something back to it`s original look and use, where as I on the other hand, tend to stuff things up and was never adept at such tasks, but fortunately have skills in other fields. I assume you are retired, but sincerely hope you are still able to restore and use your manual dexterity for your own joy and satisfaction. Kind regards: Tony. Sydney, Australia.

Beau décor de cinéma .Quel est l'intérêt de refaire cette pièce totalement disparue .Restaurer entretenir ok mais tout refaire ??? Pourquoi
Parce que si on ne reconstitue pas les monuments qui ont brûlé, petit à petit il ne restera plus rien !
