Well, i’m 37 years old, i live in the Dominican Republic and i discovered the joy of cross stitch at the end of 2020 with flosstube (Even though my mother used to stitch when she was younger, she stopped before i was born). Since then i just want to stitch all the things, i helped my mom to start stitching again and that really made us find common ground. I’m grateful and happy that flosstube exists and ladies like you, i have learned so much and i enjoy the community. So its really great that negative people stay of flosstube. By the way I love the Smith Sampler by the Scarlett House since i saw it in your channel and every time i see it in the background of your videos so i’m planning to start it soon.

I love watching your flosstube. Not changing the channel.😂 I too was blown away by the show and tell on B & L last video. I just hope the next generation appreciates the beautiful needlework so many are stitching these days. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hi, Carol! I was yelling “amen!” To the t.v. when you were talking about pre- remote control days. I remember after a grueling day at the mill, my Dad would recline in his lazyboy. My brother and I would take turns flipping between channel 3 and 10. Lol!

Carol you are amazing and do beautiful work. You are so right that if you don’t cross stitch, then you shouldn’t watch these videos. I love them and watch some multiple times. I also love seeing your quilts! They are beautiful. I truly look forward to watching your videos. Keep us entertained. I love you and your effort for us!

Carol!! I paused your video twice and ordered charts!! Twice!! That’s how boring I think you are…. NOT! Your stitching and framed pieces are inspired and even the things you show us that you’d like to start expose me to things I hadn’t seen. I don’t get to spend a lot of time on flosstube, work and life keep me very occupied during the week, that said, I know where to go when I want stitching inspiration. It may be your videos or someone else but I only watch what I enjoy. I watched the show and tell with Brenda and Laura, it was wonderful to see so many other stitchers with amazing finishes and projects!
Thanks for your time and the videos! Happy Stitching!
PS: I have Ann Dale and have wanted to stitch it since the Quilters Station Retreat. Lisa (kindred stitcher) showed her finished Ann Dale, I fell completely in love. The only thing holding me back is the fabric. I want something like Lisa used, vintage patina. Can’t wait to see your start of it.

Thank you for doing your video's and showing your beautiful work. If it wasn't for you and other floss tubers i would never see any cross stitching and different patterns. There is know close L & H'S near me. All i can see is what's at 123 stitch. I love seeing others work and seeing what haul they bought. So keep the floss tube video's coming.

Thank you, Carol for all the charts/project kits you showed during your video. I think you are the most knowledgeable tuber out there. I was amazed how you could look at a kitted up project and chime out the fabric color, count and company that the linen was, and who had finished it years before and where you saw it to inspire you to purchase it. I thoroughly enjoy learning from you. The ones that say negative things, say it out of jealousy! Hold your head high.

Carol, thank you for reviewing the linens and the comparisons. I think that is the hardest part for me--choosing a linen for a project. So often, the photos provided with the patterns appear to be totally different than what is called for so it's somewhat deceiving. So true about what you said about putting people on a pedestal. And, like you said, why would people watch something if they think it's boring? No one is forcing someone to watch it. I not only get entertained, but I absorb so much knowledge from other stitchers and quilters. I love it! Happy stitching!

Have a look at Zweigart Vintage Country Mocha. Reasonably priced because it's produced by Zweigart and not over-dyed. Works well on samplers with a little bit of mottling but not too much. Available in 35/36 and 40 count and some lower counts as well. It's my go-to.

Hi Carol - I really enjoyed the video today! The pieces you worked on in the last couple weeks are amazing! I especially love that border on Lucy Calcutt . Wow! I enjoyed the “tour” through your Scarlett House box. It reminded me there are a lot of Scarlett House patterns I really like and want to stitch! I appreciate you showing how the Needle and Flax linens could sub for some of the Lakeside colors. And I agree that those “regular” ladies from Brenda and Laura’s video have truly amazing stitching. Thanks for a really great video. Have a wonderful couple of weeks.

I am enjoying some of ALL your videos! This one is about a year ago, and you just showed us your floss...in a 2-ring binder! WOW!!!! I LOVE that! It's so much neater and more contained rather than putting them all on 1 single ring! YOU are as smart as a whip there!!! Or whoever thought of doing that if it was not you, this gave me a better idea for the future as to 'how' to keep my threads for my projects! Thank you, dearly, for sharing that with us! I found FlossTube TV at the beginning of March 2023, so much of this is still brand NEW! And yet I've been stitching since I was a child! FlossTube has taught me SO much! And you, you are a plethora of knowledge when it comes to Samplers! I LOVE your taste, your choices of colors and patterns! Samplers have always been a favorite of mine! There is something about them that draws me to them! I have designed ONE of my own that hangs proudly on my living room wall, and it says, "Over the river and through the woods." My ex-in-laws lived on the St Clair River here in Michigan and we were always going to Grandma's house so it was a very fitting Sampler design I cam up with!

Thank you for another wonderful visit. I learn so much from you. Thanks for showing subs for linen. Also because of you and your knowledge, this hoopless (hubs calls me that for both x stitching, quilting and normal embroidery) stitcher went out to buy a small hoop so I could do over one on 40 ct. linen. It helped me do the stitching with ease. Thank you for sharing that trick. I personally thought that Brenda and the serial starters last flosstube was absolutely their best with sharing all those talented ladies’ work. The sweetness of the hosts, the willingness of the studio audience to put themselves out there to show their work with us all. It was inspirational. The fellowship of stitchers. Now I’m reminded why I left Facebook but for medical support groups. What is wrong with people?

