It is wonderful to re-watch the amount of clean up and repairs you have made. The thousands of hours, the tons of dirt and ruble moved, the number of trips made to purchase tools and supplies. Absolutely amazing! Congrats Dan
I’ve been delightfully with you from the first gate opening. The shock of the chateaus condition thru to admiring her great bones. Such skilled friends helping from the dedicated Orange pants, talented Cameron and of course the legendary tree man himself, Nick. Thank you Dan for taking us on this satisfying look back journey of skill, determination ,creativity and dedication. I just can’t wait to be invited through the doors into an amazing finished home. I worry about you lots, and hold my breath as you lift, take a back step, or just crawling around up there. Such an inspiration to watch, thank you Dan.
I have been doing property repairs for the last 20 years and I can totally understand why you took this job on daunting as it is. What a beautiful building and setting. A real Labour of love.
Amazing progress with the help of Nick and his machines, Cameron, Calvin (orange pants man), your neighbour and the “bee man”! Lots and lots of good Karma sent to you every step from us here too.
NEVER, did I ever think I would learn to restore a Chateau! Ha! If only I was in my 30’s and found an opportunity to do what you are doing. You are incredibly multifaceted in your knowledge-and you have a sense of humor! Congratulations, Daniel you are an amazing, brilliant, handsome man with the ability to entertain and charm your community, WHILE, you renovate your Chateau, again, congratulations!!!
Wow, thanks Dan for the recap it's really amazing how much you have accomplished!!!😊 They need your help over on Maui!!! We all need to say prayers for the folks that have lost so much, God Bless them all !!!
@@allisonutsch8898 so,so,Lucky 🍀 you still have your son!!! So many are unaccounted for, I pray for your son and everyone else in that beautiful little town!! God Bless
You have changed Dan, during your renovation process, to being Dan the man who can. You have grown up, as you build your lady up. You have also built muscles up, that you never knew you had I am sure? It really is quite remarkable what you have achieved in the last 6 months! Nick and Cameron and Calvin have been such great help, as you progress at break neck speed. Keep safe, and keep on truckin' young man. xxx
I forgot just what the chateau was like before you started. Did it ever seem daunting? I never doubted you Dan! Between you and your friends, you are doing a fantastic job! Power to you! Thanks for taking us along!😊
This compilation must have been so encouraging to edit together; the amount of work it reflects is truly remarkable. You've accomplished a lot in a short period of time, Dan, and it's been a great pleasure watching the progress. I remember when you only had a couple thousand subscribers, and while there've been many tough days, you've inspired many of us. Thanks, and congratulations.
Just imagine how the world would improve if it was full of Dans! A wonderful, intelligent, funny, hard working, resilient man who is loved by us all. Can’t wait for the next 150 days of Dan’s life at the château!
150 days of thrilles , chills, fright, joy, happiness, love and the greatest ambition I've ever witnessed, you have amazing talents, striving for perfection is beautifully achieved. Bless your every move and action. Bless you and your wonderful family.
Flabbergasted at the extent of your achievements in restoring your dilapidated chateau. Just the planning alone is mind boggling to me. What a legacy you are creating for Jack P and Thomas! Congratulations on all your achievements in 150 days of blood, sweat and tears of joy! See ya tomorra. 🙏❤️
Yes he's doing well and mostly on his own, but there is a lot more in front than behind, hopefully he can get the roof on for the first third of the house where he has most of the floors in so he has got inside work to do over Winter, can't see him doing the Stairwell till next year at present and it's already nearly the second week in August!?!
You say both are "unimaginable," but someone had to imagine it, and turn imagination into reality every step of the way (with occasional help from some good friends)! That would be Dan! 😉
He's got the hardest part handled. Envisioning the task, and getting started on it. Dan is doing an awesome job, and putting a lot of pride and love into it.
With such a project it is so important to stop and look back periodically at how far you've come. It helps you realise the progress and is encouraging. I even found myself saying wow I forgot about that, and that and that and oh yeah and THAT.
Thank you for the retrospective!! It's always good to remember where we came from to fully appreciate where we're going. You're one-man show is really spectacular, Dan!
That is a very serious undertaking. Seeing the many tons of dirt that were filling the structure, the trees, the rusted out I beams, and the brick and stone work that needed to be done. That's definitely a huge challenge. Great work.
Those brick archways you made are my favorite part. I think because it's a little bit of beauty in all the structure and hard slogging through dirt and debris. Well done Dan, I'll be here for the next 150 days
Good for marketing purposes for other builders who might donate some of their work in order to claim participation in this historic effort. Multi-win. 🎉
When you first started, I thought you were crazy for taking this on and even crazier for the amount you were doing with no help. There have been several times that i have been on the edge of my seat watching and had to remind myself that you clearly lived through the day because you posted a video. You continue to create quality and compelling content while breathing new life into a beautiful disaster of a building. Please keep going and thank you for bringing us along on your adventure!
Bloody hell. It's only when I watched this it reminded me of how much has been accomplished so far by Dan (and with help from friends at times). I'd completely forgotten about the bee nest. It's become addictive watching Dan. His "good morning" and "see you tomorrow has become part of my life. Well Done Dan. I'm excited to see what happens in the upcoming months ahead.
Good morning team Dan from a freezing cold New Zealand ❤ Those 150 days you have accomplished so much from being beyond super human too even scaring the pargeba’s out of us all … We are so proud of you … Here’s looking forward to the next 150 + zillion days of the amazing reno 😊❤
The amount of progress you have made is absolutely stunning! Seeing the state of the building in the beginning is a reminder of how far you’ve come. I’ve been with you since the beginning of this project wondering if you were mad for taking it on 😊. You have amassed a huge following and I couldn’t be happier for you! Onward and upword!
Aw that was brilliant Dan! An excellent reminder of all you’ve achieved. We were shouting Oh the Tank, Oh the Arches, etc. amazing how fickle I am at forgetting! I just don’t know how you decided what to put in and what to leave out as we know that eleven minutes only scratched the surface of what you’ve achieved, you are just beyond amazing. Honestly, there aren’t words to say how proud I am of you.
Un-flipping-believable. From dirt and trash covered and clear views to the sky (well, except for the trees) to cleared floors and newly installed upper floors in only 150 days, and mostly alone! Ye gads, Dan. Take it easy on yourself. But keep up the good work too.
How fun to watch this Dan. It seems like yesterday we watched all of this unfold. To think it’s been 5 months, how the time flies. Well done. We’re enjoying every minute with you.
Already it’s starting to shine in a very short space of time and one things for sure it will only be getting brighter. Such hard work and determination, well done Dan.
So proud of you Dan! Hubby and I don't miss a single video, we are so emotionally invested in you and the château. Hoping to support you on Patreon soon! Well done and congrats on 150 days of renovations!
Dan my favorite man. Since the beginning you have given all of yourself to the renovations of the chateau. Labor has been the biggest challenge. You have shown such great courage and strength in bringing back this home. Until next time. Take care and stay safe my love. 🍺🙏🌹😇🕊🇺🇸❤️🌈🌞👍
Dan when you look at this and think that it took you 5 months to get this far and all that rubble you had to move and floors to put in, is incredible and it is amazing with everything else in between the garden, the yurt, making your daily vlogs, bee removal etc etc You are amazing and Dan take your time, slowly slowly take rests, you are amazing and we appreciate your videos and what you and your team do Nick, and the others that have helped just relax and enjoy your chateau build and thank you for sharing with us. Lord knows how much you will get done in the next 150 days if you have done this in these 150 days. Have a lovely week end.
When this video first started I was like, "OH YEAH, it looked like that." How quickly we forget. It is absolutely astounding how much you have accomplished. This video also highlighted how much work Nic and cameron have accomplished outside as well. All this in less than 6 months. The word 'inspiring" comes to mind. 🧡
Great work Dan. I am currently working on my four bedroom Victorian house. Before binging on your chateau renovation, I felt as though my project was as huge as yours and bordering on overwhelming. Watching your work has really given me perspective and liberated me to push on. Having said that.... No I wont make any H&S remarks, its all been said. Good job , great effort. Stay alive .