I loved your Scarlett House parade, look forward to seeing what you decide to work on. I am in love with that quilt behind you! The colors are fabulous! I agree, why would anyone waste their time watching something that "bores" them? Life is too short! I loved your memory of your younger siblings changing the channel and bringing your drinks! Reminds me of me! I am the oldest of 4. My sister would always want to tag along when I would hang out with my friends. I would make her walk 10 feet behind us! You will love this one- my youngest child, my son, who is 24 now, and graduated from college last spring, was quarantined at home with us spring semester 2020. Totally agree on why watch something if you think it's boring??
People seriously confuse me everyday! 😂

I just want to say that you are hands down my favorite for Flosstube. You are so down to earth and so sharing with information that I really appreciate your videos. It was so helpful to hear you talk about Needle and Flax linen as I have been looking at her site for a bit but was unsure of what color of the linen was really like. It is so hard looking at a computer screen and try to figure out what the color actual is! Thank you so much for giving me the information I needed. Please don't ever change!

Thank you for taking the time to let us all feel like we are artists and "to go for it". Being in the deep South there is no one who cross stitches here much so I look forward to seeing your channel, and finding out what is going on in the stitching world. Thanks again for letting me vent, let me find my lil tool and start froging again. I guess before I start being critical of others I need to learn to count.

Thank you for your video. Fun as always! Your WIPS are so pretty! The kit parade was great! I saw that thread on Facebook, and thought the same thing. And there were so many that commented????🤔🤔🤔 Oh well, to each his own. We just don't need to hear about it! Take care and happy stitching!

Carol, I always look forward to each new episode. I know I will have a smile on my face and inspiration. When I was young one of the lessons we were taught was, "If you don't have anything nice to say, do not say anything at all" It is a great goal to strive for in our daily lives. It is an interesting phenomenon that some people find pleasure in negativity. Be cheery and keep recording your floss tubes and sharing your wisdom.

I’ve only been cross stitching for two years but I’ve found making white dmc two strand threads look good was impossible. Instead I’ve discovered Sulky petite thread which is a single thread equal to two strands. I presently am transitioning to all Sulky. My go to fabric is 16 count Aida.
As for Brenda and Laura’s video of the different stitchers in Arizona, I watched it twice in two days. Wow! So many of their samplers were what I would consider once in a lifetime projects. I was so inspired.
When we were first married my husband would tell me to change the channel on the T V even when I was in another room. After a few weeks I finally caught onto what he was doing. That was 47 years ago.

YOU are not boring. In fact you are my very favorite flosstuber...don't tell Brenda & Laura or Fox & Rabbit I love watching them too as they are great also. It might be the midwestern connection we share (I'm from Iowa orignially) and you have my sister's name, Carol, so that gives you a big headstart. Anyway I laugh out oud when I watch you! You take thoughts right out of my head... To say something you watch is boring says alot about the viewer...why on earth would they do that or say that. Anyway you handled it great. I just love seeing what you are stitching, the charts you show, your finishes, your stash...all of it. The linen comparison was just what I needed. It is the hardest part when ordering on line...we have no LNS here in So CAl. However my sister , Carol,
lives in AZ... 20 min from Attic Needlework! Hooray! Thank you for doing these floss tubes . Thank you husband too. Keep on keeping on!

I’m with you, Carol. I love DMC too but if I see a sampler charted in silk and I can afford it, that’s what I prefer. And NPI is definitely my favorite. Colorado Cross Stitcher carries all of the NPIs and even sells the hanks! 😳. Love your stitching.

Love you! You just make me laugh and smile at your commentary and laughing at yourself. And I like to think flosstubers are no more special than my other special stitchers except they’re willing to do all work to do flosstube, my hubby had a you tube channel so I know it’s work. I would love to meet may cos to me they are friends. Thanks Carol. 💜💜

Carol, thanks so much for showing us your ingenious and clever way of storing your flosses. I really enjoy your videos so much because I don't know anyone else that does samplers. I do have a very little cross stitch shop in my town and it is a nice shop and she will order anything you want, but I just love seeing what you're stitching. I have gotten back to stitching samplers after many years away from it and I'm loving it. Thanks so much for sharing. :) :) I have learned so much from watching your channel. Your samplers are gorgeous!!

What a breath of fresh air! If I were a flosstuber (but I'm not that important 🤣😅), I'd have said the same thing about "hey, dummy, if you don't like it, change the channel!" BTW, coffee reheated in the microwave is terrible ..... I feel your pain. I just need to drink faster!

I also saw that episode with Brenda and the Serial Starter. I did find the work beautiful, but I also felt that if you were not in the group, you were inferior. I do not want to have too continuously check my work to make sure it is perfect ,I love the process and sometimes I even love my mistakes. I often feel that new stitchers are overwhelmed when they see these works and how they are presented but thanks to people like you we are made to feel pretty important to.
I love listening to you and looking at what you have accomplished, and your wit is over the top. Thank you for being you, I hope one day we can meet and have a cup of coffee.