Let's all hope the weather improves! Dan you are amazing, scary but amazing. And I remember when you were just repairing the odd roof and porch back on your farm project.
Wow, when you put it all together, it’s amazing what you’ve accomplished in less than half a year, & those of us who’ve watched from the beginning know that you’ve done much more than you showed here. I hope that by doing this compilation & having some fun at Steph’s this week, you’ve had a bit of a rest & recharged your batteries 💕
You never cease to amaze me. Your tenacity, mental and physical determination. Your family must be so proud of you and your achievements. May you keep going on till you forefill your dreams and then enjoy the fruits of your labour. Bravo.
So happy to see just how much you have achieved in 150 days and will be here for the next 150 and more. I'd just love to add my voice to the chorus of "so proud of all your achievements and indefatigable spirit." The sheer amount of effort, hard grit and dogged determination that has brought you here is truly an inspiration to so many of us to get moving and create something. Thank you Dan for posting and I hope you have had at least a little rest after filming Stephanie's patreon days etc etc, your health is a priority.
150 days went by very fast. Somehow watching at this speed makes me more tired. And worried, you seemed to take some chances with your well being. So glad to be on the journey with you. Congratulations Dan! 🎉🎉🎉🎉👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I have to say, you did remarkably well. I imagine that a small firm of professional external builders wouldn't have gone so far so quickly and so entertainingly!
Dan is the real "Chatelain". He's had 150 days and transformed the place. Stephanie at Lalaland has had 15 years or more and wallpapered a few rooms or so. Now it's all got to be redone due to structural problems. Talk about neglect! Could it be something to do with the fact that Dan works his ass off, while she jetsets around quaffing champagne and frittering away money?
@@CaraBrimleyRules You give Stephany no credit. I suggest you do some research before you belittle her. There has been major work done. So what have you achieved in 15 years.
man, this is way too good. Only a few people in the world can do things like this and you are one of them! keep up the good content together with the great restauration
It is helpful to see it all together like this. One forgets all that goes into something like this as each new project starts. Nothing about the newest floors and Yurt. You will be quite famous by the time the roof gets on. No one in the entire world is doing such a HUGE job basically alone. YOU ARE AMAZING!
Looking back its mind numbing how much dirt you all removed from the chateau and that’s not including the rubbish, the trees and other plant life. Truly epic. Still the memories of it all happening were a joy to watch again. So, ever onwards, take care guys 🌸
AMAZING!!! What a great diary this is for you and your sons. It is hard to believe that so much has been done in really a short time. You are one very clever and determined man Dan Love it 🤗
Your personal achievements in only 150 days are absolutely awe inspiring. I truly believe no-one else would have had the stamina to get this far. Congratulations Dan.
I can't believe it's been 150 days we've been rooting you on with all your hard work! You've done a fantastic job of giving that old lady a makeover. Love your videos!
I think I started watching your daily videos in the second week. And every day, whether it is in the middle of the night or at breakfast, I am really looking forward to the new video. You are doing such a great job, keep it up!
Just found your channel! This is quite an undertaking and just incredible that one can even own such old buildings. Like buying a bt of history. Have learned one thing...building in Europe is very different from the US! None of the stuff you;re doing applied to my home restoration. Very impressive that you know how to do masonry, steelwork, etc. along with all the labor intensive clean-up and can even safely limb and fell trees! Really look forward to seeing the progress!
Wow its amazing what you have done in 150 days Dan, I had forgotten some of it. But putting it together like that you can see how much you have done and how it has changed. WELL DONE x
Insane progress Dan - not only on the building but there’s a bit more beef of the twigs for arms now with all that hard work!! 😊 that’s a compliment by the way..
How amazing is that to watch back of all the hard work you’ve come soooo far!! What an amazing legacy you’ll be leaving you children. I love what your doing. I would love to have the guts the talent and sheer determination you have (and the money) to restore history while making history. Love watching your progress. 👏🏻
150 days! What you have accomplished in this amount of time is totally amazing! It's been a blast watching your vlogs and I think I can speak for other viewers as well as myself, the next 150 will be just as exciting! Congrats Dan!!!🎉🎉🎉
Ooh! I really enjoyed that. Each step that came on I would think " oh this was my favorite bit!" Then another then another. In fact the whole thing is my favorite bit! Loved it, thank you!
Fantastic Even better when you put it all together We forget how far you’ve traveled There is going to be a once again beautiful chateau in amongst these trees ✊✊👍👍👍💕🕊️
Watching you working on the chateau is a real treat! Also watching your life is very nice. Two years now I watch your vlogs and I want more and more! Proud to be a patreon!💋
You are such a hardworking man, I applaud you! The progress you’ve made is incredible. This will become a very beautiful chateau, for sure. Its layout is so unique.
Those arches are beautiful, Nicks cat going through the door was remarkable, the brick work impeccable, you carrying all the timber’s, you and Kat working like dogs on the tiles, thank goodness for your friends who came to help. But it was mainly a one man show. Dan the man. Thanks for letting us see it. I remember the first time your family came there together. That was the day for inspiration. G e e what skill..
Great flash back to what you’ve accomplished in 150 days. I’ve followed you for a while and I knew it was a ton of work and projects but seeing it from your side it is incredible. You’ve see your most happiest when you get a room clean and then that switches to making arches and another switch to floor joists and the actual floors. It is fun and amazing to watch everything you’re accomplishing. Loved seeing you over on The château diaries yesterday and hearing some of Stephanie’s patrons mentioning about being worried you’ll fall. Thank you for sharing!
It’s been a fantastic journey so far and my daily watch has been a highlight. So far my most favourite things has been , cleaning out all the debris and watching Nick clear a restore the woods. You have a great team . You are amazing of what you have achieved so far. Looking forward to more, well done mate 🐨🥰
What you have accomplished in such a relatively short time is nothing but amazing. The chateau "feels" stronger, proud. It's really stunning. Watching that synopsis of the last 150 days with you on that wobbly scaffolding makes, no doubt all of us, breathe a sigh of relief that you have the new scaffolding. Your ability is never in question. Being safe is something else again. We want to see the chateau and you continue to rise. Very proud of you. Now please belt up or whatever is needed to be safe. Sorry to be a bit of a nag. That wobbly scaffolding was a bit breath catching. Congratulations on all you have accomplished. It's truly remarkable.
If the Chateau was a person, it as well, as breathing a sigh of relief and ooh that feels good! I'm loved again! Had that impression when my husband jacked up an old sagging house. Could hear her in my head how good that made her feel.
Welcome back. A great deal of work has been done at the chateau in a year. You accomplished a fantastic video day at Stephanie’s well done Dan she is lucky having a friend like you to help out.
Seeing as we have watched every episode, this recap almost made my angst return of when I saw your chateau the very first day. Simply superb camera work, music and content. Brilliant. I cannot wait to visit.
Great vlog log Dan. Its been a journey but you have stuck with it, I have great admiration to you. Keep it up I’m enjoying your journey, so are a few others! Stay well.
It's only been 150 days?? What an amazing transformation in such a short time and with little help. Seeing the beekeeper taking out the bees, have you gotten any honey from him yet? Nick and Cameron have done an excellent job with the forest and cleaning up around the outside. And Calvin helping you muck out the first level. All that dirt and debris must have been daunting to say the least. 🍺😎🍺
Wow, you are amazing, I can't believe you are doing this mostly by yourself and filming at the same time...Can't wait for the next video, I watched all of them in 3 days...LOL
It is wonderful to re-watch the amount of clean up and repairs you have made. The thousands of hours, the tons of dirt and ruble moved, the number of trips made to purchase tools and supplies. Absolutely amazing! Congrats Dan

Chef, gardener, vlogger, drone pilot, videographer, substitute chatelaine, and restorer of chateaux . . . you truly are a renaissance man Dan.
Don't forget: husband, father, friend!
I often think these historic buildings heal us as we heal them. ❤
@@riasimons3200this 👏👏💖
@@CaraBrimleyRules You give Stephany no credit. I suggest you do some research before you belittle her. There has been major work done. So what have you achieved in 15 years.
man, this is way too good. Only a few people in the world can do things like this and you are one of them! keep up the good content together with the great restauration
Been an absolute joy to watch thus far. Can hardly wait for the next 150 days. Thank you for including us
It looks great just getting the dirt and plants out. Great project! Interesting to see the renovation from the ground up instead the top down.
Amazing job mate. It’s an honor and privilege, to share this journey with you. Cheers from down under.
It is helpful to see it all together like this. One forgets all that goes into something like this as each new project starts. Nothing about the newest floors and Yurt. You will be quite famous by the time the roof gets on. No one in the entire world is doing such a HUGE job basically alone. YOU ARE AMAZING!
Great to see you spent a weekend at Stephanie’s for the patreon days. You deserve some fun and a break. 🇦🇺
Looking back its mind numbing how much dirt you all removed from the chateau and that’s not including the rubbish, the trees and other plant life. Truly epic. Still the memories of it all happening were a joy to watch again. So, ever onwards, take care guys 🌸
Stop destroying our habitat
You’ve achieved so much in such a short time well done I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again you mr Preston are an inspiration
If you showed only before and after, entitled 'one man, with occasional help' - NOBODY would guess less than a year, much less 150 days !
Where's the old old music??
Great video!! Good to see as a refresher the last 150 days.
AMAZING!!! What a great diary this is for you and your sons. It is hard to believe that so much has been done in really a short time. You are one very clever and determined man Dan Love it 🤗
I’ve watched every minute of this as it was happening, and yet I’m still amazed at what you have accomplished! Congratulations, Dan!
Awesome! I’ve been following this on ‘Help we bought a village’ Good luck with the renovations
When you look back you have come along way Dan well done hard work and dedication great achievement cheers mate. 👍🇦🇺👍
Great recap. All I hear myself saying is 'oh I remember that' over and over. Thanks Dan.
So much achieved in 150days!! Well done Dan and helpers of course. Can't wait to see the next chapter. Hi from Ireland
It’s been a great journey to watch and to see the channel explode. Thanks for so many hours of enjoyment. I look forward to your videos
It's been quite the journey, and there's still more work to come. Im excited for the roof; keep up the great work, Dan!
So much progress, Dan the Man! We’re all really proud of you ❤ One goal at a time, you’re really bringing the chateau back to life!
Fantastic Even better when you put it all together We forget how far you’ve traveled There is going to be a once again beautiful chateau in amongst these trees ✊✊👍👍👍💕🕊️
Recaps like this are great because it show just how much has been done, and 150 days really isn't that long of a time! So kudos! ❤️
Always appreciate your choice of music too Dan! Fabulous and funky...
Wow, what a transformation in 150 days. Great work, Dan.
I'd forgotten how big some of interior trees were. Just the sheer amount of work to remove debris is wild. Thanks for a look back.
It was incredible how many and how big the vegetation was inside.
Missed that big tree up there 🤣!
Great vlog log Dan. Its been a journey but you have stuck with it, I have great admiration to you. Keep it up I’m enjoying your journey, so are a few others! Stay well.
So much passion, determination and love you radiate. Thank you Dan. You are truly a great inspiration for all of us...
Simply awe inspiring Dan. Congratulations. 150 days have flown. Onwards and "upwards"!
Can’t wait for the next 150 days. Once you get the roof on the rooms start taking shape. The grounds will be amazing as well. Hugs from 🇨🇦 Canada. ❤️
The accomplishments are so real now. I can't believe it's been 150 day and so much done. Great job!
Wow, you are amazing, I can't believe you are doing this mostly by yourself and filming at the same time...Can't wait for the next video, I watched all of them in 3 days...LOL
